Yae Miko took the three letters that Beidou handed over.
Thoma, standing nearby, did not interfere.
After saying a few words, he stepped aside and instructed a servant of the Kamisato Clan to inform Lord Kamisato Ayato of Beidou's arrival.
He then began helping others unload the cargo.
Beidou's arrival had already been reported by the patrols, following standard protocol.
However, upon seeing Yae Miko, the soldiers hesitated to approach.
Many of the goods unloaded from the ship belonged to the Kamisato Clan.
What exactly was going on?
It was confusing to them.
Even stranger was Yae Miko's personal involvement.
However, Yae Miko herself did not concern herself with these matters.
She didn't care to ask or acknowledge them.
Instead, her focus was entirely on the letters she held in her hands.
After exchanging a few words with Beidou, she moved to a quiet corner and began reading.
Rather than opening Takumi's letter first, she chose to read Kamisato Ayaka's letter.
The contents described Ayaka's experiences in Liyue and the various new technologies she encountered.
Ayaka also mentioned the signal devices and mobile phones that would soon be installed in Inazuma and requested Yae Miko's assistance with their implementation.
After reading the letter, Yae Miko nodded.
Not bad.
It seemed the outside world was truly undergoing significant changes.
She then proceeded to read Gan Yu's letter.
Gan Yu's message was mostly polite greetings, along with an invitation for Yae Miko to visit Liyue.
It had been centuries since they last saw each other, and she expressed how much she missed her old friend.
For those unfamiliar with adepti and yokai, the wording of the letter might have seemed shocking.
This letter openly revealed their age.
Reading Gan Yu's words, Yae Miko's lips curled into a slight smile.
Her mood visibly improved.
"Sister Gan Yu is still as gentle as ever."
She mused aloud.
It was time to get her phone number.
Ayaka had thoughtfully sent her a mobile phone, so she might as well make use of it.
With that in mind, Yae Miko finally turned her attention to Takumi's letter.
She was curious.
Why had someone she had never met written to her?
Her curiosity grew as she read the first part of the letter.
It began with pleasantries, followed by what she initially deemed meaningless chatter.
Some of the words even made her frown in annoyance.
Was this all?
Had he really written just to say these things?
But as she continued reading, she realized the true content lay further down.
Her expression gradually turned serious.
By the time she reached the end, her face had completely changed.
Shock filled her eyes as she tightly gripped the letter.
"Resurrection... is this real?"
"How does he know so much?"
These were the real matters at hand.
What Takumi revealed left her stunned.
If what he wrote was true...
No matter what the cost, she would do it.
As she reread the letter, a strange thought crept into her mind.
Why did this feel so deliberate?
As if she were being led down a specific path?
She frowned but did not dwell on it.
For now, she needed time to process everything.
She carefully stored the letters away before addressing Beidou.
"Miss Beidou, I have received the letters."
"Thank you for delivering them."
"I have some matters to attend to, so I won't be able to entertain you today."
"When you have time, come visit the Grand Narukami Shrine. I'll treat you well."
She then turned to Thoma.
"Thoma!"
"Send some of the items your lady sent back to me later."
Before anyone could respond, Yae Miko transformed into a bolt of lightning and vanished.
Beidou watched in confusion.
What just happened?
Why had Yae Miko's expression changed so drastically after reading Takumi's letter?
And why had she left in such a hurry?
What exactly had Takumi written?
Could he have done something to jeopardize diplomatic relations between Liyue and Inazuma?
Didn't he understand the importance of international stability?
Beidou could only sigh in frustration.
Meanwhile, Thoma, though equally curious, didn't dwell on it.
This was Yae Miko's business.
He was just a retainer.
All he needed to do was carry out Kamisato Ayaka's orders.
Yae Miko arrived at the Grand Narukami Shrine and immediately locked herself in her room.
She reread Takumi's letter over and over again.
"Can it really be done? Can resurrection really be possible?"
Her usually calm demeanor was gone.
Her tail swayed anxiously, betraying her emotions.
She was nervous.
Should she inform Ei?
But upon further thought, she decided against it.
If she told Ei now, her reaction would be predictable.
She would likely storm into Liyue immediately, demand answers from Takumi, or worse, take him by force.
That could cause an unnecessary confrontation with Morax.
If Ei truly believed resurrection was possible, she wouldn't hesitate to challenge the heavens themselves.
She wasn't one to shy away from using force.
And if it was about Raiden Makoto...
Even Celestia wouldn't stop her.
Mulling over her options, Yae Miko decided on her course of action.
Once the phone system was up and running, she would contact Kamisato Ayaka and have her arrange a meeting with Takumi.
If what he said was true, then no matter the cost, she would ensure Makoto's resurrection.
At the same time, she found herself questioning Takumi's motives.
Why had he told her this?
What was his true goal?
For a long time, Yae Miko sat in silence, lost in thought.
Meanwhile, back in Liyue, Takumi was oblivious to all of this.
More than half a month had passed, and he had already completed assembling several fleets.
The remaining parts were prepared and ready for assembly.
Soon, the ships would be launched.
That morning, Takumi handed Jiang Ji the blueprints for several civilian ships.
With the frigates almost complete, it was time to start on Beidou's warship.
And Diluc's ship as well.
Takumi hadn't forgotten about that.
After all, Diluc had already paid a deposit.
Jiang Ji studied the new blueprint and was momentarily confused.
"Is this a cargo ship?"
"Master Takumi, are we producing these next?"
The ship was enormous.
Takumi nodded.
"That's right."
"Start by producing the necessary parts."
"Oh, and also assemble these."
He handed over another blueprint.
"Fishing boats?"
Jiang Ji looked over the new designs.
Takumi smirked.
"Yep. Liyue needs more than just warships, after all."
