Saga: Journey to the Sunrise
Arc 1: Retro Anomaly
Chapter 9 → The Arch-Sword Cleric
Lanmyth moved a bit and saw a beautiful scenery. A delicate lady in armor, shining like faint ruby, sapphire, and lavender. A translucent glow.
She was training there, holding a sword in her hand and swinging it, then returning to her stance.
Her eyes left a lavender trail, and her breath gave a twilight glow. Every step of hers sparkled with colorful micro-star-like faint gems.
Her armor covered her body but left her upper thighs, lower stomach, parts of her arms, and calves exposed. A purple clothing lay underneath her armor as her blonde hair flowed beautifully.
[Lina:- Do you have a crush, boss?]
[Me? No, what are you talking about?]
[Lina:- Your heart rate is high, and your body is releasing reward hormones.]
[Stop invading my privacy!]
He moved forward to greet her. As she swung her sword deliberately, she sensed an unknown figure behind her. She stopped, lowered her blade, and started reciting something.
Lanmyth was slowly approaching her from behind, like a thief.
A big smoke explosion happened, and when the smoke cleared, Lanmyth was lying on the ground as she sat over his stomach, pointing her blade's tip at his heart.
[Lina:- Killer move. Should I start defense protocols?]
[No! Just deepen my voice and make my hand as rigid as metal but warm. I have read some fantasy novel girls drool over. I got this.]
[LINA:- VOCAL DEPTH HAS BEEN INCREASED. VOCAL CORDS' WEIGHT IS SLIGHTLY INCREASED FOR SLOW VOICE.]
Her eyes glowed like honey, golden mascara over her eyelids, and a faint blush on her cheeks.
"Who are you?" she asked.
Lanmyth, with full confidence to die, raised his hand and rested it against her cheek. She didn't move but found it slightly weird.
"What are you doing?" she asked, pushing the sword's tip a little down.
"Be a good girl. Or I'll punish you."
She heard these words and didn't move. Like she didn't understand, she tilted her head and looked at him in confusion.
[Sh*t. I'm f**ked.]
[Lina:- You were a great boss. I'll remember you until my memory runs.]
[Shut up!]
Suddenly, something hit her mind. Meanwhile, Lanmyth, scolding Lina in his mind, zoned out, staring at the girl's eyes.
Her eyes started to become a little teary as her sword slipped from her sudden loose grip, and she grabbed her cheek, slowly realizing the words.
[Lina:- Did you do something funny?]
[Nah! She just overanalyzed my words and is interpreting them according to her fantasy. Also, where is the respect? You didn't call me boss this time, Lina.]
"Ha... uh..." She moved back, standing up and running near a tree, hiding her face there, flustered.
Lanmyth took the chance and went near her, placing a hand over her head, resting on the tree as he leaned near her ear.
She, unaware, was losing her mind, just staring blindly at the tree's bark.
"Oh! So you really are. A good girl." He complimented in a deep and slow whisper near her ear.
"Who are you?" Her soft voice came out as she was dying from this fluster.
"I am God. Came from the heavens to find my worshipper!"
His words spiraled in her head as she sat on her knees, hiding her face between her thighs and chest.
"G… g... g... God?" she spoke.
Lanmyth leaned down, gently stroking his fingers through her hair. He ran his fingers down to her neck, slowly under her chin, and then lifted her head up.
Her eyes wobbled, and her whole face was red, a trail of saliva going down her lips.
He gently stroked the tip of his nose onto hers and slowly leaned in.
"Nyaaaaaaan~"
Lanmyth heard a voice from the bushes. He was just stuck in the moment as she surrendered, he thought.
[A JAPANESE CAT?]
[Lina:- Really?]
Then he focused on her again, trying to aim for a kiss, but again.
"Meow~" He heard and thought.
[AN AMERICAN CAT??]
[Lina:- Just do your job!!]
He went a little down but still not close enough to be considered a kiss when he heard—
"STARDENBARDENHARDENBART!!"
He immediately thought.
[A GERMAN CAT???]
[Lina:- Enough!]
Lanmyth's body, on its own, left the girl's head as she fell to the ground, though not a direct fall, so she wasn't hurt.
Lanmyth saw a horn from the bushes and called out. "Zarita! I can see your horn!"
A small ringing of a bell as Zarita came out of the bushes, looking at Lanmyth with a not-so-good stare.
She came near him and whispered, "Getting another girl laid? Should. I. Leave?" She teased.
Lanmyth looked at her with anger and crossed his arms.
"So? What's with this girl?" Zarita asked.
"I don't know her. Just saw her training. I think she is also helping the folks to get rid of that anomaly."
Lanmyth proposed an idea where the girl was nodding as she stood up, pointed her sword towards Zarita, and spoke in sheer pride.
"I, Erika Judania the Second, am here on the orders of SAINT Sun Priest to collect a part of a fallen compass and defeat the unusual anomaly!"
"And I am Zarita. Also, does she mean Sundal by that Sun Saint thingy?" Zarita asked Lanmyth, where he nodded.
Erika looked at Lanmyth, and as her sword sheathed, she looked soft and shy now, biting her nails.
"What's with that horn?" Lanmyth asked, looking at Zarita's broken horn.
"Nothing! Just broke it because I felt like it," she replied.
"Weird!" Lanmyth replied and then looked at Erika as she stared at the ground.
"So, Erika. I am Lanmyth. I am grateful to meet you. Let's work together to defeat this ridicule." He extended his arm, offering a handshake.
"I... am an Arch-Sword Cleric. I weird... wield-d! My sword only to save people. I am delightful, pleasured, happy, and excited to work with you."
She just shook his hand with two fingers and then clenched them immediately. Zarita stared deadpan at their long handshake and left out of boredom.
