Chapter 35 Colson's Inquiry

The battle grew even fiercer as Kino and Basa's figures clashed repeatedly across the grand plaza. Each collision sent shockwaves rippling through the ground.

As Kino launched a swift and powerful punch, he spoke in a calm yet commanding tone. "Is your strength reaching its limit?"

"Not even close!" Basa roared in defiance.

However, Basa's body was already showing signs of damage. Deep wounds crisscrossed his bulging muscles, and his rate of power growth had slowed. Every time he countered Kino's relentless attacks, it became increasingly difficult for him to keep up.

Yet, he gritted his teeth and fought back with everything he had, refusing to be overwhelmed.

Kino frowned slightly. His clenched fist suddenly tightened as he gathered an unparalleled amount of force. Then, with devastating momentum, he struck Basa directly in the chest.

A deafening "BOOM" echoed through the battlefield as Basa was sent flying like a shooting star. His body crashed into the ground, tumbling and bouncing violently, kicking up a massive cloud of dust and sending shattered stones in all directions.

"RUMBLE—!"

With a thunderous impact, Basa's body finally slammed into a distant wall. The entire structure trembled, and cracks spread across its surface like an intricate spiderweb.

As Basa lay defeated, the entire crowd of demons erupted into cheers. Their voices boomed like rolling thunder, shaking the very foundations of the Hell Plaza.

"Long live His Majesty! His Majesty is invincible!" The demons chanted in unison, their cries filled with awe and reverence toward Kino.

At that moment, a voice echoed in Kino's mind—it was Venom.

[This guy's ability is quite useful. I can copy it.]

Even though Basa had been suppressed by Kino, his power was impressive. His ability to absorb damage alone made him nearly invincible in a short-term battle.

This ability was limited by the user's own physique. But if someone like Superman had it, their power would be unimaginable. With such an ability, a single punch could likely shatter the Earth itself.

"Indeed. His potential is extremely high."

Venom's copied abilities did not have growth potential. For example, he couldn't gain Kryptonian physiology, which would allow someone to grow stronger simply by absorbing sunlight. However, he could combine different abilities in unique ways to maximize their effectiveness.

Basa slowly pulled himself out of the cracked wall. Step by step, he walked toward Kino, then dropped to both knees.

"Your Majesty, I concede." His deep voice carried sincerity, and his head bowed low, all arrogance gone.

Demons followed the law of strength. As long as someone was stronger, they would submit without hesitation. The reason Xi (Xi) had failed to subdue Basa before was because she had used the power of Hell itself, rather than her own.

"In that case, I command you—do not resist what comes next."

"Yes, Your Majesty," Basa responded obediently.

Kino placed a hand on Basa's shoulder. At that moment, Venom slithered down from Kino's arm, rapidly entering Basa's body to replicate his ability.

The surrounding demons fell silent, watching the scene unfold with bated breath.

Moments later, Venom had successfully copied the ability. Kino removed his hand and nodded in satisfaction.

"Rise, Basa."

Basa stood up, his gaze now filled only with loyalty and admiration.

Kino then turned his attention to Blonsky and gestured for him to come forward.

"Blonsky, step up."

Blonsky quickly walked over, his eyes full of anticipation.

"You will form a contract with Basa."

Blonsky looked toward Basa, but Basa merely scoffed. Without hesitation, he named his condition. "If you want my power, you must last ten minutes against me in combat."

"Fine," Blonsky agreed without hesitation.

But before he could react, Basa delivered a powerful kick, sending Blonsky flying through the air.

"Pathetic human," Basa sneered. Since Kino had brought Blonsky, Basa wouldn't kill him, but the blow was enough to keep him down for a while.

"I hate that move the most!"

With a furious roar, Blonsky forced himself up, his body rapidly transforming. Within seconds, he had become Abomination, his monstrous form filled with rage as he charged at Basa once more.

"Interesting," Basa muttered, now genuinely intrigued. In the next instant, the two clashed violently.

Kino, no longer concerned with their battle, floated back to his throne.

Just as he sat down, Pamela threw herself into his arms and kissed him deeply.

Frank and Banner instinctively looked away. Meanwhile, Hulk remained fixated on the fight below, his eyes filled with excitement.

Xi, on the other hand, stared at the couple with a mixture of jealousy toward Pamela and admiration toward Kino.

Once Pamela finished her passionate kiss, Venom, now back in his humanoid form, also leaned in and planted a quick kiss on Kino's cheek.

Kino smiled warmly, his gaze filled with affection as he embraced them both.

Meanwhile, the battle between Basa and Blonsky intensified, with dust and debris flying everywhere. Yet, for now, Kino turned his focus away from them, instead relishing the warmth and tranquility of the moment.

Seated on his throne, he held Pamela and Venom close. Then, with a simple wave of his hand, several stone chairs rose from the ground.

"Take a seat," Kino said casually.

Xi immediately chose the seat closest to Kino on the left.

Frank attempted to take the rightmost seat, but Coulson moved faster, securing the spot before him. Frank shot him a sharp glance before reluctantly sitting beside him.

Banner picked a random chair and sat down as well.

"Hulk… wants… fight," Hulk muttered eagerly, his gaze locked on the battle below. He looked at Kino expectantly, his expression almost pitiful.

Kino chuckled and turned to Xi. "Xi, find some demons who can take a good beating and let him have fun."

"Minotaur demon, step forward!" Xi commanded.

From the crowd, a towering minotaur-like demon emerged. Its massive physique was nearly equal to Hulk's, its crimson eyes gleaming with battle lust.

Kino had plans for Xi—he wanted to train her as the steward of Hell. After all, he wouldn't stay in Hell forever.

"Hulk, fight," Hulk roared excitedly. With a powerful leap, he dove toward the minotaur demon, and their brutal battle began.

The demons in the audience widened their eyes in excitement. To them, there were only two great pleasures—sleep and combat.

Breaking the silence, Coulson finally spoke. "Your Majesty… what is your true purpose in coming to the human world?"

Kino glanced at him, then replied indifferently, "You are not a demon, so you don't need to call me 'Your Majesty.' Just call me Kino. As for my purpose… I have none. I'm just here to enjoy life."

Coulson frowned in doubt. "You expect me to believe that?"

Kino smirked. "What else do you expect? Destruction? Conquest? If that were my goal, I'd be sitting in the White House by now."

Coulson had no response.

Just then—

Gurgle…

A faint growling sound filled the air. Pamela blushed and held her stomach in embarrassment. "It's already noon… I haven't eaten all day. I'm starving."

Kino chuckled. "Xi, bring out Hell's finest cuisine."

Xi nodded and left for the palace's kitchen.

Quote:"Power without control is nothing but destruction. True strength lies not in conquest, but in knowing when to hold back."
