The Clash of Legends – A Fusion of Might

A wall of pure obsidian fire exploded between us, forcing Siegfried to skid to a halt.

Fafnir stepped forward, his expression dark, his body radiating fury.

"Your fight is with us now." His voice was low, dangerous.

Siegfried's eyes flickered with irritation. "Out of my way, pests."

Before he could step forward again—Zarathorak descended upon him like a storm. His claws crackling with blood-red lightning.

"You will not interfere." His voice rumbled with power.

Ingi stood beside me, his hands raised as an array of intricate barriers and sigils surrounded my body, shielding me from outside forces.

They were buying me time.

They knew what was about to happen.

I gritted my teeth, feeling my body burning from the inside.

Umbaxis' essence was entering me—his very soul was fusing with mine.

His massive frame shuddered. His body cracked, the once-powerful dragon turning to stone—just like Fafnir had when he made his choice.

The air boiled with power. The chamber shook violently, cracks running along the walls as sheer force clashed between them.

Siegfried, despite being outnumbered three to one, fought like a storm given form. His movements were fluid yet unrelenting, his attacks precise, his counterstrikes merciless.

Zarathorak lunged first, his claws streaking with blood-red lightning, his tail sweeping in a deadly arc. Siegfried sidestepped smoothly, the tip of the tail barely grazing his cape—but before he could fully recover, Fafnir was already there.

"You're not slipping away this time!" Fafnir roared, his fist bursting into obsidian flames as he delivered a crushing punch.

CRACK!

The impact sent shockwaves tearing through the ground.

Siegfried blocked it—barely. His feet dug into the stone, cracks forming beneath his boots, but his expression barely wavered.

His sword twisted, deflecting Fafnir's attack, but in that instant—

BOOM!

Zarathorak's wings snapped open, creating a burst of hurricane winds that hurled Siegfried backward. Ingi followed up immediately, his hands weaving through complex sigils as chains of golden energy erupted from the floor, latching onto Siegfried's limbs.

"Got you."

But Siegfried simply exhaled.

And then—he moved.

A single, fluid twist of his wrist and—

SLASH!

The chains shattered instantly, disintegrating into nothingness.

Ingi's eyes widened. "What?!"

Siegfried's blade flickered.

And then he vanished.

"Above!" Zarathorak bellowed.

Siegfried was already descending from midair, Balmung bathed in a brilliant white glow—a single downward slash aiming for Fafnir's skull.

CLANG!

Zarathorak barreled into Fafnir, pushing him aside just in time, Siegfried's blade grazing their scales, sending sparks flying.

But Siegfried didn't stop.

His free hand struck out, fingers curled into a spearhand, and he jabbed forward—aiming straight for Zarathorak's throat.

Zarathorak barely had time to react.

BOOM!

The impact sent Zarathorak crashing through a stone pillar, dust and debris exploding outward.

"Damn it!" Fafnir growled, flames spiraling around his arm as he slammed his palms together. The chamber rumbled as a circle of searing black fire formed beneath Siegfried's feet.

"Eat this—Infernal Eruption!"

FOOOOM!

A massive pillar of black and red flames erupted beneath Siegfried, swallowing him whole. The sheer heat melted the stone floor, turning it into molten rock.

For a second, there was silence.

Then—A single gust of wind.

The flames split apart.

Siegfried stepped forward—unharmed.

Not a single burn.

Fafnir's eyes widened.

"Impossible—!"

Siegfried vanished again.

Before Fafnir could react—

A knee slammed into his gut.

CRACK

Fafnir's eyes bulged, blood spraying from his mouth as he was sent rocketing backward, crashing through multiple walls.

"Fafnir—!" Zarathorak roared.

Siegfried didn't stop.

He turned, his sword swinging in a single circular arc, aiming to bisect Zarathorak in half.

Zarathorak reacted just in time—his claws shot up, clashing against Balmung.

A shockwave exploded between them.

Zarathorak gritted his teeth as his claws cracked against Siegfried's blade. The force was too much—Siegfried was too strong.

And he wasn't even breaking a sweat.

Siegfried pushed down, forcing Zarathorak onto one knee.

"This is the might of dragons?" Siegfried mused, voice calm. "Disappointing."

But then—

"Who said we were done?"

Fafnir was back.

And he was furious.

His body blazed with power, his obsidian flames burning hotter than ever.

Zarathorak grinned.

"Now, let's really fight."

The battle-worn chamber trembled under the sheer force of their collision, yet despite the intensity of the fight—

They laughed.

Zarathorak wiped a trickle of blood from his lip, his crimson eyes gleaming. "It's just like before, huh?"

Fafnir rolled his shoulders, flames licking off his arms. "Yeah. We should thank you, Siegfried."

Siegfried's brow twitched. He was fuming.

"You're standing in my way—" His voice was taut with restrained fury. "And you're laughing?"

Ingi smirked, raising an eyebrow. "You probably don't get it, do you?"

Fafnir let out a booming chuckle. "It's because this is just like the old days!"

Zarathorak grinned wickedly. "Three dragons going all out—against a stubborn bastard who won't stay down."

Siegfried's eyes darkened. "Tch."

His grip on Balmung tightened, but before he could move—

The air shifted.

Zarathorak and Fafnir glanced at each other. Ingi raised his hands, magic beginning to swirl.

A pulse of raw power surged between them.

Zarathorak slammed his claws together, blood-red lightning crackling in the air.

Fafnir's flames coiled around him, growing darker, hotter—

Ingi's voice boomed. "Let's end this, you two!"

Fafnir grinned. "Heh. Took you long enough!"

The three of them moved in perfect unison.

"Dragon Unison: Cataclysm Requiem!"

The entire chamber erupted.

A cyclone of destruction was born—Zarathorak's blood lightning, Fafnir's infernal flames, and Ingi's celestial chains merged into a single, overwhelming force.

Siegfried's eyes widened—for the first time, he looked genuinely caught off guard.

"Tch—!"

Before he could react—

BOOOOM!

The impact obliterated the stone beneath them.

The fusion attack engulfed Siegfried completely, a massive explosion ripping through the entire cavern.

For a moment, there was only silence.

Then—A blurred figure shot through the air.

Siegfried slammed into the farthest wall, his body buried deep into the stone.

He didn't get up. Smoke and dust swirled. The ground was left scorched, cracked, and utterly destroyed.

Zarathorak huffed. "Hah… that actually worked?"

Fafnir cracked his knuckles. "Damn right it did."

Ingi exhaled, lowering his hands. "Don't let your guard down. He'll be back on his feet soon."

They turned back toward me—Umbaxis' soul transfer was almost complete.
