HEARTS ON FIRE

Hazel's pulse raced as she stood beneath the city's glowing skyline, her eyes locking with Ethan's smoldering gaze from across the rooftop bar. The air buzzed with heat, tension, and the unspoken ache between them. Ethan's voice, low and magnetic, broke the silence. "You came."

"I always do," Hazel replied, her voice soft but charged.

Ethan closed the space between them, his fingers brushing her cheek, sending shivers through her. "You're driving me mad," he murmured, his breath warm against her skin. "You light me up, then leave me in the dark." His thumb traced her lips. "But you always come back."

Before she could answer, a voice sliced through the intimacy. "So, this is your little secret?" Olivia, her eyes flashing with something between curiosity and jealousy.

Hazel tensed. "Olivia—"

"Relax," Olivia said, her arms folded. "I just wonder if you know what you're risking."

Ethan's smirk turned sharp. "Still playing protector?"

Hazel's gaze darted between them. "Stop it, both of you. This isn't about Daniel or warnings."

"Daniel's looking for you," Olivia added, her voice laced with challenge.

Ethan's jaw flexed. "Still can't let him go?"

Hazel felt the storm of guilt and desire collide within her. "It's not that simple," she whispered.

Ethan pulled her closer, his lips brushing hers with a slow, burning hunger. "Then let's make it simple," he growled. "Choose me." His mouth claimed hers, raw and demanding, and she melted into him.

The city faded. The only thing real was the heat of Ethan's body against hers and the pounding of her heart. In the shadows, Olivia's eyes glinted—not just with envy but with something far more dangerous.
