The Melody of Friendship

Viona's days on campus have become increasingly packed with activities, but amidst the tension between her academic pursuits and social life, someone emerged and caught her attention. Theresia, an extroverted and intelligent woman, made her presence felt distinctly. Although sometimes seemingly clumsy and impulsive, there was a charm about her that made Viona feel instantly comfortable in her company.

Theresia is a very transparent individual. She doesn't hesitate to express her opinions and can easily share whatever is on her mind. This colorful aspect of her personality makes her stand out among her classmates. With her always-messy curly hair and large glasses adorning her face, she never feels the need to wear anything glamorous on campus. She is simply herself, and that is so endearing.

One day, while Viona was sitting in the parking lot studying her notes, Theresia approached her with her distinctive cheerful expression. "Hey, you're Viona, right? I noticed you seem lonely here. Why not join the others?" she exclaimed excitedly. "By the way, I just took the MBTI test and it turns out I'm ESTP, while you're INFJ, right? No wonder you look so serious!"

Viona smiled, feeling both surprised and accepted. "Oh, hi! Yes, I'm just studying a bit. Thank you, Theresia. But I'm quite comfortable here."

However, Theresia wouldn't let her off the hook, "Don't be stubborn! Come on, just join us! We can discuss while studying. It'll be fun!"

Viona felt hesitant, but there was something in the way Theresia spoke that sparked her interest. Eventually, she agreed to join. In their first meeting, Theresia took Viona to a café on campus famous for its coffee and pastries. While enjoying their snacks, they began to chat.

"So, you like studying anatomy? I hate it! It feels like endless memorization," Theresia complained in a very carefree manner. Viona laughed. "Same! But I'm trying to stay motivated because it's important for our future careers."

"Hmm, you could be a great doctor, Viona, because you are so disciplined. But honestly, sometimes I feel this burden makes us feel like robots!" Theresia lamented while fiddling with her hair. "You know, please remind me not to fall asleep in class! If not, I could ruin our reputation as serious medical students," she added with a wink.

That was the beginning of their friendship. Theresia filled Viona's days with laughter and cheer, even though her occasionally grumpy demeanor could make the atmosphere quite amusing. Viona felt fortunate to have a friend like Theresia, who was not only smart but also very entertaining.

One day, while they were working on assignments in the library, Theresia accidentally dropped the books she was carrying, and in her clumsiness, she bent over to gather them. "See! Intelligence and I never really get along," she exclaimed while laughing heartily. Viona could only shake her head and smile at her friend's silliness.

They started spending more time together, which made Viona feel more confident in socializing. Theresia was not shy about interacting with anyone, and sometimes, her courage rekindled Viona's spirit to not only focus on academics but also enjoy her time on campus.

Amidst this friendship, Viona noticed how Theresia, despite her clumsiness, always managed to establish good relationships with those around her. She was curious about how Theresia could be so open. One day, while having lunch, Viona mustered the courage to ask, "Theresia, how can you be so comfortable interacting with others? I want to learn from you."

Theresia leaned back in her chair and smiled widely. "It's simple! You just need to be yourself and not be afraid to show who you are. Many people out there want to interact but also need a little push. So, why not be the one who gives that encouragement, right?" She spoke with such enthusiasm that it seemed to ignite a spark of confidence within Viona.

Viona nodded while thinking. Theresia's words resonated deeply with her. The charm and honesty of her friend gave Viona the courage to begin open communication with James, Alex, and Frans. If Theresia could do it, why couldn't Viona?

Their closeness not only impacted Viona socially but also provided a positive boost in her studies. Theresia often helped solve difficult problems, even though sometimes their study sessions became chaotic with laughter and overlapping jokes.

"Viona, you have to learn from my mistakes. Don't get caught up in love troubles that make it hard to focus!" Theresia remarked while they were studying, referring to Viona's complicated feelings toward James, Alex, and Frans. Viona couldn't help but laugh, "Hey, how do you know?!"

"That's what friends are for! Read the situation, Viona! We can all see how your eyes light up every time you mention Frans," Theresia replied, making Viona lower her head, feeling shy. She knew her friend was right. Her feelings for Frans were indeed stronger, even though James and Alex also had their own appeal.

As time went on, their friendship grew stronger, until one day when they were at the café after class, Theresia faced Viona with excitement. "Okay, Viona! It's time for us to make a plan! We need to do something to make all three guys fight for your attention!"

Viona was taken aback. "What do you mean?" she asked curiously.

"Here's the thing. Let's throw a small party at the dorm. Invite all our friends, and let them compete for your attention. Who knows, you might find the one there!" Theresia exclaimed enthusiastically. Though a bit crazy, the idea was truly appealing to Viona. There was a moment when she felt trapped between her feelings and her desire to have fun.

"What if something goes wrong?" Viona felt worried.

"Oh, come on, don't stress! As long as you really want to find the right person, this party could be a great first step. Plus, I'll be right beside you!" Theresia reassured her. Finally, Viona felt moved to give it a try.

In the preparations for the party, Theresia showcased a different, deeper side of herself. "Let's go shopping at the supermarket!" she suggested one afternoon. They headed to the nearest supermarket, with Theresia eagerly picking out decorations for the party. "We need everything to make this party lively!" she said while lifting a colorful decoration pack.

While they were shopping, Theresia began to share more about her family. "My family is famous in music; my dad is a pianist, and my mom is a violinist. They often perform with orchestras and have a lot of fans worldwide. Classical music has been a part of my life since I was born, but sometimes I feel pressured by the expectations to be as talented as they are," she revealed, with a mixture of pride and sadness in her voice.

Viona listened attentively. "Wow, that's amazing! What's it like living in a famous family?"

"It's both fun and daunting. People always expect me to play an instrument, while I'd rather study medicine. Sometimes, I feel like a shadow behind their success," Theresia replied sincerely.

Hearing Theresia's story made Viona feel even closer. "I really admire your courage to be yourself. We all have our challenges, right?"

After finishing their shopping, they returned to the dorm excitedly. The party preparations provided a cheerful moment and a deeper understanding of one another, making them a well-suited pair as friends.

The night of the party arrived, and with her cheerful friend by her side, Viona was ready to celebrate not just herself but also a moment to explore her feelings. With Theresia, Viona felt the strength of their friendship, which made her ready to face everything ahead, including love and future challenges.

With Theresia's suggestions, Viona planned activities and games to help everyone get acquainted. As the night approached, tension and excitement intertwined. Viona felt grateful not only to have a friend like Theresia but also to discover a newfound courage within herself to confront her impending choices regarding love.

Amidst the festivities, Viona could see a cheerful James, ready to shine with his active charisma, along with the captivating Alex, and Frans, who was waiting for a moment to interact with her. She felt her heart racing; it was as if all the feelings she had tucked away began to dance.

In that merry party, with Theresia's ever-enthusiastic and quirky support, Viona was on her way to finding her true love. Knowing she was not alone, Viona felt prepared to face whatever would come, be it the complexities of love or friendships that would strengthen the bonds between them.

Theresia, with her strong demeanor and captivating personality, had become a new light in Viona's life—leading her on an exciting journey of love, filled with laughter and friendship without bounds. Viona was now ready to embrace all of this, cherishing her precious moments on campus and, perhaps, her budding feelings toward love.
