Chapter 14: The Avatar

In the morning, The sun was high in the sky, shining on the igloo of Katara and Kanuk. The tribe worked hard, doing their activities, with Katara and Kanuk still inside their igloo.

"Uhmmm~" With a satisfied groan, Kanuk woke up from sleep, stretching his hands above his head. Kanuk let out a sigh as he looked down at his chest.

Katara was sleeping with her naked body still lying on his chest, her legs sprawled on Kanuk's sides. Her heat still enveloped Kanuk's limp cock. 

Gently pushing Katara off his chest, Kanuk Got up with disgust. The smell of cum was strong, and he did not like it at all. He needed a shower and quick.

The moisture in the air started condensing as Kanuk waved his hand. It collected into a water ball big enough for Kanuk to wash himself. The noise of him washing woke Katara up.

Katara opened her eyes with a gentle and satisfied light. She smiled as she noticed Kanuk washing himself. She silently got up and sneaked up behind her.

"Let's shower. We have to go and hunt today since the tribe has started to run out of food." Katara nodded as she got on her tiptoes and kissed Kanuk, who returned the kiss with more fervour.

The two of them soon finished their shower, put their clothes on and then went out to the boat. Sokka did not come with them since he was too busy training his spear skills.

"Alright, let's go." Katara nodded as Kanuk pushed his boat away from the dock. Kanuk started rowing the boat towards a different place.; His eyesight reached an icy place.

"Kanuk, are we lost? This place is much more icy than the other places." Katara asked with a confused expression as she looked around. Around them were medium-sized icebergs.

The boat shifted through the icy waters, soon reaching deep inside a place where a massive Iceberg was. Kanuk stopped rowing the boat as he reached the place, and he stood up.

"Katara, I will go hunting now." Katara watched as Kanuk jumped into the water. She huffed in worry as the ice water was much colder than before. Kanuk might get hurt from the icy water.

Splash!

Kanuk felt a comfortable cooling sensation around his body as he entered the water. His eyes opened, and he saw the frozen air Bison underwater as the frozen avatar sat inside the iceberg.

"This is the female version of the avatar?" Kanuk went towards the frozen avatar with curiosity on his face. Once he reached it, his extreme eyesight allowed him to look inside.

The avatar had long brown hair with a single braid let down on the left side. The avatar's eyes were glowing white while in the avatar state, releasing an aura of power.

Boom!

With a precise strike on the iceberg, a thin crack started spreading until it violently broke apart and resurfaced at the top of the water. Kanuk swam up and jumped on the boat.

Boom!

Kanuk pushed his hands forward, and the water stopped before overturning the boat with Katara inside.

"Kanuk! What was that?" Katara stood up while pushing her arms out. The shaking sea calmed down a little faster. Her training bore results as she was much better than before.

With the ring Kanuk gave her, she has already understood the basics of water bending herself. She can bend large amounts of water now, unlike the small water at first.

"I don't know, but we will find out soon!" Kanuk pretended not to know as he looked at the glowing piece of iceberg that surfaced onto the ocean's surface. It was glowing, and a girl could be seen sitting inside it.

"Oh my god! There is a person inside it." Katara's eyes opened wide as she saw a girl about her age sitting inside the iceberg. She jumped over the boat and stepped on pieces of ice as she ran towards her.

"Katara, wait!" Kanuk sighed before performing a superhuman jump. He jumped over the canoe, his body jumping over 10 meters and landing safely next to Katara.

"Kanuk, there is a girl inside the ice. What should we do?" Katara asked with worry in her voice. Kanuk smiled before he walked to the ice, and he pulled his hand back.

Crack*

The ice under the impact of his punch cracked and exploded, blowing a hole inside the iceberg that let the air inside it rush out. Suddenly, the iceberg started shaking before a light beam was sent into the sky.

Boom!

Kanuk jumped back and shielded Katara from the fierce wind as he watched the white light shoot up into the sky. It was powerful, and Kanuk felt like he would not even be able to take an attack.

"What is that?" Once the light diminished and the fierce wind calmed down, Katara asked as she poked her head out from behind Kanuk. 

"Katara, stay here. I will go check." Kanuk smiled as he walked towards the hole. As he walked closer to the hole the light made, a person started crawling up before falling.

Kanuk jumped forward and caught the girl in his arms. Katara came up behind him with a worried look on her face. The girl was revealed to have blue tattoo marks on her hands.

"Who is she?" Katara asked in confusion. Kanuk shrugged his shoulder as an indication that he did not know. Just then, the girl was heard talking to Kanuk.

"Can I ask you something?..." Kanuk looked down and noticed the girl's eyes were open.

"What do you want to tell me?" Kanuk asked in confusion as he looked at the girl. The girl then told Kanuk to come closer, and Katara watched with a suspicious look.

"Do you want to pigeon slide with me?" Kanuk and Katara looked at each other in bewilderment before Kanuk replied with an unsure tone.

"Sure?..." The girl jumped up excitedly, her feet not touching the ground as the wind lifted her. Katara and Kanuk watched, with Katara shocked.

"She is an airbender?" Katara asked, and the girl nodded her head in agreement before she looked back and started to climb up the ice. She soon reached it and jumped inside.

Kanuk and Katra followed her and entered to see the girl hugging a massive bison-like animal. It had an arrow mark on its head and fluffy fur on its body.

"What's your name?" Kanuk asked as he slid down the ice, carrying Katara down. The girl looked up with a smile as she replied, her voice joyful.

"My name is Fei. I am an airbender!" Kanuk opened his eyes in surprise. He thought her name would be Aang. It looks like they give different names to girls and boys in the air temple.

"Nice to meet you, Fei. My name is Kanuk, and this is Katara. We are water benders." Kanuk smiled as he introduced himself to Fei. Katara waved at her with a smile.

"So ready to penguin slide with me?" Fei asked as she looked at Kanuk. Her eyes shone with light as she waited for his answer. This was the first time she saw a boy her age.

In the air temple, Fei was isolated when the temple found out she was the avatar. This did not allow her to have friends. She was always around people much older than her, like Gyatso.

'Why is she looking at Kanuk that way?... Whatever, I will let it slide.' Katara crossed her hands under her chest. Katara looked at Fei with a bored look.

"Sure we can. Let's go right now" Kanuk smiled as he accepted the penguin ride. Katara huffed, but in the end, she agreed with a smile. At least Kanuk would be there.

Meanwhile...

Around the water area, a fire nation ship was sailing towards the light that erupted in the sky, and on the vessel was Prince Zuko. He had a look of excitement on his face.

"Finally, my long search has finally come to an end! The avatar is mine, and my honour will be regained!" Zuko said, with Iroh looking at his nephew's back with worry.

"Prince Zuko..." Iroh muttered under his breath.
