Benefits of Being Leader

Chapter Ten: Benefits of Being Leader

Zaner looked around him in awe, "Ahhh..Literally, the security here is really solid, solid? I wonder what would happen if it was liquid or gas, liquid means the molecules will be loosely bonded, the collision betwe... stop it!! "

Fusion recipes—these were exceedingly precious. Using ordinary bamboo paper to record them was far too risky; if they were stolen, not only could outsiders refine the Ren Clan's specialty Gu worms, but it would also constitute a massive leak of the clan's most guarded secrets.

The implications of such a breach were profound. The Ren Clan's unique techniques, honed over generations, would be exposed for all to see and exploit.

As Fang Yuan once said, "Know thy enemy, and you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." Experienced Gu Masters can glean the strengths and weaknesses of a Gu worm merely by studying its refinement recipe.

An adept Gu Master, upon examining a recipe, can deduce not only the capabilities of the Gu worm but also its vulnerabilities and the best strategies to counter it. This strategic insight can turn the tide of any confrontation.

If such recipes were leaked, the loss to the clan would be severe and irreversible. In future engagements, the clan's Gu Masters might find themselves at a significant disadvantage, their enemies exploiting intimate knowledge of their Gu worms.

The adversaries could develop precise tactics to neutralize the clan's Gu worms, rendering them less effective or even useless on the battlefield. The morale of our Gu Masters would falter in the face of such overwhelming odds.

Therefore, these recipes were strictly controlled and, classified according to their ranks, stored meticulously. o prevent such catastrophic outcomes, the clan imposes rigorous regulations on the handling and dissemination of these recipes.

Each one is secured to limit access exclusively to those with the necessary authority and trustworthiness.

Digital Shade Gu were relatively easier to refine and had a low cost; thus, they became the common method for containing and safeguarding recipes. Unlike traditional recording methods, the Digital Shade Gu offer a secure and compact means of storing vast amounts of information.

Their low cost and ease of refinement make them ideal for this purpose, ensuring that even if physical documents are compromised, the knowledge remains encrypted and protected within these Gu.

These Digital Shade Gu all belonged to the Secret Hall clan elder. However, that wouldn't impede him from using my primeval essence to browse through them.

"Given my current identity and authority, I can even access the Rank Four and Rank Five recipes. As the clan leader and the strongest among us, I hold unrestricted access."

His position permits him to delve into the deepest secrets of the clan, even those guarded jealously by the Secret Hall elders.

Furthermore, there are two more critical matters—the secret room is considered the clan's red zone; my every action here is meticulously observed in secrecy. This chamber is the most secure location within the entire clan domain.

Hidden eyes and sophisticated safeguards monitor every movement, ensuring that no unauthorized activity goes unnoticed. The weight of generations watches over me as I stand here, a silent reminder of the responsibility I bear, but I don't give a damn, Fuck Them!!.

Every day, one can only stay here for fifteen minutes. Once the time is up, he or she must leave immediately. However, that rule doesn't apply to him.

For most, time within these hallowed walls is strictly limited—a mere fifteen minutes to absorb what knowledge they can before the doors close to them once more. But as clan leader, such restrictions are lifted in his case.

"I can linger as long as I deem necessary, unbound by the usual constraints, free to explore the vast reservoir of wisdom accumulated over the centuries.., the benefits of being a clan leader can't simply be ignored.. ", he looked at all this wealth and knowledge that was calling for him.

"Sigh... but this time I ain't here for that," Zaner muttered under his breath. The allure of Gu recipes or any other trivial matters didn't concern him today. He was here solely to gather crucial information—nothing else. He couldn't proceed with any of his plans before acquiring it.

"I will return; wait for me..." he whispered, as if making a silent promise. He cast a final, lingering glance at all those meticulously compiled Gu recipes, the extensive research information, and the precious Gu worms. With a reluctant sigh, he turned and left.

"Yeah, this must be the way," he thought, as he slowly made his way toward the previous secret room in that dark cave. It wasn't that he had an abundance of time; in fact, he was severely pressed for time, but he reminded himself that a bit of haste results in shit waste.

After a short journey, he arrived before the room he had been searching for. "Okay, let's go," he whispered to himself, steeling his resolve.

Zaner walked into the secret room with a calm demeanor, exuding an air of confidence and purpose.

Inside the secret room, a profound silence enveloped him. The echoes of his footsteps resonated softly, bouncing off the walls and creating a gentle rhythm in the stillness. The surrounding walls were embedded with Water Light Gu.

Their ethereal bodies emitted a soft, luminescent glow that wavered like reflections on rippling water. The light interchanged between brightness and shadow, with layers upon layers shining indefinitely. The ambiance was otherworldly, casting an enchanting aura throughout the chamber.

"Okay, let's see, let's see," he murmured, beginning to search for the information he needed. "Nah, I think I shall go in order. First, let's look at this," he muttered to himself, deciding to approach the task methodically.

"But how the heck shall I pump the primeval essence in it,"

Zaner carefully selected a red-black colored Gu worm and tried to inject the primeval essence into it.

After some time, he realized that he was being nervous for no reason, it was actually easy as breathing.

Injecting primeval essence into the gu was actually like blowing up some air into the whistle. The whistle will play until the air keeps coming, the more air is blown, the sharper and louder pitch it produces with greater amplitude and frequency.

But we can't blow the air continuously, at some point we need to rest for recovering our breathe.

His light golden primeval essence was injected into it. Immediately, two beams of light shot out from the Digital Shade Gu's compound eyes.

He raised the Gu, directing the eyes at the white jade plate on the table before him.

The two beams of light struck the white jade plate, and after some fluctuations, words began to appear, materializing gradually on the smooth surface.

This was the first time he was using an actual gu with his own primeval essence, and the experience was nothing like painful but quite wonderful.
