Chapter 125.3 - New Year

Jay-jay's POV

Why should I say anything? Why should I respond to his question? Before I can even open my mouth, his lips are already pressed against mine. ❤️

I tried to pull away, but he seized both my hands and pinned them against the elevator wall. I turned my face away, yet he simply followed.

I have no idea how long we've been like this. The moment he paused to catch his breath, I seized my chance.

"KEIFER! LET ME GO!" I shouted at him angrily.

"Then answer of my question." He answered me angrily.

He was so close, I could smell the alcohol in his breath. I don't know if he is drunk or what.

"How will I answer if----"

I couldn't finish what I was going to say. His lips are on mine again. ❤️

He pulled away again and looked at me teasingly.

"Next time, don't put lip gloss. It's tempting me to kiss you." He said this and smirked.

Okay, he's drunk. He's really drunk!

"MOVE AWAY KEIFER!" I shouted and his smile grew wider.

"Profanity!"

It's mud!

He was about to kiss me again when suddenly the elevator bell rang. He let me go but he was still facing me and we were huddled in the corner.

The elevator door opened and people kept entering. With so many of them, we looked like sardines inside.

I saw Yuri so I immediately hid.

This King of Serpents was trying to squeeze me so I looked at him evilly. He was holding on to the wall of the elevator due to the lack of balance because of the people.

"I'm excited about the fireworks." I heard one of our companions say in the elevator.

Fireworks?!

Shit! What time is it?! The new year has reached us here in the elevator. It's a pain in the ass!

"You owe me a kiss." Keifer whispered that gave me a fright.

In the end, I still owe him a kiss. Dirty! Shame on what he did to me.

The elevator door opened. Keifer suddenly walked out with the crowd.

I was left dumbfounded in the corner of the elevator. I just leaned back in weakness.

It's so funny!

"Jay-jay?" Someone called me.

I got straight. I also fixed my clothes.

"You're just here... We've been looking for you for a while." Yuri told me.

I walked closer to him. I just noticed that we were on the rooftop. Almost right next to Yuri's house which is also on the rooftop. The place where we are located is lower than the place of their house.

"I-I saw people go here so I followed." My excuse.

"Ahh.. that's good. Because they are already here, your Big Brother." He said while pointing to their where brother was standing.

I just nodded and tried to smile.

"Let's go?" He asked while offering his arm to me.

It took me a while to think of touching his hand. I hesitated but I did it anyway.

I support him in walking. When we approached grandma, I immediately noticed what they were talking about.

Yuri's Parents!

"They are here..." Aunt said.

I let go of Yuri and approached them. Aunt fixed my hair for a while, which was probably messed up because of that animal.

"Jay..." Yuri called to me. "...I want you to meet your future in laws." He said while hugging his mother.

Thanks to Yuri's Facebook post last Christmas and I met them.

"Otosan is right. She's pretty." His father said.

I wanted to thrill and make out in front of them but I wasn't in the mood. I forced a smile.

"T-thank you." I said.

I looked at Yuri's Mom who was staring at me. It's like she's reading my appearance carefully. I can't help but noticed.

"Hahaoya?" Yuri said to his Mom that I don't know what that means.

"You're familiar to me." His mother told me. "...Aren't you the one Keifer kissed in the elevator earlier?"

My body stiffened. I tried not to react even though they were all looking at me and waiting for me to say something.

"How come?" Yuri asked.

"I try to catch the elevator before the door close, but I saw Keifer inside making out with a girl." Yuri's mom replied.

"How did you say it was Keifer?" Yuri's Dad asked more.

"What kind of question is that? It was Keifer... He's almost grown up so I know him even when he's just a fingernail."

I looked at brother Angelo who was currently drinking alcohol. He gave me a bad look as if he was saying 'Let's talk later!'

"Oh wait! Forget what I said. I just mistook you. I thought you were the only one wearing a white dress here." His mother said while pointing at Keifer with another woman in a white dress.

He was still holding a glass with wine. The woman was constantly laughing and smiling.

Animal!

The impact is really flirty. After I *bleep" earlier in the elevator, here he is again. Snake!

Tengeneg, I'm really going to burn my dresses in the cabinet. Damn! This King of Serpents is infuriating.

"Just wait?" Yuri's Mom said and suddenly walked closer to Keifer.

I thought what she was going to do, I was a little surprised when she pulled the King of the Snake by the ear. I could see the annoyance and pain in Keifer's face but he couldn't do anything.

They stopped in front of us and forced Keifer aside from Yuri.

"Aw..." Keifer whispered while rubbing his ear.

"Honey... You don't have to drag Keifer like that." Yuri's father said.

"I just want... Because that boy is reprimanded." His mother answered with a smile.

"You the Keifer?" Grandma asked suddenly and looked at me. "...He's also a handsome boy." She whispered to me.

I rolled my eyes at grandma. Even now she really thought of telling me that. I felt that she really believed what Ci-N said that Keifer is indeed my boyfriend.

"Yeah... And I guess, you are Jay-jay's Mom." Keifer replied to grandma.

"No... I'm her grandmother."

"Really? But you look too young to be a grandmother." Keifer's smile.

Mud! He is really stupid. Even he made grandmother fool. Grandma immediately blushed while holding her cheek.

"I was embarrassed by what you said." Grandma said.

Oh... Feeling like a teenager.

"What about that morning wine, Keifer?" Yuri's Papa greeted him in his hand.

"I was just enjoying the night." He answered while drinking.

"Where are Keigan and Keiren?" Yuri shouted.

"At home... They don't want this kind of Party. They preferred to sleep."

I feel them...

It's really better to sleep. Especially in my current situation. Then no one wakes up.

"Is Aries here?" Yuri's Mama commented when she saw Aries and Ella getting closer. "...Look at the three of you. You were young men. Whereas before, we always talked to Angelo to discipline you."

It suddenly became awkward. Keifer looked away and Yuri suddenly bowed. Ella and Aries looked at each other.

"...Too bad, Percy's gone." She added that it made us feel even heavier.

"It's a shame, right Aries?" Keifer said causing Aries' eyebrows to meet.

Yuri and I looked at each other. It's as if one is hoping. I think he's looking for a fight.

I don't know how long we can hide from Aries that Percy is alive and how many times he has shown me.

I looked back at Keifer and I couldn't escape his gaze on Ella. For some reason I don't understand, I looked at Ella who was also staring at him.

It felt like something hurt in my chest. I felt heavy. I took a deep breath to make it disappear but still the same.

"I'll just get some water." I said goodbye to Auntie.

They nodded and let me walk away. I approached one of the waiters to ask for water.

While waiting for the waiter, I couldn't help but look at them. I don't understand Keifer, why is he doing that to me. It's obvious that Ella still loves him.

Am I hurt?!

I shouldn't be feeling this. Why is this?

The waiter came back and gave me water. After drinking, I overcame the thirsty elephant. Feeling of very dry throat.

"Easy..." Someone commented.

I glared at the waiter thinking he was the one who spoke. I looked at him curiously but he immediately looked behind me causing me to look too.

Can I hit it?

He was still smiling at me before handing the glass he was holding to the waiter. I also gave what I was holding and was about to walk away but Keifer grabbed my arm.

"Hey... What's wrong with you?"

"What's wrong with you?!" I asked him back.

He just laughed at me. Could it be that his brain has been cooked in wine? The power of right.

He released me and let me go but my right foot stepped away from him. I don't know what pushed me but...

"Why are you doing this to me?" I have a serious question.

"Hm?"

"Because I don't understand you... It's because you're flirting. You're flirting with me, then it turns out you really want something else." I said calmly.

His look became serious. He looked away and seemed hesitant to answer.

"LET THE COUNT DOWN BEGIN!" Someone shouted into the mic.

The large digital clock projected onto the screen on a part of the rooftop started working. There are only 30 seconds before the new year.

"I'm not flirty. You're just really numb so you can't get what I wanted to convey." Keifer said causing my eyebrows to meet.

"I'm not indifferent; I just don't want to make assumptions—like you do. If I believe you have feelings for me, only to find out you don't, then what happens in the end?"

"What if you think that I like you, then it turns out to be true. What's the ending?" Keifer replied.

I was stunned. Son of...

"See... You're too scared to assume, even if the truth slaps you." He said and smirked.

I just swallowed. My courage seems to have receded earlier. Also include my arrogance in confronting him and telling him that he is 'flirty'.

"10 SECONDS!" People screamed.

"You kept thinking that I'm still in love with someone else. So you closed your mind to accept the fact that I might really like you." He said and stepped closer to me.

"Since you started it... I'll clear things between us now." He said and smiled.

"Stop thinking that I'm m still in love with someone else. Start thinking that I really like you---! Exactly, that I love you." ❤️

I looked at the people. They are all looking at the sky and waiting for foreworks. Also Brother and Yuri, that's why no one notices us.

"No more... No more Ella." He said the reason for me to look at him.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

I lost the chance to answer. I couldn't say what I wanted to say. I lost myself when I heard that from him.

And I really lost myself. I just found myself inside the restroom and...
