Kaeya had already prepared the money. Seeing Takumi stretch out his hand, he didn't hesitate and immediately took out his phone.
"Come on, let's scan it!"
The online transfer system launched by Takumi was truly convenient, especially after linking it with Liyue Bank. Kaeya had grown fond of digital transactions. Being someone who kept up with trends, he genuinely appreciated the convenience of Liyue's technological advancements.
When Takumi saw Kaeya take out his phone, he smirked internally. "Good guy, you're always prepared."
Without hesitation, Takumi displayed his payment code, allowing Kaeya to scan it. Kaeya quickly completed the transaction, transferring 1,000,000 Mora.
"I'll get it for you when we step out later," Takumi said, satisfied with the transaction.
At that moment, Lisa approached with a smile. "Me too. Would it be possible for me to get one as well?"
Miss Witch seemed quite interested. She had examined the cars owned by Barbara and Amber and found them fascinating. The level of technology involved even bore some resemblance to Khaenri'ah's inventions. If one didn't know better, they might assume these vehicles were of Khaenri'ah origin rather than Takumi's creation.
Seeing Lisa's interest, Takumi nodded. "For Miss Lisa, I'll give a 10% discount."
Lisa's smile grew even brighter. "Then I'll take ten. Thank you."
Without hesitation, she transferred several million Mora to Takumi. Saving a million Mora made her quite pleased.
Of course, these cars weren't all for Lisa herself. Jean wanted one, and she also planned to gift a few to other members of the Knights, including Rosaria. Mondstadt had many individuals with Visions, and the vehicles would undoubtedly be useful to them.
Takumi sighed. "Good grief, you're quite the smart one."
Still, he had no reason to refuse. The deal was set. He would deliver their vehicles after they wrapped up business here.
While Jean and Keqing continued their discussion for nearly an hour, Takumi finalized all transactions. After everything was confirmed, he and Keqing prepared to leave and explore Mondstadt.
Jean accompanied them outside as they departed. Before leaving, Takumi fulfilled Lisa and Kaeya's orders, delivering their vehicles. Additionally, he provided Barbara with all the necessary equipment for setting up the television station. From then on, it was up to Barbara to handle the setup.
Aside from establishing the household registration system, Takumi planned to construct a dedicated server system for Mondstadt.
Before leaving, he suddenly remembered something and handed Lisa a few books. "Miss Lisa, you might find these interesting. They're programming books about network systems."
Lisa's eyes sparkled as she accepted them. "Programming? I've read a bit about the basics. There's a forum where many people discuss it. Quite a few Mondstadt alchemists even traveled to Liyue to purchase books like these. I had planned to ask Amber to bring me a few copies, but it looks like that won't be necessary anymore."
She was delighted. Her interest in programming was genuine, and having knowledgeable people in Mondstadt would be beneficial for the city's future.
Takumi nodded. "The vehicles arriving later also carry a supply of these books. If possible, I hope Mondstadt's alchemists will take the opportunity to learn programming. As technology advances, many upcoming developments will rely on network systems. It's best to get ahead now."
"Even if your people master programming, developing a secure household registration system is another matter. The system I build won't have vulnerabilities and will be impossible to hack. Security is my top priority."
Hearing this, the group nodded in agreement.
After wrapping up discussions with Jean and the others, Takumi and Keqing set off to explore Mondstadt. They spent time visiting Windrise, admiring the wind-powered generators and grazing livestock in the meadows. They also traveled to Starsnatch Cliff at night, enjoying the breathtaking view of Mondstadt's starlit sky.
Over two days, their bond grew even closer as they explored Mondstadt. However, soon enough, the equipment for the new systems arrived, and Takumi got to work.
Jean had arranged for the servers to be placed in the basement of the Church of Favonius.
"You're setting up the servers in the church? Are you sure that's a good idea?" Takumi asked, slightly puzzled.
Jean nodded. "Yes, I even consulted Barbatos about it. He had no objections. In fact, he suggested the household registration records be stored in the church, as they are vital to Mondstadt's people. The church's basement is highly secure, making it an ideal location."
Takumi was speechless for a moment. "Secure? Oh, if only you knew how easily certain people could waltz in."
Still, he didn't argue. If that was Mondstadt's decision, he would follow through. The church's basement was indeed spacious, with an unused lower level that was perfect for setting up the servers. It was an ideal location to store Mondstadt's household records.
The servers had been built in Mondstadt and upgraded by Albedo, with expanded memory to store all resident information. If additional storage was ever required, they could apply for remote access to Liyue's systems, where data could be stored in the Heart of God's secure database.
Takumi introduced these options to Jean, explaining that Mondstadt could integrate with Liyue's systems for enhanced security and data management.
With everything progressing smoothly, Mondstadt's technological advancements were about to take a huge leap forward.
