Chapter 19: A Forbidden Moment
The night air was cool against Conner's skin as he stepped out of the Crooked Tankard. He knew he should stay and wait for Rogue, but something pulled him toward Raven's shop. A longing he could no longer ignore. His mind had been clouded with thoughts of her ever since they sat at the bar. The way she moved, the way her eyes flickered with unspoken emotions—it was intoxicating.
Before he realized it, he was standing in front of her door, his knuckles rapping against the wood.
A moment later, the door creaked open, and Raven stood there, her dark eyes widening in surprise. "Conner?"
He offered a small smirk. "I was bored at the bar alone. Thought I'd check in on what you found."
Raven studied him for a moment before stepping aside. "Come in, then."
He entered, the familiar scent of dried herbs and aged parchment wrapping around him. The candles cast a golden glow over the cluttered workspace, where open books and vials of ingredients littered the wooden surfaces. Raven turned back to her desk, flipping through the pages of an old tome.
"I was just looking over some spells," she said. "There are a few that might help us, but they require specific ingredients."
Conner moved closer, watching her as she ran her fingers over the text. Her voice was steady, but there was something else beneath it—something softer, more uncertain. He listened, but his focus wasn't on the words. It was on her. The way her lips parted slightly as she read, the way the candlelight danced over her skin.
Raven glanced up, meeting his gaze, and the air between them shifted.
Conner couldn't hold back anymore. His hand came up, cupping her face as he closed the space between them. His lips met hers, slow at first, testing, waiting. She stiffened in surprise, but only for a heartbeat before she melted into him, her hands gripping his arms as she kissed him back.
A hunger ignited between them, a desire neither had dared to acknowledge before. Conner pulled her closer, his fingers tracing the curve of her back, feeling the warmth of her body against his. Raven's hands slid up, unfastening the buttons of his shirt, her touch sending fire through his veins.
Their breaths mingled, their bodies pressing together as the kiss deepened. Conner swept an arm across the desk, sending books and vials clattering to the floor, clearing the space. He lifted her onto the wooden surface, his hands gripping her waist as she wrapped her legs around him.
Raven could feel Conners manhood growing and felt her want if him even more.
He pulled back for a moment, searching her face. "Do you want this?" he asked, his voice rough with need.
Raven's lips curved into a small, knowing smile. "Yes."
She pulled him back to her, their mouths colliding once more.
Time blurred as they lost themselves in each other, in the heat and urgency of a moment that had been building for far too long.
Conner takes her black lace panties off, with a smile he goes to kiss Raven and says you are beautiful before opening her legs to kiss her blossom, Raven moans in pleasure from the kids, he then opens her blossom to reveal its nectar, Conner starts to slowly lick the inside of her blossom till she moans loudly, Conner looks at the pleasure on Ravens face, Raven looks at Conner and says I want you in me.
Conner stands up, and Raven leans forward to undo Conners belt as his pants drop his manhood stands erect for Raven, he enters her slowly she pulls him close they kiss as he thrusts in and out of her, she whispers I need you Conne make love to me like never before.
Conner moans at her words you feel so good it feels so good to be in you. I missed you Raven I missed you to.
They kiss and Conner thrust with passion till they climaxed together.
Afterward, they remained entangled, the room silent except for the slowing rhythm of their breaths. Raven rested her head against his chest, and Conner held her close, his fingers trailing lazily along her back.
For the first time in a long while, he felt at peace.
But reality soon crept back in. The mission, the danger, the choices that lay ahead.
Raven was the first to stir. She sighed, pressing a kiss to his shoulder before sitting up. "We should get back."
Conner nodded, though he wasn't ready to let go just yet. "Yeah."
She dressed, smoothing down her skirts, while he reached for his shirt, fastening the buttons with a smirk. "I think we may have gotten a little distracted."
Raven chuckled, shaking her head. "Just a little."
As they stepped back into the night, Conner reached for her hand, squeezing it once before letting go. Whatever this was between them, it wasn't something they could afford to dwell on right now.
But later?
Later, he would make sure they had time.
