The Janitor never saw Selene's attack coming. He was not anticiapting someone with her frame taking him down.

But that was what happened and Selene knew she could not let this opportunity slip by.

Selene didn't waste a second—she dragged him into a nearby supply closet and shut the door behind him before pushing through the emergency exit.

She took the stairs two at a time, her heartbeat hammering in her ears.

She had no idea how long it took, but eventually, she reached the ground floor.

The moment she stepped into the open air, she felt a surge of triumph.

'Good! I made it out and my tracker is working. This way, I can get back home and Ethan can find me easily as well. I just need to remain out in the open.'
