Chapter 14: Anguish released

Millan walked back to their place to meet Muye but she was nowhere to be found. His min immediately screamed danger. Where could she have gone? What must have happened to her? Unanswered questions bolted within his mind at lightning speed.

"I am a very bad brother." He muttered under his breath while ruffling his brown hair locks. After hours of searching, Kaisen also joined him in the search.

"What must have happened to her?" a baritone voice asked as its owner stared at the unconscious Muye. She seemed peaceful unlike her earlier state. Watching the sun set, he stood up and left as the sunset alerted him of something he had to do.

Muye's eyelids flattered open but only got a glimpse of his back and wavy long hair. Soon after a second, she dived back into her slumber as the eyelids grew heavier.

Moments later, she woke up to a well-lit room unlike her previous stone room that emanated peace even though she felt it for few seconds before she drifted back into her forced slumber. Slowly, she shifted her weight onto her elbow and pushed herself to sit and get a better view of the area. On scanning carefully, she realized she was in Millan's inn room.

In order to hunt down their hunters, they had rented an inn to base from for a few days. The inn had great features such as the rock she was standing on earlier, it was positioned at the sea shore and flowers in its garden were richly scented.

Muye stood up and headed for the door but it was immediately opened on the other side revealing Millan alongside Kaisen carrying food meant for her. Kaisen offered a small smile but Muye just looked away letting her harsh words flow free from her peach lips. Her words cut short whatever Kaisen was going to say.

"Brother, take away your little sweet heart before I do anything worse. Do not test me!" the clear threat was enough to make Kaisen bite her succulent lips hard almost to the point of blood.

"Go away!" she shouted but this time tears flowed alerting Millan of the anguish she had buried deep down. He stepped closer and hugged her. She kept murmuring the same words. Kaisen finally decided to walk away as Muye sobbed louder in her brother's embrace.

"Let it out. Let it go."

.........

"Oh no! They are both in trouble. I must warn them." Huchin spoke to himself as he woke up abruptly from a dream-nightmare. He was sweating profusely, concern and horror evident in his features.
