Chapter 103: Subjugating the Brotherhood

Kino checked the time, his expression turning serious. "Erik, if you have something to say, make it quick. We can't stay here for long."

"Yes, my king," Magneto responded obediently. By now, his loyalty toward Kino was absolute.

Kino retrieved two bodies—one large and one small—and began altering them using his abilities.

Magneto knelt beside his daughter, speaking gently, "Nina, would you like to come with Daddy?"

Nina hesitated, her big eyes blinking curiously. "Is the other Daddy coming too?"

Magneto found himself unable to answer. Erik stepped in, saying, "Not for now. Daddy still has work to do, but I'll come find you soon."

"Okay then," Nina nodded sweetly. For her, as long as one of her fathers was by her side, everything was fine.

Erik rubbed his stubbled cheek against Nina's soft face, reluctant to let go.

"Take good care of them," he said quietly.

"Of course," Kino replied as he finished his work. In front of them lay two bodies identical to Jenna and Nina.

"Wow, they look just like me!" Nina exclaimed, her face filled with wonder.

"Of course! My craftsmanship is top-tier," Kino boasted proudly.

"Can you make me a unicorn doll, then?" Nina asked with wide-eyed anticipation.

"Uncle?" Kino feigned a stern expression. "Call me brother, and I'll do it."

"Brother!" Nina called out sweetly.

"Good girl." Kino smiled, pleased with her response.

He opened a portal to Hell, where the passage of time remained unaffected by reality.

"Erik, head inside. Charles is waiting for you," Kino instructed.

"Thank you, my king," Magneto said sincerely, holding Nina in his arms, his gratitude evident.

"No need for thanks. Just make sure to earn a lot of money for me in the future," Kino replied playfully.

Nina waved at Erik as the portal began to close. "Goodbye, Daddy!"

"Goodbye, Nina," Erik responded, his voice trembling as he fought back tears.

The moment the portal shut, Erik could no longer contain his emotions. Tears spilled down his face.

"That's enough. Compared to losing your daughter, a few decades apart is a blessing," Kino remarked bluntly.

"You're right. This is already a miracle. Thank you, my king," Erik said, wiping his tears, his voice still quivering.

Using his biological force field, Kino manipulated the puppet-like bodies to embrace each other before piercing them with an arrow.

Erik's heart clenched in pain. Even knowing they were fake did nothing to quell his sorrow and rage.

Is this what would have happened without Kino? The thought haunted him.

"Next, I will seal your memory and ensure you follow the original timeline. You must never recall these events, or I cannot predict what changes might occur," Kino warned solemnly.

"I understand, my king," Erik said. Despite hating anyone tampering with his mind, this time was different.

From Kino's chest, the core glowed, projecting the image of Professor X. A surge of psychic energy erupted, controlling the police, Erik, and even restoring the birds to their original positions.

Carefully, Kino erased all traces of their presence, leaving nothing to chance.

Satisfied that everything was in order, he vanished in a flash of light, returning to the future.

Back in the warehouse, Kino found himself face-to-face with a furious Mystique.

"Where did you take Erik?" she demanded, her eyes full of suspicion.

The Brotherhood members quickly encircled Kino, preventing him from escaping again.

"How long was I gone?" Kino asked, unfazed.

"Less than three seconds," Mystique answered after a brief hesitation.

"A flawless time travel operation," Kino mused, the corners of his mouth curling into a satisfied smile.

A portal opened, and Erik stepped out.

Facing the assembled Brotherhood, Erik's voice rang out loud and clear. "From today onward, Kino is the leader of the Brotherhood."

Mystique's eyes narrowed at the sight of Erik's helmet. Was he under Kino's control?

The other members exchanged glances, uncertainty evident in their expressions.

Erik's face hardened. Instantly, the surrounding metal rose into the air, swirling ominously and creating an overwhelming sense of threat.

"Does my word no longer hold weight?" Erik's voice boomed, filled with authority and menace.

Overwhelmed by his sheer presence, the Brotherhood members dropped to their knees.

"Greetings, leader," they chanted in unison, their voices tinged with fear and reverence.

Satisfied, Erik turned and knelt on one knee before Kino. "My king."

Mystique and the others were stunned by Erik's unwavering submission.

"Erik, remove your helmet. I need to inspect your memories," Kino ordered.

"Yes, my king," Erik complied without hesitation, lifting the helmet from his head.

The Brotherhood members' shock deepened. They never imagined Erik would be so docile.

Kino delved into Erik's mind, quickly locating a familiar seal and releasing it.

Erik's eyes momentarily lost focus as memories of his family being saved by Kino resurfaced.

Kino confirmed that his actions had indeed affected their original timeline rather than a parallel one.

"Erik, sign the contract," Kino instructed, unwilling to leave anything to chance.

"Yes," Erik replied, using his powers to etch his name in metal.

"Your task is to bring at least seventy percent of the world's mutants under our control within six months," Kino commanded.

"Understood, my king. What should I do if I encounter mutants who refuse to submit?" Erik asked, fully accepting the monumental challenge.

"Kill them. If they are psychopathic murderers, eliminate them as well," Kino stated coldly, his voice devoid of mercy.

"That is an almost impossible task—six months is not enough time to reach and convince so many," Mystique interjected, her concern and doubt evident.

"Mystique, be silent. Do not question our king," Erik snapped, his icy gaze enough to silence any further objections.

"Relax, Erik," Kino said, pulling out a case of vials. "These are enhancement serums. They will boost your strength two to three times, though women should avoid using them due to side effects."

Next, he produced a black card embossed with a demonic emblem. "This card grants access to all resources under the Demon Corporation—vehicles, aircraft, accommodations, and even regeneration medicine."

"Consider yourselves employees now. Each of you will receive a monthly salary of thirty thousand dollars, plus full company benefits," Kino added with a grin, as if these luxuries were mere trifles to him.

"The most unyielding chains are forged not by power, but by loyalty."
