Cheater

Keifer's POV

"Who do you think did that to Jay?" Felix asked me.

"I don't know, but I'm sure Freya is behind it."

It's obvious since she's the only one Jay-Jay keeps clashing with. Because of all the things she keeps stirring up.

"Should we get involved?" Yuri suddenly asked.

I didn't really want to, but from the way Jay looked earlier, it was clear she was really suffering. She's still a girl, after all. I also wanted to know what Aries would do.

"If necessary, I guess..."

He never let Jay-Jay get away with Freya, but she gets affected when we're the ones causing trouble here. Isn't that a bit biased?

"What's the plan?" Felix asked me again.

"Let's wait for her to wake up first."

Jay-Jay's POV

"How hard did you fell?" the nurse asked me.

"Very strong and I fell down immediately." I replied.

I didn't know who brought me here to the clinic. I was immediately attended by a nurse. When the nurse saw that I was awake, I made up an excuse about what happened to me. I said I tripped and hit my stomach on the corner of the table.

"Hold on a moment..." the nurse said before leaving.

I slowly touched my stomach. Damn! It felt like my organs could spill out at any moment. It hurt, and I still felt weak. My hands and legs were trembling.

Damn it! Once I start feeling better, I'Il definitely get back at those guys.

Bastards!

They probably ganged up on me just because I'm a girl. I knew it! I was right all along. Those guys are just followers of A.

Tsk!

The curtain around my bed opened. I thought it was the nurse, but it turned out to be Ci-N and David, followed by the leader of their group.

"Are you okay now?" Ci-N asked me. I forced a smile and nodded.

"Can you tell us what really happened?" David asked.

I didn't really want to because I was still upset about that "You don't belong" remark. But I knew they wouldn't stop pestering me until I told the truth. I glanced at the nurse I had spoken to earlier. I had lied...

I had to be careful talking to him, or I might get caught if she overheard me. Hehe.

"Three guys came into the room, and then-"

"Argh! Did they rap you?!" Ci-N overreacted. I was a bit shocked but immediately gave him a sharp glare.

"Let me finish first, Ci. You might not make it if I don't." That shut him up.

"They said it was a message from Freya... Then, they just smirked at me and left."

Keifer crossed his arms and took a deep breath.

"Section D... They're the only ones I know who always go for gut punches when attacking enemies."

I looked at him. He figured it out instantly- maybe that's just how they are. Everyone here at school seems to know each other.

"I remember their faces. That's enough."

"What's the plan, Jay?" Ci-N asked as he sat beside me.

"For now, I'm going to rest."

"And then?" David followed up.

"I don't know yet." Whether or not I'll get back at them.

"Do you want us to beat them up?" Ci-N offered with a grin.

Always ready for a fight!

"No need... This is my fight, so I'll handle it."

"But Jay-"

"Ci! Stop being pushy!"

He pouted again. I felt like I shouldn't involve them in this mess anymore. "You don't belong to us." People like me, who aren't included, have their own battles to face.

"If that's what you want, fine." Keifer replied.

He was about to leave when I suddenly remembered something. There was something I needed to clarify.

"Keifer!" He stopped and turned back to face me. "..I just have a question." He looked at me, waiting for what I had to ask.

"Is it Aries?" One of his eyebrows raised."..Is Aries the reason why you guys are messing with me?"

It took him a while to respond. We just stared at each other. David and Ci-N also stayed quiet, as if they were waiting for an answer.

"Sort of."

That was all he said before quickly walking out of the clinic. It seemed like he wanted to avoid being questioned about this issue.

Tss.

David was about to leave too, but I stopped him.

"Why?" he asked me.

He was the former president of Section E. It shouldn't be a big deal to ask him something.

"There's just something I don't understand. Freya said that, if Section D and E are being separated, that means there have records too-"

"If you're trying to ask why our section and theirs aren't just merged together, the answer is because they are considered a waste of potential." Ci-N added to what I was asking.

Wow!

He figured out what I wanted to know.

Am I that obvious?

"What do you mean...?"

"Jay, Section D is like Section A, but at the same time, they're also like Section E." Ci-N explained.

I scratched my head. What? That just confused me more.

"What Ci-N means is that the people in Section D are good at a lot of things. They are smart, talented, and excel in sports, just like those in Section A. But they also have records of fights and causing trouble. Unlike Section E, which has no talents and only knows how to pick fights."

Why does it feel like the pain in my body just moved to my head? His explanation was long, but at least it made sense unlike Ci-N's attempt.

"I get it now, but if Section D is talented and gets into fights, then why is Aries in Section A? He also gets into fights."

David and Ci-N looked at each other, as if they didn't want to answer my question.

"Jay..." Ci-N started. "Aries fights dirty. We're not sure how he managed to move up, but one thing's for sure-he never let Keifer and Yuri leave Section E."

Fights dirty?

"You mean he cheats? Is that it?"

Ci-N just nodded at me. So even though his way of fighting is blatant, he still remains in Section A.

Unbelievable!

The way he acts, it's like he's a king.

"By the way, Jay... The Periodical Exam is coming up. Ma'am Tanda wanted to ask if you're really not planning to transfer anymore."

Oh, right. Jeez! He was talking about Ma'am Zaragoza. Ci is such a joker.

"I'll talk to her myself," I replied, and Ci-N smiled at me.

"Alright, Jay... Get some rest. We'll just come back later." David said before heading out of the clinic.

Ci-N followed but waved at me first before completely disappearing from my sight.

I adjusted my lying position, but I had no plans of sleeping. I was thinking.

"Wow! You actually have a brain!"

Tsk!

This annoying thought worm in my head!

My neurons are really getting involved in this. I just can't get what Freya said in the bathroom out of my mind.

Ella was Keifer's ex and later became Yuri's girlfriend. That means she could be the reason those two lost control in the cafeteria. And Aries might be the guy Yuri and Keifer attacked.

Tsk!

I should have asked Ci-N to confirm it, but then I might have been called a gossip. I also wanted to check on Calix. I heard that Mica got mad at him and told him to forget about her and stay away. That's probably why he cried.

Haaaaayyyyyy...

Maybe I should have just studied at a different school. I haven't even been here long, and I'm already dealing with headaches from everything that's happening-plus the physical pain. The nurse came back and checked on me again, even giving me medicine.

I must have been lying around the clinic like an idiot for hours when David and Ci-N finally returned, bringing my things. They said they'd take me home. I wanted to refuse, but would I really win against these two? They're both so pushy and insistent. Anyway, David has a car, so at least they didn't have trouble taking me home.

"Don't you want to come inside?" I asked as I got out of the car.

David just shook his head.

"No, Jay... It looks like you have visitors," Ci-N replied, pointing at the parked cars in front of our house.

Were we expecting visitors?

"Next time, Jay," David added.

I just smiled and nodded. I waited for them to leave before finally entering. I was still having a bit of trouble walking because my body was trembling.

As soon as, I stepped inside the house, it felt like all the pain I was feeling disappeared. It was as if I suddenly had newfound energy, strength surging through me because of who I saw. Maybe I was so strong at that moment I could've killed someone.

Why are these people here?

Aries' group was there, along with Freya and Ella, but I didn't see Mica. My head instantly heated up.

Bad trip!

And to make it worse, I looked like a total mess. I had to borrow a t-shirt because my blouse got ruined. But even then, I still looked filthy.

"Jay... What happened to you?" my aunt blurted out the moment she saw me, making Aries group notice me.

"Hi, Jay!" Kiko greeted me, but- I just gave him a small smile.

Sorry!

I'm not in the mood for flirting right now. You brought that witch with you!

I turned to my aunt to answer her question.

"I tripped and tore my blouse, so I just borrowed a t-shirt."

"Is that so?" Freya muttered under her breath, making sure I heard her.

Tsk!

"You should be more careful. Go change and have a snack," my aunt instructed.

I just smiled and nodded. I shot a glare at Freya before heading to my room. I didn't let it show that I was struggling to walk, even though my whole body was begging for relief.
