Hidden Identities

My legs slid from his waist, and I kissed him on my tip toes before we broke apart. I couldn't stop touching the stubble on his face with a little frown.

"She shaved me," he grumbled, frowning back, grabbing his top from the floor, and pulling it on as my eyes widened when I realised he didn't have chest hair either.

"Is it like that everywhere?" I asked with a smirk and a glance at his groin. Maybe he should reverse, and we can make out again and again.

"You were a virgin not long ago," he laughed, taking my hand and pulling us to the door.

"I still am," I huffed indignantly.

As I opened the door, he squeezed my hand, smiled at me with a warmth that set my nerves on fire, and let go. His demeanour shifted with the setting sun, and I turned my head to him in surprise. He looked at Rain at the end of the hall with destain and turned to his brothers with a smirk when we reached them.

'There seems to be a face only you can see,' Adam's signature raised eyebrow tone bounced around my head.

Devon can read minds, though.

"Long time no see," he nodded at Devon, shaking his head and hiding a repressed smirk.

This was not the vibe when we walked into the room, but then again, Nexus was in a vulnerable position, so I imagine this cold vibe would have been a little too much when they'd been looking for him for months.

"Very long time, little brother," he replied, avoiding a laugh in his voice.

I watched them with interest and a raised eyebrow when he and Orion nodded at each other without a word.

It's giving a brother's gang; they're acting the same. They'll stare at Rain and sneer or something.

I shook my head, and a glint of silver in Rain's hands excited me. I ran towards him, causing the brothers to snap their stares at me as I snatched the batch and hit him in the legs with it. Waves of satisfaction burned through me as he barked a roar and rubbed at the side of his leg.

I wanted to laugh but also see what they would do because Devon seemed to be struggling based on the sound he made when he screamed. Devon turned to Rain, the repressed smirk unrestrained and evil, and then he looked at Orion. This doesn't look good for Rain; I looked around quickly and dragged a fancy gold chair with plush, deep pink cushions from the side.

'Weird place to have a chair,' Ad commented, and I laughed.

Not if you have guards posted.

I might have to put this in my inventory. I got comfortable and looked up, jolting back when four eyes watched me intently. Three pairs of eyes turned on the one still staring at me, and Devon attacked him, kicking him in the groin. I barked a laugh as the air left Rain's body, and he crumpled to the floor on his knees with his hands cupping his groin.

"What the fuck?" he wheezed, staring at his uncles with shock and betrayal.

"Do you think we don't know what you've done?" Nexus sneered, anger flashing in his eyes as he and Devon looked at me and quickly averted their eyes.

Oooo, if I hadn't already killed him, he would have entered this mansion horizontally and left vertically wrapped in one of these fancy curtains.

"I haven't done anything," Rain spoke through gritted teeth, and Orion snorted.

"You're the worst of us, and that's a tall order next to our grandfather," Devon grumbled, and Rain's face went ghostly pale.

'He looks ill,' Adam snickered.

He's scared of his grandfather. What has he done? Worse than what he did to me? That is surprising.

I pulled a bag of Skittles from my inventory and chewed on them without restraint. I'm not too good at eating sweets in small quantities. Nexus jumped forward and smacked Rain with his elbow on the top of his head. Rain dropped onto the floor, and I clapped my hands excitedly when he didn't know where to put his hands, moving them at lightning speed to his head and groin. He is wailing now, but Orion still kicked him in the stomach while he was down. I laughed and nearly choked on a mouthful of Skittles, pulling a can of Red Bull I put in there last night and fizzy as if it had just been opened.

'They were waiting for Nexus,' Adam said, his voice showing a hint of respect.

We all were. Now, the fun can begin.

I put my new chair in the space, and we left Rain, crawling around the floor like a worm searching for the dirt. Most of the rooms on the top floor were bedrooms with different types of BDSM equipment, and when I walked into the room full of toys, I couldn't lie; I was shocked, and I started laughing awkwardly as I stared at a purple tentacle end looking thing and Nexus caught me.

"Do you like the look of that?" Nexus smirked, and I turned away to stare at the wall with the door to get the fuck out of there.

I'm likely giving him some great ideas. In astonishment, I nearly dropped the bat and pointed it at the wall filled with rows of exquisite masks. Oh my god! These look expensive; I put the bat against the wall and picked up an emerald green mask that would cover from the top of her lips to the top of her head and was shaped to resemble those beauty products people use with the light that hits their faces.

Is this clean?

I dropped the mask into my crafting inventory.

'Yes, practically brand new,' he murmured.

I sighed in relief and tried the mask on.

"Pick a mask, boys, and I'll make sure it's clean," I cackled excitedly and picked my bat up to pose in a mirror behind the door.

"You look gorgeous out of those patient clothes and injections," Nexus murmured, handing me a blood-red mask identical to mine but with the mouth covered, "I have a few famous stars under my wing, and I'm everywhere online."

"I get it. My family owns the only hotel in the town, and people will stay close to the city. I had a few scandals in my last year of school," I sighed, and my eyes shifted away from him behind the mask.

"I doubt any of it is the truth," he murmured back, straightening himself and shifting to my left side as Devon came over with a wolf whistle, matching his wolf mask.

'How original,' Ad sighed with a smile in his voice.

Orion came over, and I took his mask with the giant bunny ears, one bent hallway and the other standing straight with a sharp point. I raised an eyebrow at him and flipped his mask to grab the makeshift knife as I handed the clean masks back over. I'm taking all of them. If they've all been cleaned, they will be perfect for the girls who stay by my side.

If there were more like Orion's, too, it would be a big help in safety. He looks harmless but can take the mask off and kill anyone, and it wouldn't matter because they wouldn't be able to tell a soul about his identity. I clapped happily when I saw the four of us in the mirror.

"Fifty shades of an apocalypse," I snickered, unable to ruin the cool image we had created.

"No one needs to know where we got these from," Orion hissed, staring at Devon and causing him to move closer to Nexus.

"Scout's honour," Devon replied, putting two fingers in the air, and I laughed.

"You never went to Scouts," Nexus sighed, pulling the door open so Rain could eavesdrop on us.

"Don't eavesdrop on me," I roared, punching him in the throat and taking the masks into my inventory without a care as he choked at the door.

Devon pushed him out of the way as I returned to the door, and we left the floor and checked the other two floors. I was hoping she was a secret cosplayer, too, and I could get some limited edition and expensive as shit replicas of some game weapons I reckon we could wield without an issue. At least I know that I can. I wonder how long it would take to get some commissions sent out and made to produce some decent zombie-killing weapons.

I wonder if arms dealers deal with those kinds of weapons, too. If there's a customer for it, I'm sure they do it. I will have to make a few calls about this. The rest of the house was a waste of time, but I took every single box of condoms and lube because I knew they would come in handy, and you could supply a large supermarket.

My body went rigid as I felt the implant in my arm.

Oh, fucking hell!

'You can unlock a pill like an implant that will turn your reproduction off, and you take another one when you want it back on,' I stopped moving when he said that.

What? How am I meant to craft that? What kind of ingredients do I need to find?

'Some ingredients won't be available until level two zombies appear,' he mentioned sadly.

I need a nurse and a sexual health clinic. By the time the apocalypse starts, it won't work, and I'm not carrying babies around in an apocalypse.

The basement was divided into three sections by walls, and the next two were filled with crisps, biscuits, cakes, and other sweet and savoury treats that didn't go off too quickly.

"How many people does she entertain here?" Orion grumbled.
