Jean saw that Takumi had his own arrangements and did not say anything further.
"Alright, Mr. Takumi. Tomorrow, you must come to the Knights of Favonius headquarters. I'll take my leave now. See you tomorrow."
With that, Jean decided not to linger any longer and left to attend to her own duties. The dragon disaster had been resolved, but there was still much work to be done.
Takumi nodded and watched as Jean departed. His gaze then fell on Venti.
"What are you still doing here? Weren't you planning to go drink?"
Hearing Takumi's words, Venti smiled.
"I have no money! Why don't you lend me some?"
Venti looked at Takumi expectantly. He wanted to drink but lacked the funds.
Takumi rolled his eyes.
"Forget it. Let's not talk about that. Tell me about the Wind Dragon. I thought you wouldn't be back until tomorrow."
Venti grinned and replied, "I was planning to return tomorrow, but I sensed you were coming, so I used my divine power to bring everyone back quickly."
Hearing this, Takumi finally understood.
At that moment, Paimon interjected.
"Isn't that right? I thought he was up to something, but then a strong wind blew us straight back to Mondstadt! I couldn't even react before we were here!"
Hearing Paimon's complaint, Takumi sighed in exasperation.
"Alright, got it. In that case, this matter is settled. Here, take 10,000 Mora. That should be enough for a good meal. Don't ask me for money again. If you need more, come work at Guili Plains."
After handing Venti the money, Takumi stopped paying attention to him.
Venti, delighted with his newfound wealth, immediately stood up and exclaimed, "Then I'll be off~! Oh, Lumine, let's return the Holy Lyre tomorrow. See you then!"
With that, Venti quickly left.
Lumine watched the drunken bard leave, shaking her head in exasperation. She didn't dwell on it and instead hurried to catch up with Takumi.
"Mr. Takumi, please wait!"
Hearing Lumine call out to him, Takumi smirked slightly. She had caught up, just as he expected.
"Miss Lumine, is there something else?"
Paimon also looked puzzled.
Lumine hesitated for a moment before speaking.
"Mr. Takumi, you're not from this world, are you?"
As she spoke, her gaze shifted to Takumi's outfit and the vehicle behind him. The sight of the car had left her stunned. Had automobiles already been invented in this world?
Even though she had lost her memory, she still retained certain knowledge. She was familiar with Diluc's car, but seeing Takumi's vehicle and his modern-looking attire made her feel as though she had uncovered something significant.
Was Takumi also an outsider like her?
Takumi didn't hesitate to confirm it.
"Indeed, I'm not from this world."
Hearing Takumi's admission, Lumine's curiosity piqued, and her gaze became much more intent.
"Mr. Takumi, when you arrived in this world, did you meet a god with white hair?"
She wanted to see if Takumi had the same experience as her.
Seeing her eagerness, Takumi shook his head.
"No, I didn't. I arrived in Liyue and was rescued by an Adeptus. Eventually, I made a contract with the Geo Archon. I haven't encountered the white-haired god you're talking about."
Takumi wasn't particularly eager to meet that god either. If they did meet, things might get complicated.
Right now, his power wasn't driven by destruction but by elemental forces. Even if he encountered the so-called Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, he wouldn't hesitate to fight back.
At some point, he planned to visit Inazuma and seek out Yae Miko. After all, Ei's Gnosis was in her hands, and he wanted to replicate it.
Once he had three core elements under his control, he wouldn't be afraid of anyone.
Even without the power of Honkai, Takumi had no reason to back down.
If the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles saw him, she would have to reconsider her approach carefully.
Perhaps, the Heavenly Principles wouldn't even expect that a force like Honkai had already appeared in Teyvat and was quietly developing its own civilization.
Lumine looked slightly disappointed at Takumi's answer.
"I see..."
Takumi glanced at Lumine and, after a moment of thought, asked, "Do you have a place to stay tonight? Would you like to find a hotel together? If you have any questions, you can ask me anytime."
Hearing his offer, Lumine hesitated briefly before nodding.
Paimon, however, was ecstatic.
"That's great! Finally, we don't have to sleep on a bench!"
Hearing this, Lumine wanted to dig a hole and hide in it.
Why did Paimon have to say that out loud?!
Takumi raised an eyebrow but didn't overthink it.
"Alright, let's go. I'm not very familiar with Mondstadt. Do you know where the hotels are? Get in the car, I'll take you there."
With that, Takumi opened the car door and got in.
After hesitating for a moment, Lumine sat in the passenger seat. The feeling of being inside a familiar yet unfamiliar car left her with a strange sensation.
She never expected to see such technology in Teyvat.
Paimon, meanwhile, curiously examined the interior.
"This car is amazing! It looks more advanced than Diluc's! This must have cost a fortune. I wonder how much food you could buy with it..."
"You only ever think about food!" Lumine scolded.
"If you keep this up, I'll sell you!"
Takumi smirked as he listened to their banter.
Hmm, Lumine didn't seem to have fallen into despair just yet. She still seemed like a normal person.
This gave Takumi an idea.
Lumine would make an excellent assistant. If he could recruit her to work for him, it would be quite interesting.
As for her brother?
Whoever wanted to find him could go ahead.
If Lumine ever found out that her brother had become the Prince of the Abyss while she was struggling to survive, sleeping on benches and scavenging treasure chests, she might just give up searching for him altogether.
She might even stab him a few times when they met again.
