Xiangling glanced at Takumi in confusion.
Didn't he say that Diona was Klee's friend? How did he suddenly become acquainted with her?
Although she was puzzled, Xiangling didn't expose it. Instead, she nodded.
"Miss, please come with me. I'll take you to see the meat first, and then I'll introduce you to our mayor."
One of the villagers quickly spoke up to handle the matter. Takumi nodded and then turned to Xiangling.
"Xiangling, stay here. I'll head to Mondstadt. Contact me when you're done."
Hearing Takumi say this, Xiangling quickly nodded.
"Alright! Then you go ahead."
She knew Takumi had things to take care of, so she was fine handling herself here. After all, she was planning to test her cooking skills with the locals.
After giving his instructions, Takumi started the car and drove toward Mondstadt. It only took a little over an hour to travel from Springvale to Mondstadt.
Along the way, Takumi encountered many roadblocks and saw numerous members of the Knights of Favonius clearing out monsters. As an unfamiliar visitor, he naturally attracted attention. However, upon recognizing his car, many knights realized he was from Liyue. Some even recognized Takumi himself.
Takumi ignored them and continued toward Mondstadt.
As he approached the bridge in front of Mondstadt, he checked to see if any pigeons were there. Unfortunately, due to the dragon calamity, no pigeons were flying overhead. They had likely been scared away. Even Timmy was nowhere to be seen, probably hiding at home.
Driving up to the city gate, the stationed knights didn't stop him, allowing him to drive directly into Mondstadt.
The real Mondstadt looked more vibrant than in the game. Although many shops were closed, those still open suggested a usually bustling economy. There were also quite a few people on the streets, though most remained indoors.
Takumi drove around the city, drawing curiosity from onlookers.
"Is that the big shot from Liyue?" some whispered.
Takumi wasn't in a hurry to meet Jean, knowing she might not be in the city at the moment. As he wandered, he spotted a familiar restaurant in the square—Good Hunter.
It wasn't at the city gate, but closer to the center of Mondstadt.
The restaurant appeared empty, likely affected by the dragon calamity.
After pondering for a moment, Takumi parked his car outside Good Hunter, got out, and prepared to eat. Evening was approaching, making it the perfect time for dinner. He decided to search for Jean the following day.
Takumi ordered a meal and sat outside to wait.
Just as he was waiting for his food, a crisp voice called out.
"Brother Takumi~?"
The tone carried some uncertainty.
Hearing the familiar voice, Takumi turned to look and saw Klee, Qiqi, and Yaoyao. Alongside them was a cat-eared girl, Diona, and a white-haired maid, Noelle.
"Klee!" Takumi exclaimed in surprise.
Seeing Takumi turn around, Klee's face lit up.
"Brother Takumi!! It really is Brother Takumi! I thought I was mistaken!"
Klee ran forward excitedly, followed closely by Yaoyao and Qiqi. She jumped into Takumi's arms, making him chuckle.
Noelle and Diona exchanged curious glances.
Was this the Takumi that Klee often mentioned?
"Brother Takumi, you're here!" Yaoyao also ran up excitedly.
Qiqi, after struggling to recall who Takumi was, pulled out her notebook and found his name listed under "Good Person." Upon remembering, she also ran forward.
Looking at the three little girls in front of him, Takumi was amused.
"Klee, Qiqi, Yaoyao, have you all eaten yet? Sit down and join me. And you two as well," he said, gesturing to Noelle and Diona.
Noelle hesitated, about to refuse, but Klee quickly chimed in.
"Sister Noelle! Sit down and eat with us! It's okay, okay, okay~!"
Seeing Klee's pleading eyes, Noelle's heart softened.
"Alright. Thank you for the invitation, Mr. Takumi."
Saying this, she took a seat.
Diona, not one to be polite, immediately sat down as well.
Seeing Noelle hesitate, Takumi urged, "If you're going to sit, just sit properly."
For a moment, Noelle looked conflicted. Was this really alright?
"Sister Noelle, sit down!!" Klee insisted.
Noelle hesitated but eventually nodded.
"Alright! I'm Noelle, Mr. Takumi. Pleased to meet you!"
Hearing her introduction, Takumi nodded.
"I'm Takumi. Nice to meet you, too."
Klee, now seated, turned her sparkling eyes toward Takumi.
"Brother Takumi, why are you here? Did you come to pick up Klee?"
Hearing her words, Klee's eyes gleamed with anticipation.
Takumi couldn't help but chuckle.
"I came to help deal with the dragon calamity. After all, I made a promise to Barbatos."
At this, Noelle and Diona were visibly shocked.
"Mr. Takumi, you know Barbatos?!" Noelle asked incredulously.
Diona also perked up, nodding in agreement. This handsome big brother actually knew Barbatos?
Klee, however, widened her eyes and said, "Oh! So the big brother who likes to drink went to find Brother Takumi! No wonder he disappeared so fast last time."
Hearing Klee's tone, Noelle and Diona were even more confused.
Did Klee also know Barbatos?
Was this real or a joke?
"Yeah," Takumi confirmed with a grin. "He came to Liyue looking for our Geo Archon to drink. Stayed there for a few days."
Then he looked at Klee and asked, "By the way, Klee, Jean and the others aren't in Mondstadt right now, right? Has the Wind Dragon issue been resolved?"
Klee quickly nodded.
"Uh-huh! It seems to be resolved! Captain Jean, Sister Lisa, and Brother Kaeya went to Stormterror's Lair with Traveler and Paimon."
Hearing Klee's response, Takumi felt relieved.
So, it was time for Venti to have his heartbroken moment dealing with the Fatui.
