Rose's expression shifted instantly. His eyes widened, his lips parting as if the universe had just proven him right.
Lyra, on the other hand, simply froze. She had not expected such a development to occur.
For a second, neither of them spoke.
Then, slowly, Rose's lips curled into a smile. A smile of justification.
Selene, oblivious to their presence for now, was simply walking down the street, looking unbothered and content.
Rose exhaled, his fingers twitching slightly at his sides.
"See? Destiny."
He whispered, almost to himself.
Lyra, still staring at Selene, took a cautious step away from Rose. His obsession was getting worse and somehow, her instincts were really telling her to prioritize her own life above her crush.
"Nope. Nope, nope, nope."
She had a very, very bad feeling about this. She had to warn Rose not to do anything stupid.
