"Logan!" the woman exclaimed. "Why do you let Marcus invite those-"
"Shut up, Alice!" I was surprised by Logan's voice behind me. He quickly stood in front of me as if shielding me from the woman attacking me.
"You're going too far, Alice!" Marcus shouted at the woman.
"Marcus!" Logan shouted at Marcus beside him. "Sort out your issues with Alice."
"Dude, we don't have issues. She's just insecure!" Marcus explained.
Logan seemed to ignore him, turning away from Marcus to face me. I stood there in shock, watching him move away from everyone. "You shouldn't have come here. This is not a good place for you," he said.
I bit my lip, playing with the broken heel in my hand. I knew. He was right. I shouldn't be here. Whatever possessed me to agree to come here with Sophie, I couldn't find it anymore. I would never fit in. This wasn't my world. It was his. And there were worlds that would never truly converge.
