Chapter 65

Takumi and Shenhe were stunned when they heard Cloud Retainer's voice from inside the factory.

"Madness!"

"You are the worst students I've ever taught!"

"I've never seen anyone as foolish as you!"

"How many times have I told you not to do that?"

"And yet, what do you do?"

Shenhe and Takumi, listening from outside, were left speechless.

Takumi quickly walked in.

"Master!"

Shenhe, following behind, saw Cloud Retainer flapping her wings and scolding the workers.

She couldn't help but call out.

Upon hearing this familiar voice, Cloud Retainer turned her head.

When she saw Shenhe, a flash of surprise appeared in her eyes.

"Shenhe!"

"Why have you come?"

Even as she spoke, she turned back to the workers.

"Hmph! Do it again!"

"If you fail this time, you're fired!"

"Stupid humans!"

She was clearly frustrated.

These people were impossible to teach.

The organ artificers working in the factory, upon hearing this, felt a wave of relief.

They hurriedly moved away and resumed their tasks.

At the same time, they pushed aside a massive mechanical device.

Seeing this, Takumi was puzzled.

"Cloud Retainer, what exactly are you working on?"

Hearing Takumi's question, Cloud Retainer shook her feathers before answering:

"The automated production line you suggested."

"These fools still haven't grasped the basics!"

"It's truly frustrating!"

She couldn't help but complain.

Her tone was filled with exasperation.

Takumi was left speechless.

He didn't know what to say.

Cloud Retainer, however, quickly shifted her focus to Shenhe.

"Shenhe, why have you left the mountain?"

Hearing her master's words, Shenhe sighed.

"Master, you've been gone from Aozang Mountain for over a month."

"I was worried something had happened to you, so I came to check."

If you hadn't returned for more than a month, wouldn't I have come looking?

Cloud Retainer was shocked by this revelation.

"It's been more than a month?"

Had she really been here that long without noticing?

Time had passed so quickly.

She hadn't even realized it.

After sighing for a moment, she suddenly froze.

Her gaze fixed on Takumi.

At that moment, Cloud Retainer was visibly shocked.

She could feel the power of the Geo Archon within him.

Being stared at so intensely, Takumi felt confused.

"What's wrong, Cloud Retainer?"

Are you about to introduce Shenhe as my wife?

That wouldn't be unacceptable.

"Did the Geo Archon grant you power?"

She frowned.

Was the Geo Archon planning to make him the new God of Geo?

Hearing her question, Takumi smiled.

He then took out the imitation of the Heart of God.

"This is a copy of his power."

"He did give me the Heart of God before, but I didn't accept it. Instead, I simply replicated it."

Cloud Retainer was momentarily stunned.

"Copy?"

"You can replicate such a thing?"

Shenhe also glanced at Takumi in surprise.

This handsome man could actually replicate the power of the Geo Archon?

Incredible.

After her initial shock, Cloud Retainer carefully observed Takumi.

Then, she turned her gaze to Shenhe.

After a brief silence, she spoke.

"Shenhe."

"You should stay here from now on."

"The Geo Archon values this place and is helping to build a new city here."

"You will stay and assist Takumi."

After saying this, she turned back to Takumi.

"Takumi."

"I entrust my disciple to you."

"You can ask her to do anything you need."

"Shenhe's fate is one of solitude, and she often struggles with the energy within her."

"But you are different."

"The power you wield can help suppress the evil aura within her."

"I hope she can stay by your side."

"Shenhe has lived in Aozang Mountain since she was a child, rarely entering the human world."

"This will be a good opportunity for her to integrate into society."

"After all, she is human and cannot remain isolated forever."

Cloud Retainer spoke at length.

Both Takumi and Shenhe were left stunned.

Takumi was momentarily confused.

Shenhe staying?

Shenhe, on the other hand, was completely bewildered.

What was her master saying?

"Master—"

"Shenhe, do not speak."

"Takumi, what do you think?"

"Will you take care of this child?"

Shenhe wanted to say something, but she was cut off.

Takumi sighed at Cloud Retainer's words.

"If Shenhe doesn't mind, I have no objections."

"It's not good for a girl to live in the mountains forever."

"If she stays here, she can help."

After thinking it over, Takumi agreed.

He really did need an assistant.

Keqing was usually busy, and whenever he needed her help, it only made her more overwhelmed.

If Shenhe became his assistant, Keqing could finally have some relief.

For Keqing's sake, Takumi didn't mind having a new secretary.

"Excellent!"

Cloud Retainer nodded with satisfaction.

Shenhe opened her mouth but found herself at a loss for words.

Was this really happening?

Moreover, could Takumi truly suppress the aura within her?

Was it because he had copied the power of the Geo Archon?

Thinking of this, Shenhe silently nodded.

That must be the reason.

She didn't dwell on it further.

If Cloud Retainer had arranged it this way, there must be a reason.

And so, Shenhe was left in a daze.

From that moment on, Takumi had a new companion.

Cloud Retainer, seeing everything had been settled, looked pleased.

She gave Takumi a meaningful glance.

As if to say, "Take care of my apprentice."

Takumi sighed inwardly.

Sure enough, this crane wasn't serious.

After a brief internal grumble, he decided to move on.

"Cloud Retainer, how is the progress on the production line?"

Cloud Retainer had been researching an automated production line for the vehicles.

Takumi needed to know how things were going.

With driver's license tests being completed, it was time to start selling cars.

Hearing Takumi's question, Cloud Retainer nodded.

"It's almost finished."

"It should be completed within a few days."

"Why? Are you in a hurry?"

She was puzzled.

Was Takumi in a rush?

If needed, she could speed up the process.

Takumi nodded.

"Many people are passing their driver's license tests."

"They will soon start purchasing vehicles."

"I'm worried about production capacity."

Currently, all vehicles were hand-assembled by alchemists.

Only three or four could be produced daily.

That wasn't nearly enough.
