Chapter 98 - Percy

Percy

Jay-jay's POV

There are many pictures but I only see one face. Percy's face.

"Excuse me? I hid all his pictures." Felix's mom said.

"It's okay..."

"Mom.. I'm here. Rest now." Felix said to his mother.

She smiled and nodded. She went to a different room. We are currently at Felix's house. They want to know if we are talking about the same Percy, that I met..

When we got here, Felix's mom took out all their pictures. I was suddenly embarrassed.

Felix said that since Percy died, their parents' relationship was no longer good. He said it just ended in a divorce. They worked hard for Felix, so he means a lot to him if he gets a scholarship for college. He said his mother's problem would be reduced.

I saw a girl at their door. She peeked and looked at us. Her eyes are also blue.

"Felix, who is that?" I asked.

He looked at her. "Ah, Dalia... Percy and her are siblings."

She seems to have inherited Percy's eyes.

"This is Percy's Dad." He said as he lowered the picture in front of me.

His father is a foreigner. He is not my father either. That means, he is not my Big Brother. But why is he using Mariano and how he knows about my brother.

"...This is his last picture before the accident happened." Felix added and lowered the picture again.

He is very different from Percy's current appearance. He is a bit thin in the picture shown by Felix.

"That's the Percy, I met." I said.

"So, he is alive." Keifer said while sitting next to me.

He seemed annoyed by what I said. I can't blame him. They were friends but they were not informed that he was alive.

"I just don't understand... Why did he introduce himself to you by using Mariano as the last name? His last name is Collins." Yuri said.

I shook my head. Because even I, I don't understand either. We heard a car horn outside. Felix looked to see who it was.

"There they are." He said and opened the door wide.

Edrix and Rory entered. They brought a laptop and put it down in front of me.

"All the CCTV videos you see, he's just the flesh." Edrix said.

Keifer pressed play button. Near the fountain, the first video was shown. A man in a hat and polo shirt is walking around in the video.

"That's him." Edrix said.

He was walking around the fountain and from the view they got, they could see me running closer to the fountain.

He seemed to greet me but suddenly he walked away. He stopped in front of a store and fiddled with his phone. Maybe that was the time he texted me.

He walked away again and went straight to a bench and sat down. His place is near the entrance of Quantum Garden.

Shit!

I was about to meet him.

From his place, I was caught for a moment as I ran and approached the entrance of the Garden.

He took his cell phone and pretended to call someone. It looks like, he called me at that time. There is a time when he glances at my place. I also saw Keifer and the others in the video. They hide in a corner.

He put down the phone and was obviously not happy. Being so annoyed, he suddenly threw the phone in the trash and walked away. I even saw myself running somewhere. I also saw Keifer following me. Until our classmates approached us one after the other.

The video changed view and showed the people looking at us. He was there, curious about them.

What confirmed to me that he was the one wearing the hat and polo shirt was the fact that he faced the CCTV camera before leaving.

"We found this in the trash." Rory said and handed Keifer the phone in his pocket.

This is the phone that Percy used to talk to me. But if he has thrown it away, how can I call or text him again?

"This makes no sense." Keifer said. "... if he is back, Why is he talking to Jay-jay? He doesn't even know her. Even before that, Aries didn't mention anything about her!"

That's also what I don't understand. Why was he talking to me or why was I the first one, whom he approached?

"Unless..." Yuri said and looked at me. "...Unless he's up to something."

Keifer and Felix also looked at me. Even Rory and Edrix. I don't understand what they are doing.

"W-what?"

"He can use you to get revenge on Aries." Yuri clarified.

H-how?

Why would he do that? I just combed my hair with my hand. The tears I was holding back started to fall again.

Keifer suddenly took my phone. I tried to take it back but he gave me a bad look.

"It is my phone!"

"I know! I just need to see something!" He answered me annoyed.

I don't know what he was looking at but he handed my phone to Edrix.

"We're not sure about Percy's plans... But Jay, you have to follow what we say." Yuri said.

I looked at them all.

"You need to tell us everything about your conversation with Percy. When did you first see him, and if you notice anything." Said Keifer. "...You also need to tell us if he contacts you again."

"You also have to tell us if you meet again like before." Yuri added.

But if I do that, maybe he won't show me again. I want to ask him a lot of questions. I'm tired of thinking about situation again and again.

But I have to follow what they say. What if they are right? What if he just wants to retaliate for what Aries did to him? And I'm the one he wants to use to revenge Aries.

I answered them with a modest nod. We talked for a while about what we should do.

I couldn't help but looked at Dalia. Because she is constantly looking at me. She really caught Percy's eyes. I approached her without noticing Keifer.

"Hi..." I greeted her.

She didn't answer. I just looked at her. Felix glanced at us for a moment, who was still talking.

"Brother said don't trust them." She whispered to me.

Ha?

"D-did Felix say this?" I asked her.

Why would Felix say such a thing to her?

Dalia shook her head quickly and came closer to me.

"Felix not.. but my Big Brother." She whispered again.

What?!

Percy!

Did he already meet his sister?

"S-Percy? W-when did you see him?" I asked her in a whisper.

She didn't speak. She looked at Felix again and suddenly ran away. I was forced to follow her without telling Keifer.

We reached the Dirty Kitchen of the house. It's in the back and next to the laundry room. I looked around to look for Dalia but a hand hugged me from behind and covered my mouth.

I tried to fight but he immediately pulled me and forced me into the small bathroom. I leaned against the wall and he was still holding my mouth.

I just saw who he was.

"Ssshhh..." He said.

I quickly nodded, causing him to let me go and he immediately hugged me tightly.

"P-percy..."

"Oh fuck! I can't stand this of not seeing you." He whispered to me.

I was confused by what he was doing and saying. But I'll think about that later. I can face him now as I want. He let me go and I turned my face to him.

"Sorry, if I need to hide from them." He whispered.

"W-what's going on? W-why don't you show up to them?" I asked in a whisper.

We need to lower our voices. The bathroom was small and our voices echoed.

"You won't understand it yet. But I promise you, once everything is settled I'll talk to them too and explain everything."

I don't know which question I should ask first. The questions are mixed in my mind.

"P-percy... Is it true, s-Aries is----"

"It's a very long story, Jay. But don't ever think that I'm getting back at Aries. I'm not like that, I'm not like Keifer.

Not like Keifer?

"I'm confused... I have so many questions for you. When can we talk properly?" I almost cried.

He touched my cheek and looked at me carefully. 🥺

"I can't answer that but once I have a chance, I promise you I will tell and explain everything to you."

"W-what do you really need from me? Why are you meeting with me like this?"

"Because....."

A loud bang on the door stopped him talking. We both couldn't move and could barely hold our breath.

"Jay! Are you in there?!" Keifer's voice and he is obviously irritable.

I looked at Percy. He opened his mouth to speak. Even without a voice, what he said 'I have to go' was clear to me. He quickly kissed me on the forehead. 🩷

He went to the toilet and slowly opened the curtain on the ceiling. He went up and before closing the door again I looked at him and forced a smile.

After closing, I just opened the bathroom door.

Ah angry Keifer appeared.

"What are you doing here?!"

"I slept..." I tried to philosophize.

His eyebrows met even more.

"Shut up!"

"W-what people do in the bathroom? Of course pee." I answered him and made him walk away first.

He followed me even though I almost cursed him with his looks. We got back to the living room where the others were. I even saw Dalia and motioned to me quietly with her finger before running away.

I know what she means. I won't say anything to them.
