I feel guilty about what I did to Marcus, especially when he texted me that he'd pick me up later tonight but I immediately declined. I had to refuse him because I still have to work later at The Barbs. He understood, but there was a hint of sadness in his reply.
Marcus said, "Okay Cassidy. See you tomorrow. I know you deserve better."
I didn't reply. I knew he was referring to Logan. I didn't say I liked Logan, but he could sense it from my reaction earlier.
Sophie smirked as she entered the Lounge. It's the second time she caught me staring blankly at the sofa, waiting for her. I never did something all day and I am afraid Mrs. Lee would find out. But I couldn't help it. My feelings couldn't handle going up to the 40th floor while Logan was still there.
"You're daydreaming, huh?" Sophie chuckled. "Are you okay even if you're just here all day?"
