Chapter 32: Come Inside for a Visit

Wencai asked, "Master, what's a special burial method? Is it a French funeral?"

Uncle Nine got angry and glared at him. "Shut up!"

As everyone slowly dug up the coffin, Ren Fa, lying inside, was getting excited. He was about to be free!

"Group leader, how should I mess with Uncle Nine?"

Yang Tao thought for a moment. "Uh… depends on the situation!"

Soon, the entire coffin was dug out. It was pitch black, completely different from the original version.

Ren Fa had enhanced the coffin using points and even learned the Undetectable Extension Charm from the Harry Potter world, making its interior much larger.

At this point, the coffin was practically a personal magical artifact. It could speed up cultivation and even be stored inside Ren Fa's body at will.

Zhang Wenjing looked at Ren Fa's coffin. "Ren Fa, are you sure your sense of aesthetics is okay? Why pick a coffin as your artifact? It's ugly and unlucky!"

Ren Fa sighed. "Back then, I was stuck inside this coffin and couldn't get out, so I had no choice but to modify it. Now, I'm already a zombie, so I've gotten used to it. It's actually pretty nice now!"

By this time, the coffin had been hoisted up, and Uncle Nine was getting ready to open it.

"The great and mighty Master Ren is about to see daylight again! Anyone born in the Year of the Rooster or the Year of the Ox, turn around and look away!" Uncle Nine called out to the crowd.

Then, out of nowhere, a voice added, "Anyone with 'Feng' or 'Jiao' in their name, please turn away too!"

Uncle Nine : "…" You might as well just call me out by name!

"Who's messing with me?! Show yourself!"

Uncle Nine scanned the area, but no one responded.

Then, a trembling voice near the coffin spoke up. "Uncle Nine… Uncle Nine, I think the voice came from inside the coffin."

Another person chimed in. "Yeah, I heard it too. I thought I was imagining things."

Uncle Nine frowned and quickly stepped closer to examine the black coffin. At first, he thought it was just painted black, but upon closer inspection, he realized the black color was natural. The entire coffin had a stone-like texture.

He knocked on the coffin, and instead of the usual wooden sound, it rang like metal.

At that moment, an annoyed voice came from inside the coffin. "Stop knocking! I'm not taking visitors today!"

Uncle Nine instinctively took a step back. This time, everyone heard it loud and clear—the voice was coming from inside the coffin.

Master Ren turned to Uncle Nine and asked, "Uncle Nine, what's going on? Why is there a voice inside the coffin?"

Uncle Nine was just as confused. The coffin was completely sealed, and even if someone had been alive inside, they should've suffocated by now. He didn't even consider the possibility of a silver-armored zombie. Old Master Ren had only been dead for twenty years—there was no way he could have refined his throat bones that quickly. That would take at least five hundred years of cultivation and conscious effort.

"Everyone, step back," Uncle Nine instructed. Not that he really needed to say it—most people had already moved far away. Only Ren Fa, his daughter, and a few others, including Wen Cai and Qiu Sheng, remained nearby.

Even Ren Tingting's cousin, Ah Wei, had run off into the distance.

Uncle Nine then pulled out some talismans and walked back toward the coffin.

Zhang Wenjing laughed. "Haha! Uncle Nine totally got scared just now!"

Yang Tao smirked. "Why don't you invite Uncle Nine to sit inside your coffin later and see if he dares?"

Ning Caichen shook his head. "No way, Uncle Nine isn't that reckless. He knows something's wrong with the coffin—there's no chance he'd go inside!"

At that moment, Naruto entered the livestream and saw Ning Caichen's comment. He scoffed. "Brother Ning, of all people, you shouldn't be saying that! Remember when everyone told you to stay away from Lanruo Temple, and you still went in? You knew it was dangerous, but you walked right in anyway!"

Ning Caichen defended himself. "That's different! It was raining!"

Then the group chat filled with laughter as someone mimicked him, saying, "The rain was too heavy, the night was too dark, and I was too tired!"

Meanwhile, Uncle Nine stood before the coffin and spoke firmly. "Senior! Please show yourself. Stop playing tricks!"

A deep sigh came from inside. "Ah, Uncle Nine, Uncle Nine… I've been waiting for you for so long! Since you want to meet me, why don't you come inside my coffin and have a little chat?"

As Ren Fa spoke, he controlled the coffin to stand upright, and with a loud creak, the lid slowly opened.

"Come in!"

Uncle Nine looked inside the coffin. There was no one there, just a door at the bottom of the coffin with the word "Push" written on it!

He stared at the door for a long time, thinking. Then he turned around and said to the others, "Master Ren, you all go back! It's dangerous here! Wencai, Qiusheng, you two return to Yizhuang. If I don't come back tonight, go to Mount Mao and send a message immediately!"

Master Ren hesitated. "Uncle Nine, this..." The whole situation was beyond belief. A voice had come from his father's coffin—his father, who had been dead for twenty years. And now, they were inviting Uncle Nine inside? If this weren't his father's coffin, he would've run away without a second thought.

Hearing Uncle Nine give such serious instructions to his disciples, it was clear that the danger was real. Even he wasn't confident about handling it. Thinking this, Master Ren spoke up. "Uncle Nine, I'll leave this to you then. Ergouzi, stay here and keep watch. See if Uncle Nine has any orders!"

Ergouzi, Master Ren's servant, was so scared that his legs nearly gave out, but he had no choice but to stay.

Soon, everyone else left. Only Uncle Nine remained, with Ergouzi standing far, far away.

Uncle Nine took a deep breath, reached out, and pushed open the wooden door at the bottom of the coffin!
