The ship's logbook provided many convenient functions.
But beyond the logbook, this world was almost identical to reality.
For instance, chopping trees was a laborious task, but it also required technique, especially since the stone axe wasn't very sharp and was jarring to the hands.
After chopping down the largest coconut tree, Lucas felt his stamina drop by 13 points, leaving him with only 30 points left.
At full stamina, he could chop five or six trees at most.
Anything more would put him at risk of fainting if his stamina dipped below 30.
Once the tree fell, Lucas immediately went to collect the coconuts. When he picked one up, a smile appeared on his face.

Without hesitation, Lucas cracked open the coconut and drank deeply, receiving a stamina recovery buff.
This was exactly what he had been needing—this trip had truly been worth it.
He opened the bronze chest, and immediately, a few glowing orbs fell out. After touching them, they transformed into three items.

One chest provided not only the recipe but also the required materials.
Lucas was overjoyed and immediately used the recipe. He then began crafting the Vital Coconut Juice.
Required materials:
Vital Coconut*1, Sea Salt 10g
Required Tool: Reagent Stand
He created a bottle.

Lucas smiled and turned toward the coastline, where the trees were loaded with coconuts.
He swung his axe, and the rhythm of the work seemed to blur.
Once his stamina was nearly depleted, he decided to rest on the beach until it was restored, then continue chopping more trees.
By dusk, Lucas had chopped down four trees, collecting 38 Vital Coconuts and 43 units of wood. He returned to Nightmare to rest for the night and decided to return to the island the next day to harvest more.
Before heading back, however, he made a new discovery.
On the beach, there was a glowing trail, about a hundred meters away.
As night fell, the trail emitted a faint glow, which was how Lucas noticed it.
The trail led inland, and the glowing substance was some kind of animal slime, emitting a foul odor.
He followed the trail a few steps into the island's interior.
The path was clearer here, undisturbed by waves, and from its shape, it appeared to be a snake-like creature's trail.
Lucas measured with his hand and estimated the snake to be at least half a meter wide—quite large!
"Good thing I didn't use the gun," Lucas thought to himself.
He changed his mind, deciding not to stay on the beach overnight. Instead, he would anchor further out. There was something large on this island, and he wasn't about to take unnecessary risks.
With his flintlock tightly gripped, Lucas stayed alert as he backed away.
Returning to Nightmare, he sighed in relief.
Sitting in the captain's quarters, Lucas mulled things over. He still wanted to collect more Vital Coconuts, even if there were risks involved.
These coconuts were rare and irreplaceable—they could help eliminate Nightmare's flaws, and he couldn't afford to miss the chance.
The next island might not have any.
He navigated Nightmare further from the island, anchoring about 20 nautical miles away. At this distance, the island was out of sight.
Even if the unknown creatures could swim, they would hardly swim so far to hunt him down. Why not fish in the sea?
He drank a bottle of Vital Coconut Juice, ate some scallops, an eye fruit, and half a red-lipped eel.
Before sleeping, Lucas held his flintlock loosely by his bedside, keeping his finger away from the trigger.
This was his new trick—he could quickly raise the gun and fire at any monsters outside the door.
He soon fell asleep and began dreaming.
In the middle of the night, a beautiful woman's song reached his ears—soft and ethereal, like the voice of an angel.
But this was the sea—where could a woman be singing?
Half-dazed, Lucas sat up, his mind hazy, completely drawn to the song. His face reflected the growing obsession, and he stared at the door of the captain's quarters.
There, stood a humanoid creature, half-human, half-fish, resembling the legendary mermaid. She had golden hair that flowed beautifully, and her figure was temptingly graceful.
She was soaking wet, as if she had just bathed, with large seashells covering her chest.
Her waist was slender, and below her navel, fine scales began to appear, while her lower body was a fish tail.
Such a creature was typically called a mermaid.
But in the sea, she was known by another name—a siren, a nightmare for sailors of the past...
The siren sang, smiling at Lucas, flirting with her enchanting charm.
The trap by the door rang, but Lucas was already beyond control.
The trap had become useless.
With a dazed look on his face, he walked toward the siren, still clutching his flintlock...
[Passive: Bewitched by the song, you lose control of your body. Your rationality decreases by 10.]
[You see a beautiful woman and fall completely under her spell. Your rationality decreases by 7.]
About fifty nautical miles away, a ship floated—the Astrology ship, which had been tailing them.
Captain Seraphina sat in her quarters, writing in a small booklet.
"He can casually eat strange food and even kiss an eel (eat the red-lipped eel) without hesitation.
More incredibly, he shows no signs of madness!"
This booklet, titled XX Observation Diary, contained detailed notes on Lucas's private activities, including his sleep schedule, wake-up time, fishing catches, and meals.
Seraphina hadn't written his real name yet, as she still didn't know it.
But she was clearly obsessed, tracking his every move.
"Isn't he afraid?" she thought, chewing on her pen cap.
The information about the island had come from her, as she wanted to see how Lucas would react.
But just then, the map showed Nightmare moving, heading full speed toward the island.
Something was off!
Seraphina quickly used her divination skill to follow Nightmare.
"He... is that a siren?"
She exclaimed in surprise, her eyes gleaming with a mix of fanaticism and excitement.
