Chapter 8 - Polo

POLO

Jay-Jay's POV

Now I feel the shame of saying those words. Although I've always been embarrassed, this is different!

I'm going home with a polo shirt wrapped around my ass. Good thing they took pity on me. Ci-N lent me his polo shirt. I folded it in three to thicken it and wrapped it around my butt, using the sleeves as a tie.

Thank you, Ci-N, for the size of your polo shirt.

The skirt I'm wearing is too fitted around my butt and thighs. It's hard to walk because I feel like the wrap will come off if I make the wrong move.

Looking at the students whispering, I know they must be talking about me. I don't blame them—I look ridiculous.

As I was leaving school, someone blew a whistle. The person responsible for the most embarrassing moment of my life is about to get what's coming.

"Ci-N! Sexy, isn't she?" asked a classmate whose name I don't even remember.

"Yes… even with a shilling income, I have that sexiness," Ci-N replied.

Someone whistled again, and they all burst out laughing.

Animals! I stopped walking and glared at them.

"Don't be mad! It's a compliment!" Keifer said, smiling like an idiot.

"Fuck you! Compliment my ass!" I shouted at him.

I started walking again but suddenly stopped when I saw Aries looking at me. Shit! This just got worse! He's with his classmates… and Kiko!!!!

This is so embarrassing! This is the worst!

"Hey, Jay!" Kiko greeted me with a smile. But that smile quickly disappeared when he saw what was wrapped around me. "What's that for?"

"Ah… Well… Because—"

"She had an accident!" Ci-N yelled from behind, and they all laughed. Oh, come on! I'm going to kill someone. It's almost happening!

I felt my cheeks heat up. The others started laughing too.

Aries' classmates laughed because of what Ci-N said, but Aries himself wasn't amused. He wasn't even looking at me—he was staring at something behind me.

Kiko's expression suddenly turned serious. "Tell me, Jay, are these guys bullying you?"

I could feel the shift in the atmosphere. The people behind me suddenly became tense. Oh my! These guys might start a fight here!

"N-no… Because… What Ci-N said is true. It's just… a girl thing," I stammered, wishing the ground would open up and swallow me whole. This is beyond embarrassing!

"Are you sure?" Kiko asked. He smiled again, and I quickly nodded.

"Ah… Just tell me if they do anything bad to you. I'll take care of it," he said, sounding like he was ready to fight for me.

Oh my! Is this thrilling?! Thrilling because this is my crush! He even smiled again—like a toothpaste model!

Gosh! We're not even close yet!

"Tsk, looks like someone has a thing for her," Keifer teased, making Aries and Kiko's classmates react.

This bastard! He's really trying to stir up trouble!

"Of course I do… I took down David, so what about you?" Kiko shot back.

Come on! This guy is just asking for a fight! Okay… minus points for him.

I turned to Keifer and his group. There it is—that serious, heavy aura.

"David just let you win out of pity," Felix sneered.

Who is David? Who the hell is that?

"Really? It sure didn't seem that way," Kiko smirked annoyingly.

Okay… It's obvious where this is going! So, before it gets worse—

"Before you take it further, go home!" I told them.

Kiko looked at me and smiled. Ugh! Even if you leave, follow me!

"Good thing… I'm not in the mood for a fight right now," he said, smiling at me.

Good thing he listened. Hehe! Good boy!

"Tsk, coward," Keifer muttered before walking away in another direction.

"Good thing, Jay, come with me. I'll take you home," Kiko offered.

What the hell?! Mwuhehehe…

"No way… I'll take her," Ci-N said, smiling.

Right, he lent me his polo. I should return it tomorrow. But I'm also embarrassed to go with Kiko.

Is that Hanu?!

"S-sorry, Kiko… I'll return your polo tomorrow. I'll just go with him," I said hesitantly.

Huhuhuhuhu! I'm sorry!

"Uhmmm… But next time, you'll come with me, right?" he asked, smiling sweetly.

I nodded. Ci-N and I walked away, leaving Kiko behind. Once I was sure we were far enough, I immediately turned to him.

"Damn you! What were you saying?!"

"Aarrgghhh… It hurts, Jay!" he whined.

"You're really going to get hurt! You just humiliated me!"

I tightened my grip around his neck, making his gasp. I also hit him on the head.

"Jay! Massa Kit!"

"You idiot!"

I felt him struggling to breathe. I didn't actually plan to kill him, so I let go.

"W-what?! Were you really going to kill me?!" he asked, coughing.

"Yes! You embarrassed me because of this stupid polo!" I pointed at the polo wrapped around me.

I continued walking. No way am I wearing short skirts again—I even forgot the way home! I walked on the side of the road with Ci-N following me. I don't know if he's mad at me or what. Hi face was serious, and she kept looking around. Is he paranoid?

We finally arrived at my house. True enough, they were right—it's best to walk fast when you're embarrassed. Hehehe.

I stopped at the gate and faced Ci-N. She smiled at me.

Just smile… Smile!

"Wait here… I'll just change."

"No… I just wanted to make sure you got home safely."

"Where's your polo shirt?"

"Forget it… I have plenty at home."

Wenks!

"Even so… You still have to take it back!" I told him, not waiting for a reply. I immediately ran inside.

My aunt saw me, but I quickly ran to my room. I grabbed a pair of shorts and immediately removed Ci-N's polo.

Hey… There's almost nothing left of the back of my skirt! What a waste!

I put on the shorts and stretched Ci-N's shirt a bit before going back outside.

Before I even reached him, I noticed him smirking while looking in another direction. It seemed like someone was watching.

I followed his gaze, but there was nothing there. "What are you looking at?"

He just smiled. "Nothing. I'm leaving now."

He took his shirt and left in a hurry. What's the rush?!

"CI-N! THANK YOU!!" I shouted.

I don't know if he heard me. He didn't turn around or stop. Is that so?

I was about to enter the house when I noticed a group of men following Ci-N. A nervous feeling crept over me. He might get into trouble.

Ci-N's POV

"Do you think we'll forgive you for what you did to our comrades a while ago?" one of them said, cracking his knuckles.

I can do that too, especially with my toes. I smiled at them. "Not really."

Earlier, I had been waiting for them. I thought they would rush at me in front of Jay-jay's house. Good thing they hesitated. Embarrassing, considering the coincidence. My cuteness is a mess.

"Don't you dare smile!" one of them screamed.

There were seven of them surrounding me. Can I handle it? It's up to me.

I smiled even more because of what he said. No way I was stopping—I was excited.

"Let's see if you're still smiling when we're done with you."

"That's so funny... I'm the only one with all my teeth," I replied.

They laughed at what I said, but I knew their laughter had a different meaning.

"That woman with you... she's beautiful. After we deal with you, we'll go to her."

The smile disappeared from my face. I might have made a mistake bringing Jay-jay into this. This is dangerous. She's just a new classmate, and now I've dragged her into my mess. I have no choice but to make sure they don't do anything to her.

"Enough talking... What time do we start?" I asked, sounding bored.

Suddenly, one of them rushed at me. His punch was strong, but I dodged it easily. I barely missed the second one. Shit! I didn't see that coming.

Jay-jay's POV

I was inside. Of course, I was still wearing that ridiculous skirt. Ugh, I could still feel it.

Damn those jerks! I wish I could punch them all! They disgust me!

"Miss Jay... food is ready," the maid said, calling me. Why was she calling me 'Miss'? This old lady acts like a young girl.

I walked out of my bedroom and went straight to the dining area. Aunt, Brother Angelo, and Aries were there.

Aries? Why is he here? I thought he had gone home.

"Sit down, Jay," Aunt commanded.

I sat down and stole a glance at Aries. He was just looking at Auntie and Brother Angelo, who was sitting next to me.

"Starting tomorrow, Jay-jay, Aries will accompany you in the car," Brother Angelo said.

I looked at brother while Aries raised an eyebrow in annoyance.

"Brother... I prefer to walk," I said, but he clearly didn't like that.

"No. You're going with Aries."

Come on! Aries is going to be pissed if I go with him.

Our gazes met. Aries. I feel like he wants to bury me alive. But Brother insisted, saying all sorts of things.

Maybe Aries was sent home to keep an eye on me. Even though Brother was the one making decisions, Aries was forced to follow me around. That's scary—he'll definitely get mad.

They even called Grandma to talk to me. Because they know I fear Brother. It's a good thing I'm behaving now. But Aries... there's warmth in his eyes.
