"So, how is she?", seeing Nero return with clenched fists and empty hands, she already knew the answer.
"Five fingers...", she felt his bloodlust fill the entire room. If that man wasn't passed out, he would probably have fun breaking every bone in his body. "She lost five fingers and you knew..."
The memory of her raising a hand in front of his face...
Well, she did it. She wouldn't deny it.
"Of course she knew, I can see the future, after all..."
"No!", almost a grunt, he approached the table. "You knew much more. Spit it out, or I won't forgive you."
Eris smiled. A little more dangerously than usual. That boy knew how to mess with her.
"Forgive?", rising from the chair, she looked into his eyes. "Shouldn't you thank me before? After all, you wouldn't have gotten here in time, right? Five fingers? No, it should have been twenty if I hadn't helped?"
He didn't look away. He didn't seem the least bit moved by her words either.
But still...
"You're right," Nero closed his eyes and took a step back. "Sorry... and thank you."
'Well, at least he knows.'
Erin sat down, perhaps a little disappointed that she didn't find a fight.
"Boo! You're no fun..."
Nero shook his head and turned around, lifting the man up on the way. Backing him against the wall, her mind thought about what to do from there.
"It's true that I knew about everything and well...", she shrugged. "If I wanted to, I could have stopped the kidnapping..."
"But you didn't," Nero concluded, looking at her as he crossed the room.
"Yeah, I didn't," she smiled. Fangs showing.
"Why?"
"You don't know?"
"I have no idea."
"Hmm..."
The sound of water being thrown against the wall. The same water prepared for the guest was used to wake the host.
He woke up and controlled himself to some extent. He looked around and knew exactly what had happened.
Nero slowly put on a pair of gloves he found nearby.
"I like them. They suit you."
He looked at them, then at his trembling victim and commented coldly:
"They're white."
The man looked away. Erin stretched in her chair.
"It goes with red. Didn't you know that children like to get dirty in the mud?"
"Hmm. Don't avoid the subject. You still haven't told me why."
In the dim light, her eyes looked like two crescent moons inviting me to look at her lips.
"Because I wanted to."
"?..."
"Why did you choose a weak human as your partner and expect her to live forever... Do you really think she will bear the weight of time while you keep her from everything except pleasure?"
Their eyes met in silence for a few seconds. Their thoughts seemed to come together as they deciphered each other's intentions.
Nero finished putting on the pair of gloves and then turned to the man lying in the corner.
He knew what would happen next, so he forced his back to stand straight.
"Alright. We can talk about this later. Now let me entertain our guest."
"I think this is unnecessary," a weak voice came from the computer. Nero didn't stop his steps.
"You think so? Why?"
"Well...", even without seeing, the man could imagine what would come next.
"Ahhhahhhh!"
He was right. But suddenly his mind went blank.
"Wow, you'd think I killed his kids after that."
"Well, you killed his hope of having kids, at least."
The pair smiled at each other.
They could almost hear the man swallowing hard behind the screen.
"Why is he screaming?" Erin deciphered his thoughts. "No need to think too much. He's still a noble vampire, it's just that he's a little more sensitive to pain now... My spells are still the best."
"I see...", the man said casually. Hurrying, he finished what he wanted to say. "He doesn't know anything, even if they torture him there's no way..."
The screams continued, fading, growing, like a terrible music in the background.
"Don't worry about it, Gabriel, it will be your turn soon."
"..."
Erin smiled as she watched in silence.
"Gabriel?"
"Yes. Gabriel," Nero walked away confused. Taking off his red gloves and rolling up the sleeves of his shirt. The fallen man and Erin seemed to sigh in harmony.
"Nice muscles, huh... Can I touch them?", the woman looked like a cat, stretching on the chair.
Nero turned the notebook, and his camera, towards him. But he still extended an arm to the perverted cat.
"I don't know who you're talking about, who is this Gabriel? I'll be happy if he takes my place. I need to thank you..."
"Huh, you're Gabriel Vritari, aren't you? Or would it be Versailles? They never accepted you very well, did they? Son of a mistress, and all that. You haven't changed even after two decades. Still with your ego hurt from being called a bastard... How ugly."
Another silence.
'He's too predictable. I can't believe I let her be taken by that stupid trash.'
"Hahaha. Poor Gabriel. I don't even know him, but I feel bad for him."
"Don't be. I haven't even laid my hands on him... on you yet," Nero commented coldly.
Then he tilted his head to that sly cat smile. Behind the camera, she now had both hands on her abdomen.
Narrowing his eyes in threat, he lightly slapped her wrist.
"But it won't be long. After all, I know where your entire clan lives...", Nero's expression softened until a mask of emptiness and obsession appeared. "... Until then, guard your neck well and drink chlorine to wash away that filthy blood of yours, I'll take both of them out of you very slowly."
Finally, the screen went completely black. This time turned off by Nero.
But even in the dark, he could perfectly imagine his fury and despair. Maybe he was destroying his entire office at that moment.
'It's good that he has some fun, enjoying his last days.'
For a moment Nero lowered his head on the table. Diana appeared in his thoughts.
She slept in the next room, far from any pain. Now all that was left was to rid her of the memories of what had happened.
"Please, take Diana to that address, call Ema, the number is on her cell phone and... erase the painful memories."
Erin raised an eyebrow.
"The ones about the kidnapping, right? She might be traumatized, you know..."
Nero closed his eyes.
"Erasing the memories of the torture is the least I can do... But the rest, that's for her to decide."
Erin nodded.
"I see. Then I have a better and somewhat creative idea."
