Minato Namikaze gazed at Uchiha Obito's young yet twisted face.

"Don't move… or I might accidentally snap someone's neck."

Standing near Kushina's bedside, a half-white, half-black figure emerged—Black Zetsu.

And in his hands—

A newborn baby.

Naruto Uzumaki.

A hostage.

Uchiha Shisui hesitated for a moment.

Even Kakashi stood frozen in place, uncertain whether to move forward or hold back.

If anything happened to Naruto Uzumaki, Kushina would never forgive them.

"That's more like it!"

Black Zetsu spoke with satisfaction, clearly enjoying his control over the situation.

Kushina, pale and weak, still forced herself to speak.

"Who are you? What do you want?"

"Ah, don't say it like that! Obviously, I came here to do something bad. So, Nine-Tails' Jinchūriki, don't try anything funny! If my hand slips… well, this newborn baby might not make it."

At this moment, Black Zetsu was the textbook definition of a villain who talked too much.

The chains binding the Nine-Tails began to dissolve.

One by one, the sealing spikes were removed.

At the same time, the Anbu ninjas, who had been restrained by White Zetsu's spores, finally broke free.

"It's too late!"

Shisui quickly handed Naruto to Kakashi.

"The Nine-Tails is about to emerge! Get everyone out of here—take the baby and run! Find a safe place!"

Kakashi stared at the sleeping infant in his arms, then looked at Shisui.

"What about you?!"

Shisui glanced at Kushina, who was slipping into unconsciousness.

"I'm going to save her. I have to at least try."
