Master Kongjian bowed to the old monk in the middle and said, "Abbot - senior - brother." Then he introduced Chu Tian and the others to him. Next, he introduced Abbot Kongwu and the abbot Kongwen beside him to Chu Tian. The laypeople on the other meditation mats were addressed as "benefactors." The five laypeople obviously didn't have a good impression of Chu Tian. They thought Chu Tian had some special relationship with Master Kongjian to be able to enter here. Although they had also donated a lot of incense money to be able to see the abbot, they still looked down on Chu Tian. So they just nodded slightly to Chu Tian out of politeness. However, they took a few more glances at Lin Yuting and Zhao Yuqing.

When Abbot Kongwu saw Chu Tian, he was also slightly shocked. The otherworldly aura emanating from this young man was not something an ordinary person could possess. So he slightly opened his mouth and asked Chu Tian, "Where does the benefactor come from?"

Lin Yuting and Zhao Yuqing felt a bit disdainful in their hearts. Such a cliché question. Everyone could answer it. Didn't they often say on TV, "I come from where I should come from and go to where I should go"?

But Chu Tian knew that Abbot Kongwu's words were full of hidden meanings. So he answered carefully, "I come from the horizon."

Abbot Kongwu then asked another riddle - like question, "Does the sun rise from the horizon?"

Chu Tian smiled slightly and replied without showing weakness, "If the sun shines everywhere, how could the world be empty?"

At this moment, both Master Kongjian and Abbot Kongwen were secretly surprised. This young man's words were sharp and extraordinary.

Seeing that Chu Tian's answers were remarkable, Abbot Kongwu asked again, "What's your name?"

Chu Tian replied respectfully, "Chu Tian."

Abbot Kongwu then asked, "How big is the sky?"

Chu Tian answered without hesitation, "A heart without cares."

Abbot Kongwu smiled and nodded. Although the laypeople, Lin Yuting, and Zhao Yuqing didn't quite understand, seeing the abbot showing approval, they began to look at Chu Tian in a new light. This young man seemed to have some real ability.

When Chu Tian bowed and was about to leave, after taking only three steps, Abbot Kongwu suddenly said, "You've dropped something on the ground!"

Everyone quickly looked up, but saw nothing on the ground. Chu Tian didn't even look. He just walked straight back to his seat and sat down.

Abbot Kongwu nodded again and smiled, saying, "What a 'heart without cares'! Benefactor Chu truly has a spiritual root. You're a rare genius in a hundred years. Junior - brother Kongjian, you really have a good eye."

Master Kongjian also didn't expect Chu Tian to be so outstanding. A bit more smile appeared on his face.

Zhao Yuqing was a smart person. After careful thought, she broke out in a cold sweat, understanding the Zen riddle of Abbot Kongwu. If Chu Tian had even looked down just now, Abbot Kongwu could have easily refuted Chu Tian's "heart without cares" and thus overthrown all of Chu Tian's Zen answers. But Chu Tian didn't even move his eyes, demonstrating with his actions the Zen meaning of "a heart without cares, and the sky is as big as one's heart."

Zhao Yuqing once again felt the shallowness of her study of Buddhism. She decided not to claim that she had studied Buddhism anymore, or else she would be laughed at. Looking at the calm Chu Tian beside her, Zhao Yuqing finally understood why Lin Yuting was so infatuated with him. The indifferent aura around this young man always gave people a sense of calm, as if everything was under his control.

Lin Yuting, holding Zhao Yuqing's hand, was a bit puzzled as to why her palm suddenly started sweating.

Those laypeople saw that this young man had outshone everyone in front of the abbot. Although they admired him to some extent, they were also a bit unconvinced. They thought this young man was just lucky and managed to answer randomly and get it right.

At this moment, a middle - aged monk rushed in to report, "Yoshikiyo Yamamoto from Japan wishes to see the abbot."

Abbot Kongwu said calmly, "Show him in."

Everyone suddenly fell silent. The wind on the mountain gradually picked up, bringing the news of winter. Everyone felt a bit cold.
