Tony had everything ready. He handed over some equipment and supplies to Yinsen.
By now, Yinsen was no longer surprised by the things Tony pulled out of nowhere. After all, there was still another Tony working in the middle of the cave.
At first, Yinsen had been scared out of his mind when he saw Tony split into two. His entire worldview, shaped by science, had completely shattered. It took him two days just to adjust.
He took the items Tony gave him and listened carefully to how they worked. The gear in his hands disappeared instantly and was now fully equipped on his body. He could feel the solid armor under his fingers, yet it felt weightless, as if it wasn't even there. It had also adjusted perfectly to his size.
Meanwhile, Tony was gulping down milk like crazy, chugging it straight from the bottle. Two liters—neither too much nor too little—but his stomach was completely filled with milk. He could even hear the sloshing sound when he moved. He was sick of drinking it.
The moment he finished, the milk inside him turned into a warm current, spreading through his entire body.
The exhaustion from working in the cave disappeared. The poisoning symptoms in his chest were gone too. He took out a healing potion and smashed it on the ground between him and Yinsen.
The shattered bottle released a glowing liquid that splashed onto both of them. Instantly, their wounds started healing at an incredible speed. The fragments in Tony's chest were slowly pushed out as new muscle grew.
Before long, his chest had fully healed, and the arc reactor was forced out of his body.
Yang Tao, seeing the results, asked, "How do you feel?"
"I think… I've never felt this good before!" Tony touched his chest, then picked up the arc reactor and installed it into his suit.
"Alright! Now it's my turn to put on a show. Are you ready, Yinsen?"
Tony, now fully suited up, turned to Yinsen.
"Ready. No problem."
"Start the installation process. Activate the suit."
Yinsen typed a few commands on the computer. A loading bar appeared on the screen. It quickly reached 100%, and in that instant, all the power in the cave was drained to activate the suit.
The sudden blackout alerted the terrorists. Two of them were sent to check the cave.
When they reached the door, they peeked inside, but it was pitch black. They couldn't see anything. One of them pulled out a key and unlocked the door.
The moment the door opened, a hidden trap exploded, sending them flying.
Alarms blared. The entire base was now on high alert, and everyone rushed toward the cave.
Tony stepped forward and charged out. He couldn't afford to wait—if the enemies had time to react, things would get complicated. This place was packed with weapons, and his Mark I suit was just a metal shell with a flamethrower. Its defense was weak.
He fought off every enemy that came his way. One by one, they were taken down. Soon, there was no one left standing.
He gathered all the weapons and ammo, stored them in a red envelope, and sent them to Li Yunlong.
"Yinsen, come with me! We need to get as far away as possible before reinforcements arrive!"
Yinsen ran out of the cave. He hadn't joined the fight and was completely unharmed. The gear he wore was just for protection.
The two of them ran deep into the desert.
After a while, they looked back—no one was chasing them.
Tony took off the heavy Mark I suit. Even with an assistive system, it was still way too bulky.
"Yang Tao, I'll send you the Mark I suit. I can't leave it behind. Also, I'll return the gear I borrowed through the red envelope."
Having seen the future events, Tony knew about the Iron Monger suit. It was created because his blueprints and armor remains had been discovered. He had already destroyed all the blueprints. Now, he just needed to get rid of the armor.
