Chapter 10.

Lucian, who stood at the door not very sure whether he was at the right address, was stunned when the door was roughly opened, "What else do you want? Just do whatever you want. I am not interested in you all; you can have each other for all I care, that is none of my business!"

Not very sure whether the outburst was meant for him or not Lucian once more rang the bell.

Irked up, Krystie opened the door. She wanted to give the duo an earful, but that's until she saw who stood before her. Startled by the unexpected visitor, she cautiously opened the door, her eyes widening in surprise at the sight of Lucian standing there.

"Lucian, what are you doing here?" Krystie asked, her voice tinged with apprehension, she had known his name when Alex had earlier on called him out.

Lucian felt so happy hearing her call him by his name.

Without waiting for an invitation, Lucian strode into the apartment, his demeanour self-assured. He ignored Krystie's question and instead welcomed himself into her house and took a seat leaving her confused at the door.

Krystie nervously sat before him, not very sure how he had known her home or what he was up to, but she had a bad premonition about it.

"I'm here to talk about what happened between us," Lucian declared, his tone dripping with superiority.

Krystie felt her heart rate quicken as she braced herself for what was to come. She remembered all too well everything that had happened between them.

"What about it? That was nothing. I think we should just forget about it," she suggested, trying to keep her voice steady despite the rising sense of uneasiness in her heart.

Lucian turned to face her, his gaze piercing and intense. "Forget it, no way! I want compensation," he stated bluntly.

Krystie's eyes widened in disbelief. "Compensation? For what?"

"First of all, you took my first kiss and my first time that I had preserved for my future wife. You have to take responsibility for the psychological damage you caused me," Lucian replied without hesitation. "I've been traumatized by our encounter, Krystie. The emotional distress it has caused me is immeasurable, and not only that because that was more of physical assault, rape!"

Krystie had mixed reactions, she was so happy that just like him, she too was his first.

On the other side, her jaw dropped in disbelief. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Lucian, the same man who had left those beastly bite marks on her body, was claiming to have been sexually assaulted, and raped by her. What an irony!

"You've got to be kidding me," she exclaimed, her voice tinged with anger and disbelief. "You're the one who was a beast last night, how come you are playing the victim here!"

'Shameless arrogant jerk!' Krystie thought to herself rolling her eyes.

Lucian waved her objections away dismissively. "That's beside the point. The fact remains that you have to take responsibility for what you did to me, you forced me into sleeping with you! "

Hearing his persistence, Krystie was not sure whether she was supposed to cry or laugh, where the hell in the world does a man claim to have been raped! By a drunk lady who was half his size.

Krystie felt a surge of indignation rises within her. She couldn't believe the audacity of this man, the sheer nerve it took to come to her doorstep, invite himself into her house, take a seat, and demand compensation from her.

"Look here, I appreciate that you saved me from the gang and also from Alex, but thinking that you would use that to make me compensate you, then you are dreaming. You should wake up from your dreams because I am not giving you a dime!" Krystie declared, her voice trembling with anger. "We are even! You also took the first night that I had preserved for my future husband, so stop acting the victim here. By your physical appearance, you look so respectable to stoop this low! "

Lucian's expression hardened at her words, his eyes narrowing into slits as his nose flared in anger. "If that's your final answer, then I have no choice but to take legal action against you!" Lucian spoke as he took three steps towards the door.

Krystie scoffed at his ultimatum. "Go ahead and try," she shot back defiantly. "I'll see you in court, you should wait to hear from my lawyer," she refused to back down. She knew very well she had done nothing wrong, and she wouldn't let Lucian intimidate her into submission.

"I am very sure you didn't read the card that I gave you, take a look at it then it will be upon you whether you want to meet me in court or not," Lucian turned around and handed her a small note.

"In case you change your mind meet me at that place," Lucian pointed at the small note that he had given her before he turned around left with a confident smile leaving Krystie in a daze.

Lucian's threats echoed in Krystie's ears. She ran to her room to pick up her handbag. She had just remembered that he had handed her a card earlier on after he had saved her from Alex, and sure enough, she had not read it at all. But despite the fear and uncertainty that lingered in the air, and her heart pounding with fear, she went ahead to check the card.

Lucian Wilson

Lawyer

D&LW law firm.

Krystie's heart skipped a beat.

There is no way in this world that that guy is a lawyer! Thinking that she had just agreed to meet with him in court made her feel so stupid.

D&LW was the country's most famous law firm, known for its winning reputation. It was always said that whether you are guilty or not, as long as you get a lawyer from the firm, then there is a guarantee that you will win the case.

Krystie's heart sank with desperation, she knew she had no way out of all this, she could only give in to Lucian's demands, and compensate him as he claimed because there would be no lawyer in this world who would want to be her lawyer once they hear that they would be adversarial against Lucian.
