Hope's World Shaken
Hope sat frozen, staring at the leaked video on Liam's phone.
The footage was edited but to the public, it looked like undeniable proof.
Her hands clenched. Victoria had struck again.
Richard's voice was steady, but there was tension beneath it. "We have to move fast."
Hope nodded. "This isn't just about me anymore. If we don't act, you'll lose everything."
Liam shifted. "The media is eating this up. Some board members are already calling for an emergency vote to remove you."
Hope's stomach twisted. Victoria was trying to push her out completely.
But Hope wasn't going down without a fight.
A Public Response
The next morning, Hope and Richard sat before the cameras for a live press conference.
Hope's heart pounded, but she kept her expression calm.
Richard cleared his throat. "The allegations against me and Hope are false. The video was edited to manipulate the truth."
A reporter raised his hand. "Do you have proof?"
Hope took a deep breath. "Yes."
She turned to the screen behind them where an unedited version of the footage played.
It showed the full conversation Richard never mentioned a bribe. Instead, he spoke about giving Hope an equal chance, just like any of his children.
A wave of murmurs rippled through the crowd.
Hope's voice was steady. "Victoria Sinclair wants control over this family. She will do anything to destroy me including fabricating evidence."
Another reporter leaned forward. "So you're accusing your father's wife of orchestrating this?"
Richard met the cameras directly. "Yes."
Gasps. Flashing cameras. The room exploded with questions.
Victoria had been exposed.
But Hope knew better than to celebrate.
Because Victoria never lost quietly.
Victoria's Breaking Point
At the Sinclair mansion, Victoria watched the press conference in rage.
She threw her wine glass against the wall.
Ethan sighed. "They flipped it on you."
Victoria's jaw clenched. "Hope just made a mistake. She thinks this is about power. But for me" she turned to Ethan, eyes burning "this is personal."
Ethan smirked. "So what's next?"
Victoria picked up her phone and dialed a number.
When the call connected, she spoke one sentence:
"It's time to bring him back."
Ethan's smirk faded. "You're serious?"
Victoria's lips curled into a dangerous smile.
"Oh, I'm very serious."
The Return of a Ghost
That night, Hope was reviewing documents in her room when her phone rang.
Unknown number.
She hesitated, then answered. "Hello?"
A deep, familiar voice sent chills down her spine.
"Miss me, Hope?"
Her blood ran cold. No. It couldn't be.
The voice chuckled. "I told you I wasn't gone forever."
Hope dropped the phone.
Nathan was back.
