Chapter 49: Family
"How are you feeling, Sera?" Alexander opened up, matching her gaze. He could sense that although the sap did wake her up, it didn't completely erase the essence of the curse from her body.
She still felt weak and feeble in his senses, quite a far cry from her previous self.
"I'm feeling a lot better, Dear." She replied, a gentle smile gracing her face. She was feeling quite overwhelmed, opening her eyes after a long nearly six years of slumber.
Her eyes were still hazy as she gazed at Cassian's and Amelia's faces, their baby faces reflecting vividly across her vision.
'Ah, How much they've grown…'
She felt nostalgic and sad at the same time. Missing out the childhood of her children left a very bad taste from the bottom of her heart. 'I'm sorry, my dear children.'
She gently brushed through Amelia's hair with a self-deprecating smile appearing on her face.
