Chapter 142: Hinata Crushes Naruto  

The next day, Yang Tao followed Namikaze Minato and Kushina to the tournament venue. The area was already packed with people. 

After finding their seats and sitting down, he turned to Minato and said, "Minato, after Danzo dies, you and Orochimaru should put on a show to pave the way for you to become Hokage again!" 

Minato nodded in agreement. 

Minato was deep in thought because the Konoha Crush plan was about to unfold. Even though the name no longer fit the operation, war always meant casualties. 

Soon, the first match was announced. As usual, Naruto was the first to fight, but his opponent wasn't Hyuga Neji—it was Hinata. 

Naruto and Hinata stepped into the arena. 

"Hinata, come on! Let me see how much you've improved!" Naruto said with a warm smile. 

But instead of turning into a flustered mess just because her opponent was Naruto, Hinata, with a slight blush, seemed to have made up her mind and firmly nodded. 

During their training together, Naruto had been helping Hinata improve her skills, and after spending so much time with him, she wasn't as shy anymore. 

"Match, start!" 

As soon as the referee gave the signal, Hinata activated her Byakugan and charged forward. 

Naruto, however, remained still, watching her approach. 

Hinata launched a flurry of strikes at Naruto, but the gap in their strength was massive. Naruto easily dodged every attack while giving her advice along the way. 

"Faster here!" 

"Put more force into it!" 

"Come on, quicker!" 

The fight had practically turned into a training session. Before long, Hinata's stamina was nearly depleted, and she had to pause. 

Suddenly, her expression changed. Her white Byakugan eyes shifted to a light blue, shimmering like starlight. 

"Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms!" 

"Gentle Step Twin Lion Fists!" 

"Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack!" 

Then, out of nowhere, Hinata pulled out a giant spiked club! 

"Thunderous Eight Trigrams!" 

Naruto was sent flying into the air! 

At that moment, a booming voice echoed from somewhere above. 

"The Time of Blessing! Most Benevolent! Most Kind! The Supreme! The Strongest King! Ohma Zi-O!!" 

The entire space lost its color! Naruto was frozen in midair—time itself had stopped! 

Then, a red light flashed from Hinata's pouch. A Poké Ball popped open, and an Arcanine appeared on the battlefield! 

"Hyper Beam!" 

Arcanine opened its mouth wide, firing a massive energy beam filled with destruction straight at Naruto, who was still suspended in the sky! 

Hinata clasped her hands together at her side and, in her cute voice, shouted, 

"Ka~me~ha~me~ha!" 

She thrust her hands forward, launching a powerful energy wave! 

Naruto, who had been standing there acting cool, was completely wrecked. 

Forget about being a shinobi—even if he had become a sage, it wouldn't have helped. And this was Hinata holding back! 

The damage he took was so severe that even Orochimaru and Tsunade would've just shaken their heads and said, "There's no saving him. He's done for." 

His chakra was the only thing keeping his injuries from getting worse. But with all his meridians shattered, he could only lie in bed, waiting for Hinata to take care of him. 

Of course, all of this was just Yang Tao's wild imagination. 

Back in reality, Hinata had simply stopped due to exhaustion. 

Naruto pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the sweat from her forehead. 

"Hinata, that's enough. Go take a rest. Now, it's my turn to put on a show!" 

Yang Tao watched the scene unfold, and new thoughts popped into his mind. 

"Showing off your love just makes you fall harder!" 

Sitting beside him, Kushina excitedly turned to Namikaze Minato and said, "That's the girl Naruto likes, right? She's so cute! And she's pretty strong too!" 

Minato smiled warmly at that. 

But in the stands, one man's face had turned dark, veins bulging from his forehead. 

*Crack!* 

The metal armrest of his seat snapped under his grip. 

It was Hyuga Hiashi. 

Hyuga Hiashi looked as if he had been hit by a Genjutsu. 

It was like watching a pig root around and take his family's precious, tender cabbage! 

Hinata obediently nodded in response to Naruto's words and softly said, "Naruto-kun, be careful. I'll be watching from the stands!" 

Naruto laughed. "Haha! Don't worry, Hinata! I'm really strong!" 

Hinata suddenly blushed as a thought crossed her mind. "Mm! Naruto-kun, do your best!" 

Then, she raised her hand to signal the referee. 

"I forfeit!" 

 Gekko Hayate, who had been closely watching the match, sighed and muttered under his breath, "Seriously...?" Then, he cleared his throat and announced, "Winner of the first match: Uzumaki Naruto!"
