Charter: Dwarf Settlement

" Let a tear release the soul into the sky

And a golden dragon from the ashes shall rise."

Francie and Stan gathered a huge pile of stones and with full respect for the dwarf Versavius, they built a makeshift stone grave and placed it right in the gazebo where the accident had occurred.

Stan silently laid the sick Dolan on his shoulders where red blisters were growing on the boy's arms with each passing minute, the boy's body had never felt such searing, unbearable pain and he could not lie still on Stan's back, he had to make painful moans from time to time, accompanied by profuse perspiration.

Francie was very worried about her best friend, she didn't want to lose the joy and sunny laughter that brought her a real relaxed peace of mind, she touched his body every minute to take his temperature, but it only got worse.

After the mines, the boys followed the straight path of destruction caused by the collapses in the mountains, but there were no gates to the dwarven settlement ahead of them, except for the piles of stones.

Francie looked at her friend in silence, realizing that they might not be able to save Dolan, all sorts of scenarios running through her mind.

She didn't want to despair, but her fear was so strong that her fingertips were shaking from not understanding why everything was happening so fast? Why hadn't Dolan shown his irritation before?

Every second she thought about what she would say to his parents if he was really gone, her heart sank, she stopped halfway and fell to her knees, crying at her helplessness.

Stan stopped, he didn't know Dolan as well as Francie did but he knew what it was like, he walked over to Francie and just patted her right shoulder, she really needed to cry, the atmosphere was sad until Stan said:

-He's a brave boy, we'll think of something.

Francie suddenly stood up and looked at Dolan with tears in her eyes and laughed: -Ha-ha-ha! You're right...

-Why are you laughing all of a sudden? -Stan asked in surprise.

-I've just remembered something, I'll tell you about it as we continue our search for the entrance to the dwarf tribe. -Francie wiped away her tears and walked slowly along the rock.

ONE YEAR AGO: Francie

At Philadelphia High School I always stood out, but this manifested itself in puberty, I almost always disliked talking to girls about their new boyfriends and what color manicure they were going to get next, yes as a child I played with dolls and loved to dress up in dresses, but that's because that's how my parents dressed me and they liked it, but as I got older the questions came up: Why do I have to dress the way other people want me to dress? Why do clothes have to be for girls? Why is pink the color for girls?

That's why I was always alone at school, the girls in my class didn't seem to like that I had my own opinions and didn't want to conform to them, but I was born so uncomfortable that in time I became my own boyfriend, got my nose pierced and started wearing men's clothes while watching my appearance.

Probably because of my scary aura, everyone was afraid to approach me, even boys avoided me thinking "Just so she doesn't talk to me" and I also started calling myself by a man's name, it's really easier for me. I first met Dolan when I had a problem with a vending machine.

-Damn machine! You're giving me my crisps!

It was in the early days when I had a nose piercing, probably because of the burning, and I was trying my best to break the technology, it wouldn't give me my snack, and it was prawn flavored, by the way! I was so angry I wanted to throw my chair against the glass and break it.

-Wait! -You're only a dime short. Why break the vending machine?

Suddenly, Dolan came to the vending machine and looked at the counter, indicating that there wasn't enough money in the vending machine.

Out of anger, I didn't think to look properly to see if there was more money there, in all this time no one had come up to me and said anything. Teenage students I didn't know just walked by and laughed, even my classmates in my subjects didn't bother to tell me, but this yellow-haired boy shorter than me just walked up without a sneer and even put his ten cents in there.

After picking up the chips that had fallen off the shelf and personally handed them to me:

-Thank you! You're the only one who said that.

-Don't worry, I understand how you feel, be more careful next time.
