Sudden Outbreak

These two sections didn't have much content. Even though the editor had enlarged the font, it still couldn't hide the fact that the content was sparse.

The "Sea Storm Chronicle" recorded some intelligence, insights, and introduced a few fleets, some publicly listed island coordinates, as well as speculations on the internal environment of the Extreme Winter Sea and so on.

As for the truth of the information, it's up to the reader's own judgment.

But one thing was certain: the publicly listed island coordinates were of little value. Either the trees had already been cut down or you would have to risk your life just to step foot on the island.

Lucas Hall then saw a familiar name—Zhou Dai. She was recruiting teammates to take on a dangerous island. It had been confirmed that there was a very powerful werewolf on the island. She was recruiting people to join her in tackling it. Those who passed the selection process would be given the specific coordinates of the island.

"Werewolf..." Lucas Hall rubbed his chin.

In his memory, werewolves were very terrifying creatures, not only fast and with sharp senses but also their claws and fangs could easily tear through a human body.

In the face of such a creature, the more teammates, the better. That way, when it's time to escape, you only need to outrun your teammates.

Lucas chuckled and skipped over the rest. He didn't think that ordinary people could handle a werewolf, unless they had a large-caliber machine gun and could hit their target.

He scrolled down and saw a valuable insight from the captain of the Fisherman ship, whose name was anonymous. But Lucas knew him as a friend; his full name was He Qi, a seasoned fisherman.

[About Night Fishing]

"First, let me clarify that I do not recommend any players try night fishing. The reason I'm writing this report is to warn everyone!"

"Night fishing makes it easy to catch bizarre creatures. I once caught a small fishman and a drowned corpse. The latter nearly cost me my life!"

"The fish you catch have a 30% chance of being abyssal species, like sardines with four legs, eels with human lips, and even octopuses with human heads. For the sake of your sanity, I won't include pictures, but trust me, it's disgusting!"

"Catching these weird fish will deduct your sanity, and eating them will also do the same. In my opinion, they are of no value!"

"If, after reading all this, you still want to try night fishing, I suggest you prepare thoroughly before heading out. Because risk and opportunity go hand in hand, I actually caught a rare fishing rod, but after waking up, I still felt a chill down my spine! At that time... I might have gone mad from fishing..."

"All in all, night fishing is dangerous, don't try it easily. I don't plan on trying it again anytime soon."

"He Qi truly deserves the title of a fisherman, managing to do what I dare not!" Lucas Hall thought with a sigh.

However, the abyssal fish species He Qi caught were all familiar to Lucas. He had seen them before, and at this point, he could even eat them without losing sanity—except for those with special effects.

"Night fishing... It's better not to try unless absolutely necessary," Lucas made his decision.

The "Nightmare Star" ship was cursed by the Fisherman's Curse. If he went fishing at night again, he might pull up a giant Bobbit worm and be submerged by the water before he knew it!

Lucas moved on to monster information. It highlighted several common sea monsters, including their weaknesses. Lucas had encountered most of them.

The Drowned Ones were fat, clumsy, and had a weak point, but they self-destruct, which made them dangerous.

The Siren posed a great threat to men. Once their song was heard, the best bet was to plug your ears within two seconds or risk being enchanted. They generally hunted at night, so earplugs were recommended during sleep.

"Siren's song can be blocked with earplugs, but if it's a Drowned One, then you're dead in seconds..." Lucas shook his head, not agreeing with that strategy.

The Skeleton Monsters were average in all areas. Crushing their skulls killed them, and blunt weapons were recommended.

The Small Fishmen were not very large and rarely traveled alone. They usually appeared in groups.

The Giant Bobbit Worm was huge, had no eyesight, and had sharp mandibles. It could be killed with a cannon (thanks to the Steel Hearts ship captain for the intel).

...

There were certainly more monsters out there, especially the stronger ones, as survivors were few and information was hard to come by.

Lucas Hall scanned through the list and found no information on the Devil Shark. He then contacted the big news agency.

"I have monster intel to provide. How much do you usually pay?"

The news agency: "200 Sea Conch Coins or more. The more detailed, the more you get. There's no upper limit. You must provide relevant loot or corpse evidence."

That was no problem—Lucas had the organs of a Devil Shark in the lab.

"The Devil Shark can be fished up. It's a pack animal with very large eyeballs. Underwater, they look like red lanterns. They have two back legs and can jump very high. Their weak point is the eyeballs, but they lack climbing ability..."

Lucas sent the Devil Shark intel to the agency. Half an hour later, he received a payment of 800 Sea Conch Coins.

Someone had likely encountered the shark before, but very few lived to tell the tale.

The next day, before dawn.

Suddenly, Lucas Hall sat up in bed, feeling an agonizing pain, as if thousands of ants were crawling all over his body.

He knew exactly what was happening and rushed to the ship's wheel. He steered the "Nightmare Star" towards the island at full speed.

After traveling for over ten nautical miles, the bone-chilling pain slowly eased.

Since the ship was moving so fast, Seraphina had been woken by the commotion. She stepped out of her room and saw Lucas standing at the wheel, unsteady, with veins bulging and his eyes bloodshot.

"What happened?" Seraphina asked.

"I..." Lucas started to speak, but immediately spat out a mouthful of blood, with spiders crawling inside. Then he collapsed into the bloodied puddle, unconscious.

...

Lucas had a nightmare. He dreamed that he was lying on a metal table, and Seraphina was wearing a bird-beaked mask from the medieval Black Death period. She walked toward him with a surgical knife.

"What... what are you doing?!" Lucas screamed in fear, trying to resist, but he couldn't move, as if paralyzed by a ghost.

"You're sick. I'm treating you!" Seraphina said calmly.

She used the surgical knife to slice open Lucas' skin, cut through blood vessels and muscles, searched inside for spiders, and then pulled them out. The scene was a bloody mess.

"You still have many inside. I'll take them all out for you!"

Seraphina continued cutting...

"No... no! You're going to kill me!" Lucas screamed in horror, watching as her red eyes grew increasingly dangerous.

With a jolt, Lucas woke up from the nightmare and saw a surgical knife hovering in front of his eyes. He hurriedly pushed it away.

"Awake now?" Seraphina, just like in the dream, was wearing the bird-beaked mask and safety goggles, performing "surgery" on him.

"What are you doing?!"

Lucas, still shaken from the nightmare, was emotionally unstable. His body curled up, showing signs of aggression.

"Calm down. I'm saving you!" Seraphina said, pointing to the metal table where a jar was filled with dead little spiders, nearly full, and covered in blood.

"If these foreign objects aren't removed, there will be major problems!" Seraphina continued.

Lucas slowly realized the situation and started to calm down. He checked his condition—his vitality was below 50, and his sanity was at 37. His left eyelid appeared to have been slashed, and blood was seeping into his eye, staining most of his vision.

He reached up and felt his eyelid, and two little spiders fell out...

"Sorry, I just had a nightmare," Lucas apologized, fully awake now.

"Glad to see you're awake!" Seraphina smiled, unbothered, though her left hand, hidden behind her back, gripped a witch's dagger, and her fingers were trembling with excitement.
