Every family has that one person who is born as a sacrifice. For her family, that person was Selene Vale, who was to become a spare for her younger twin siblings success.

Due to her sacrifice, Selene Vale awakened her system and innate power and was given another chance at life and survival. And this time, she vowed to free her siblings from their parent's cruel influence. If she was able to do that, then she would be happy with that.

But unfortunately, that was not all she did. She also ended up attracting the attention of the big-boss of the Apocalypse, the only L-ranked hunter and the hope of humanity....and also, a long time friend she would rather forget about.

The Spare’s Second Chance in Apocalypse

The week passed quickly, and the day of the combined dungeon raid finally arrived.

"Alright everyone, you know the rules. This raid is important, so make sure to keep yourself in line. And do not stand out too much until it's time. We do not want another target over our head, right?"

Zara tried to lighten the situation, but none of the other three were listening to her.

Even she knew that her talk was ridiculous. After all, they already had a huge target on their back. It was not as if keeping a low profile would help.

"You should stop hoping for us to take it easy, Zara. You know as well as I do that my presence is too big to let that happen."

Ethan spoke with so much confidence that Zara wanted to punch him. Before she could do that, Selene interfered.

"I think we have wasted a lot of time already. We should head out before we are late."

Selene interfered before a fight could occur.
