Chapter 193

Mona agreed immediately.

She even signed a contract with Takumi on the spot.

In Mona's view, she couldn't go back now, so staying was the best choice. Besides, she had seen the future—

The school that Takumi mentioned would become renowned across Teyvat. Scholars from all over the world would come to study, making it the most famous academy in all of Teyvat.

Joining now as a teacher would make her one of the founding members. Of course, Mona was eager to seize the opportunity.

Without hesitation, she agreed.

The future center of Teyvat would be Liyue, and it would rise as the intellectual capital. Though she didn't know exactly what would happen in the future or how everything would unfold, she was certain that great changes awaited Teyvat.

After finalizing the matter, it wasn't long before Xiangling brought food to the table. Everyone started eating.

Once they had eaten and were satisfied, they all went their separate ways.

Ningguang didn't leave with Takumi; instead, she turned towards the bank. Beidou, curious about it, decided to accompany her.

In the end, only Takumi, Klee, the little girls, and Mona returned to the manor.

Mona would be staying at Takumi's place temporarily until arrangements for her new residence were made the next day.

As for the duel with Klee?

Mona never mentioned it again.

Klee was too young—competing against her would be ridiculous. It would feel like bullying a child. So humiliating.

When they arrived at Takumi's manor, he directly assigned her a room. The moment Mona entered, she didn't come out again.

Takumi didn't bother checking what she was up to.

Instead, he urged the little girls to take their baths.

Not long after, Keqing and Shenhe also returned.

As soon as Keqing entered the manor, she turned to Takumi and said,

"Takumi, let's go visit the school tomorrow. Some parts of it are nearly complete. We need to see if it meets your expectations."

She had spent the whole day overseeing the construction.

Many buildings had already been completed or even fully furnished. Now, it was time for Takumi's inspection.

Hearing Keqing's words, Takumi nodded.

"No problem. I'll be there tomorrow."

The school would likely be ready for its grand opening after the Rite of Descension.

At that moment, Shenhe added,

"Master has made a flying machine. She asked for you to visit when you have time."

Hearing this, Takumi raised an eyebrow.

"She really built it?"

"Alright, I'll take a look."

Would they be testing the flight soon?

That sounded exciting.

Perhaps an airplane could be introduced into Liyue's development plans?

However, if they built an airplane, it would mostly be used for long-distance travel—perhaps to Inazuma or other distant nations.

As for the rest of Teyvat, teleportation waypoints were already more than sufficient.

Inazuma's borders were still closed.

Building an aircraft might not have much impact yet, at most, it could be used against monsters.

Takumi thought about it briefly but didn't dwell on it.

If they wanted to build it, they could.

Maybe one day they would even launch a satellite?

But thinking further, that idea was best set aside.

After all, there was someone up in the sky. No matter where they launched a satellite in Teyvat, it would never reach space. The sky itself was where divine beings resided.

At best, they could create floating stations similar to the Jade Chamber.

Satellites might not be necessary for positioning and tracking. There were alternative methods available.

As long as they had a signal, they could set up receivers in strategic locations.

The three of them sat in the courtyard and chatted for a while.

Inside the manor, the little girls had finished bathing and soon ran out to play.

After waiting for their hair to dry, they all went back to rest.

Ningguang arrived at the manor around this time.

Tonight, she would be staying here temporarily, as her own estate was not yet ready.

Seeing Ningguang's arrival, Keqing was surprised.

Why was she here?

After Takumi explained the situation, Keqing understood.

Ningguang wanted to see the battleship?

Did someone else move into the house?

After learning about Mona's situation, Keqing was speechless.

So she traveled all the way here, only to be tricked into becoming a teacher?

This astrologer seemed a little unreliable.

The next morning, Ningguang woke up early and lingered around Guiliyuan for a while before departing.

Meanwhile, Takumi, Keqing, and Shenhe headed toward the school together.

The gates of the school had been fully built. Large transport carts frequently entered and exited, carrying various construction materials.

Several buildings were already complete.

As they entered, Takumi noticed workers hauling out cages filled with jumping slimes.

After construction was complete, these fire slimes would be placed inside specific areas.

Thanks to these slimes, the building process had progressed rapidly.

Rock slimes were also being used at construction sites. Some were even painted with special coatings, causing them to spit out stones when provoked.

These stones were collected and mixed with cement for construction.

It was an efficient system.

Takumi glanced out the window, observing the workers collecting materials from the slimes.

He smirked slightly.

The slimes looked miserable, but they were too useful.

Turning his attention back to the classrooms, he examined the newly built spaces.

"Good. Next, bring in the tables, chairs, and benches."

"Beidou will help transport the furniture I ordered earlier. She brought back a lot of things this time. We can move them here first."

Everything was starting to look like a proper school.

Hearing Takumi's words, Keqing nodded.

"It's already being handled. The furniture will be stored in the warehouse upon arrival. The next step is to complete the remaining teaching buildings."

Several teams were working on different areas of the school.

The section where Takumi and his group stood was only one of the many construction sites.

The two continued their discussion as they toured the campus.

After inspecting the current site, Takumi and the others moved to different sections.

Three main gates had already been built, each leading to completed teaching facilities. Dormitories and dining halls were also nearing completion.

Everything necessary for a school was already in place.

When construction was finished, the people of Liyue would have access to the finest education in Teyvat.

In fact, just one school might not be enough.

Perhaps more schools would be built in the future.
