Yae Miko was puzzled.
Why had Takumi suddenly decided to establish a medicine garden?
And more importantly, how was it decided at noon and completed by the afternoon?
"What medicinal plants are you planning to grow?" she asked.
It wasn't just Yae Miko who was curious; even Ayaka Kamisato was intrigued.
Seeing their curious expressions, Takumi didn't hesitate to explain.
"A new medicine," he said. "It's specially formulated for colds. Sucrose just completed the research today, so we need to cultivate a large supply."
There was nothing to hide about it.
Takumi also revealed his future plans.
"Besides cold medicine, we're also developing treatments for minor ailments. We'll definitely need more space to grow these ingredients in the future. That's why we started early. Colds and fevers are common illnesses, and daily medications like these should be produced on a large scale. It's best to prepare in advance."
Hearing this, Yae Miko and Ayaka Kamisato nodded in understanding.
"No wonder you're taking this so seriously," Yae Miko remarked. "I see now."
After discussing for a while, Noelle called everyone to eat.
The next day, Takumi sought out Sucrose and informed her about the developments in Luhua Pool.
Learning that Takumi had already set up the planting base, Sucrose's eyes lit up.
"Then let's hurry over!" she said excitedly.
Had the planting base been prepared so quickly? This was great news!
Sucrose could hardly wait.
"Pack up, and we'll head over soon," Takumi instructed. "Keqing will arrange for some helpers. From now on, you'll be in charge."
Sucrose nodded eagerly. Having a spacious place for experiments was a dream come true for her.
As long as there was food and drink, she didn't care about much else. Shopping and leisure activities never interested her—scientific research was her passion.
After quickly gathering her things, Sucrose set off with Takumi toward Luhua Pool.
Traveling there by bike didn't take long, and once a proper road was built, it would be even more convenient.
Upon arrival, Sucrose was delighted by the scenery.
The environment was peaceful, an ideal setting for research.
Takumi led Sucrose to the house prepared for her.
"This is your laboratory," he said. "If you need anything, just let me know. The power station isn't far from here. Below it is the Blazing Heart Tree. If you're interested, you can check it out later, but researching it might be a bit tricky. I've built a power station on it, and it will continuously supply hot water for 24 hours.
"I've already set up all necessary living facilities for you. Keqing is arranging for additional personnel, so it won't be long before more people arrive. For now, you can focus on cultivating your seeds. Helpers will assist with the planting later."
Hearing this, Sucrose nodded excitedly. "Got it!"
After settling Sucrose in, Takumi helped her unpack.
Meanwhile, Sucrose explored her new living space. When she opened her window, she saw Luhua Pool stretching below—a breathtaking view.
Looking at her surroundings, Sucrose felt even more satisfied.
Once she was settled, Sucrose joined Takumi in touring the newly established medicine garden.
"The temperature here can be adjusted as needed," Takumi explained. "You can set the optimal temperature for different plants. Watering is also fully automated—just flip this switch."
Takumi demonstrated the watering system.
As soon as he activated the switch, pipes on the roof sprayed water drawn from Luhua Pool.
Sucrose's eyes lit up. "This is amazing!"
With this setup, growing various plants would be much easier. Some medicinal plants required specific environmental conditions, and now those could be controlled precisely.
After familiarizing herself with the area, Sucrose quickly became comfortable with her new surroundings.
Just as Takumi finished setting everything up, Keqing arrived.
She descended from the sky and surveyed the area before addressing Takumi.
"Takumi," she said. "Are we building a road from Jueyun Karst to here? Won't that be too roundabout?"
She pointed out the issue.
"The people we arranged are already on their way, but there's no direct road yet, so it's slowing them down. Wouldn't it be better to build a bridge from Guiliyuan to Luhua Pool? That would be much faster."
Hearing her suggestion, Takumi considered it and nodded.
"That's a good idea," he admitted. "But we still need to fix the road through Jueyun Karst. If we build a bridge, this area might develop further in the future. It's worth doing."
"Alright, I'll build a bridge later. It will make transportation much more convenient."
Takumi acknowledged that his initial route wasn't the most efficient.
When he traveled here, he flew over, so he hadn't thought about road connectivity.
Building a bridge from Cuijue Slope to Guiliyuan would save a lot of time.
Since he could modify the terrain himself, constructing a bridge wouldn't cost a single Mora.
Without hesitation, Takumi made his decision.
Seeing him take action, Keqing nodded.
"Then go ahead," she said. "There may be a few tricky spots, but for you, it won't be a problem."
Some parts of the terrain might be challenging, but nothing Takumi couldn't handle.
Takumi nodded.
Indeed, some leveling work was necessary.
He had already reshaped parts of the land when establishing the medicine garden.
After all, in the original landscape, there were rocks everywhere—no place for a proper house or garden.
So, he had adjusted it accordingly.
And now, he would do the same for the bridge.
