Ei and Yae Miko watched as Venti walked away, both speechless.
"This guy really hasn't changed at all," Ei muttered as she withdrew her gaze.
She didn't dwell on it much. After thousands of years, Venti was still the same—an alcoholic through and through.
"Oh~!" Yae Miko teased. "Isn't this your idea of eternity? Set in stone?"
Ei ignored her and continued strolling through the city.
The sight before her was astonishing—this city had been created by Takumi. If she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn't have believed the vast difference between Liyue and Inazuma.
The Liyue of today was nothing like the one she had in her memory.
Yae Miko noticed Ei's expression and chuckled before following along. Soon, they were joined by Lumine as they continued their exploration.
Meanwhile, Takumi had completed the new system. With the power of the Herrscher of Reason, he had effortlessly constructed several key infrastructures. Now, it was time for testing.
Gan Yu, Ningguang, and Keqing had gathered in Takumi's office, watching as a form appeared on his computer screen.
"So, we just enter the information here and save it?" Ningguang asked curiously.
Takumi shook his head. "No, it's not that simple. The database is currently empty. The next step is to input all the existing household registration information. Then, we will update it accordingly."
As he spoke, Takumi demonstrated by entering his own information.
"Alright, the update process works like this," he explained. "Once the data is entered, updating it becomes straightforward."
He pointed to the screen. "Confirm the name, gender, date of birth, and registered address."
The others leaned in to look at the example on the screen:
Name: Takumi
Sex: Male
Birthday: XX
Household Registration: No. 6, Mingyun Village, Liyue Guili
Seeing the template, they nodded in understanding.
"This is the ID card template. The blank space is where the photo will be placed."
Takumi then performed another operation, and the next moment, his avatar appeared on the ID card. All information was uploaded and updated with a single click.
"Once the data is verified, the ID card is ready for production. It's a simple process."
He brought out a machine loaded with blank cards. Each card contained a special embedded chip for security purposes.
In front of them, Takumi completed the final steps of ID production. A few minutes later, a brand-new ID card appeared in his hands, complete with his fingerprints and registered details.
Seeing this, everyone understood the system.
"Make me an ID card too," Ningguang requested.
Takumi nodded and began entering her details. After a quick photo capture and fingerprint registration, Ningguang soon held her own ID card.
Examining the card, she nodded in satisfaction. "Good! With this, verifying identities will be much simpler. No more tedious paperwork."
"If this works well, let's implement it across Liyue. Gather all household registration information and start issuing new ID cards," she declared.
Gan Yu nodded. "We should bring these machines to Liyue Harbor first and train personnel on how to operate them. The household registration information must be entered before issuing new IDs."
Takumi agreed. "I'll provide the necessary equipment, including scanners. Just place any document on the scanner, and it will transfer the data to the system, speeding up the process."
"Once ID issuance is complete, I'll enable real-name authentication for online services."
Then, with a smirk, he added, "If possible, we should introduce this system to Mondstadt and Inazuma as well."
Hearing this, Ningguang raised an eyebrow. "Are you suggesting we create a database for Mondstadt too? Or store their citizens' information here?"
If that were the case, Jean would certainly not agree. It would almost seem like Liyue was taking over.
Takumi shook his head. "Not at all. You can simply ask if they want such a system. If they do, I can help them build one with a separate server."
Each nation could have its own independent network—Takumi had no interest in centralized control.
Ningguang studied him for a moment before responding, "We'll discuss this later. Let's focus on implementing it in Liyue first."
Takumi shrugged. "Alright, I'll get the machines set up for you. You just need to transport them to Liyue Harbor."
"At Qingce Village, be sure to provide mobile stations for the elderly and children so they don't have to travel far," he added.
Ningguang had no objections—this was indeed necessary.
With the preparations finalized, Takumi stepped outside to set up the equipment.
Meanwhile, Keqing and Gan Yu wasted no time—they began registering themselves to get their own ID cards.
The system was finally coming to life.
