Tears That Could End Universes

( Play 'When The Party's Over' Till Mid Part )

-------

Eterna collapsed to her knees, her golden irises shaking as she stared at the empty void where her sister had once stood. Silence reigned, save for the faint crackling of Infernal flames in the distance.

Her mind felt hollow, her body numb. The weight of her actions—the weight of losing Nyxara—pressed down on her soul.

Then, for the first time in eons, a tear slipped from her eye.

The droplet shimmered with celestial energy, its glow pulsating with the very essence of creation and destruction. As it fell toward the scorched ground, a sharp, voice rang in Zar's mind.

[Oi Zar, Eterna's tears contain apocalyptic energy. If it touches the ground, some of universes will face apocalypse]

Zar's heart skipped a beat.

Without a second thought, he moved.

A mere flicker of space—a pulse of unseen power—and in the next instant, he knelt before Eterna, his hand gently brushing against her cheek, catching the tear just before it fell.

For a moment, everything stood still.

Eterna's teary gaze lifted, her expression unreadable. Zar sighed, relieved beyond words.

Then—

He was attacked.

Not by a blade. Not by divine power.

But by Eterna herself, who suddenly wrapped her arms around him.

Zar froze stiff.

His mind short-circuited.

Not because of the suddenness of the hug.

Not because of the absurdity of the situation.

But because—

This was the first time a woman had ever hugged him.

Not just any woman. A literal goddess.

His life before arriving here was just a day ago—when he was merely an author preparing to release his novel. A normal guy with an ordinary life. And now, a being of unfathomable power was clinging to him, trembling in his arms, her grip tightening as if afraid he would disappear.

"…Nyxara…" her voice broke, barely a whisper.

Zar had no idea how to react.

Should he return the hug? Should he push her away? Should he say something cool?

His arms hovered awkwardly, his brain running simulations at speeds that could rival the system itself.

This wasn't in the script.

This was more terrifying.

A strange warmth spread through him,

Slowly, almost hesitantly, Zar raised his hand—

Then—

A soft, yet familiar voice echoed behind them.

"Sister…?"

Eterna stiffened in his arms.

At first, she dismissed it. It had to be an illusion, the last echoes of Nyxara's existence. But when the voice called again, her breath hitched.

Her body froze.

Slowly—almost hopefully—she turned her head.

And then she saw her.

Nyxara stood there, looking as she had before she fell to corruption. Her dark eyes no longer tainted by her anger, her aura no longer filled with hatred.

Eterna's breath caught in her throat.

She had gotten everything she ever wanted.

But then, another realization hit her.

She was still hugging her master.

Like a crying child.

Heat rushed to her face as she immediately jumped back, her divine aura flickering with embarrassment. "I-I wasn't—" she stammered, quickly composing herself, though the redness on her cheeks refused to fade..

Thankfully, Zar seemed unfazed.

He simply stood up, brushing off his coat casually. "You should talk to your sister," he said in a relaxed tone, "while I take a walk around this realm."

A casual tone?

Eterna's mind snapped.

For the first time… her master had spoken to her in a casual tone. She felt strange but at same time felt good.

Before she could fully process it, Zar had already disappeared into the infernal landscape.

---------

Zar walked through the Infernal Realm, his steps echoing against the scorched earth. His expression remained neutral, his posture relaxed.

Then, without warning—

He collapsed.

The world spun, his vision blurred, and in the depths of his consciousness, he found himself inside the system space.

Zar's mental projection almost cried.

"System… Thank you!" he choked out. His voice carried so much emotion that it felt like he had just been saved from a fate worse than death.

[…You're welcome.]

Then system interface flickered, as if struggling to contain laughter.

[ You're really this grateful?]

Zar dramatically held his hands to his chest. "Of course! If you had unsealed my realm from the start—I would've died from social death!"

His over-exaggerated suffering gave the entire scene a ridiculous undertone.

Let's go back thirty minutes earlier.

---

At that time, Zar had been watching everything through a live system broadcast.

When Eterna reached the Demon Goddess's palace and the system revealed their past, Zar's eyes widened.

"Wait… they're sisters?!"

Then, a creeping realization struck him. He turned to the system, narrowing his eyes.

"…You're not seriously expecting me to fix their relationship, right?"

The system responded in the most deadpan tone possible.

[Are you an idiot?]

Zar exhaled, choosing to ignore the insult.

But before he could comment further, a blue interface appeared before him.

He raised an eyebrow. "System… when did you start changing interface colors?"

[....…]

Ignoring the silence, he read the notification.

——

[Mission Updated]

1. Ensure Eterna mends her relationship with Nyxara.

2. Stop Eterna from burning her essence to erase Nyxara.

[Reward: Full resurrection of Nyxara—without any remnants of Polyx.]

——

Zar's face went through several stages of emotions in an instant. First, shock. Then, disbelief. And finally…

"…Wait, why do I have to kill Nyxara?"

He was about to argue further, but then his eyes landed on the reward.

He stopped talking immediately.

"..."

After a moment of silence, he turned to the system.

"…Hey, what's Polyx?" he asked.

The system's tone turned playful.

[As I've said it before—you'll find out in the Nexus Academy.]

Zar sighed in pure frustration.

Then, something disturbing crossed his mind.

"How the hell am I supposed to erase a Main God's existence? I can beat them one-sidedly, sure, but I'm no able to actually erase them right now."

But the system's next words sent a chill down his spine.

[Oh, don't worry—I'm unsealing a portion of your real realm.]

Zar's entire body stiffened.

"…How much?"

[Just 3%.]

An immediate sense of dread settled over him.

Then, he felt it—a surge of power, something primal awakening within him.

Without hesitation, he sent a message to the Eternium Sanctum.

His voice boomed across the divine plane.

----------

"All Main Gods—do not interfere. Seal the Sanctum. Activate divine protections. Whatever happens, do not interrupt."

A moment of silence.

Aetherion's golden eyes widened. His connection to the Flow of Time flickered, reality itself bending under the sheer authority of the voice.

Aetherion immediately recognized it.

Master.

The weight of the order sent shivers through his divine form. He turned his gaze toward the Main Gods, and his voice resonating through there consciousness which transmitted.

"By the decree of our Master, all Main Gods had to lock the gates of Eternium! And cover it with there divine protection. And do it fast as we can."

Across the sanctum, divine energies surged.

Noctis, the God of Shadows, emerged from the void, his expression unreadable. "Just what happened?"

----------

Zar clenched his fists. If he couldn't control his power, the Wall of Dominion Incident would happen again.

Then—he ran.

As his system told him to.

---

Unimaginable Speed

But the moment he moved—

The multiverse shook.

The space around him didn't shatter. The void didn't collapse. No, it was something else.

The laws of the multiverse couldn't even process his speed.

Something impossible happened—the multiverse itself began to evolve rapidly just to catch up with him.

Zar's expression shifted from determination to pure panic.

"Shit, shit, SHIT—"

He couldn't even see properly. It felt like hurricane-force winds were slamming into his face, making his eyes turn red from the sheer force.

And all this happened in a mere second— which feels like eternity for Zar.

But as he controls his power.

He changed the direction and reached the Infernal Realm—

He lifted Nyxara by the neck.

And for one fleeting second—

His form changed.

Something beyond divinity.

And his eyes turning violet slowly but surely.
