Takumi took care of the matters at hand and then headed towards to herb growing area.
He wanted to check on the progress of the medicinal seeds that Sucrose had acquired. Had they been planted successfully?
Upon arrival, he saw many people busy at work, constantly moving in and out, transporting seeds from Sucrose's laboratory and planting them in the medicine garden. Everything seemed to be progressing smoothly.
Takumi found Sucrose in the middle of an experiment. She had successfully cultivated medicinal seeds for treating colds and was now working on developing new medicines. However, she had not yet perfected the antipyretic formula. The previous fever-reducing medicine had been turned into a beverage, and now Diluc had requested her assistance with cultivating new seeds.
She planned to cultivate the frost snowflake plants she had been researching on a larger scale.
"Sucrose," Takumi called out. "How's everything going?"
Sucrose, startled by his sudden voice, nearly jumped. "Huh~~! You scared me! Takumi, please don't just barge in suddenly!"
Seeing her reaction, Takumi felt slightly embarrassed. "Sorry for scaring you."
Sucrose sighed, setting down her equipment before giving him a report on her current progress.
"The medicinal seeds have already been planted," she informed him. "If everything goes well, they will be ready for harvest in about a month. These herbs grow very fast."
Hearing this, Takumi's eyes lit up. "A month? That's great. If we plant in large quantities, we can begin exporting the medicine soon."
Satisfied, Takumi nodded. "Good work, Sucrose. Thank you."
Sucrose, however, wasn't finished. She continued explaining her current research situation and then made a request.
"If I had more advanced equipment from Sumeru," she said, "I could speed up my research considerably."
She wasn't shy about asking for what she needed.
Much of her current equipment was either made in Mondstadt or crafted by Albedo. While suitable for basic experiments, there were still limitations.
Takumi listened carefully and immediately agreed. "Alright, I'll have someone prepare the equipment for you."
Sucrose's eyes brightened. "Really? That's great! Actually, if Albedo's instruments could be upgraded, they'd still be quite useful. But Albedo is too busy right now."
Hearing this, Takumi paused. "Upgraded? So the equipment could still be used if it were improved? No need to buy new ones?"
If that was the case, he could handle it himself.
Sucrose nodded eagerly. "Yes! With an upgrade, they would work perfectly!"
As soon as she said this, she suddenly remembered that Albedo had once told her: if there was anything she didn't understand, she should ask Takumi—he would be able to help, even with upgrades.
Now, Sucrose looked at Takumi with sparkling eyes. "Takumi, can you help upgrade the equipment? If you can, then we won't need to buy new ones."
Takumi smiled and nodded. "If an upgrade is all it takes, then sure. I'll help."
He approached the instruments and began studying them. Upgrading them seemed like a straightforward task.
With the power of the Herrscher of Reason, Takumi quickly analyzed the mechanisms and understood exactly what needed to be done.
Without hesitation, he started enhancing the equipment, making them more refined and efficient.
When Sucrose saw the modified instruments, her eyes widened with excitement. "!! Let me see!"
She rushed forward and carefully examined the upgraded equipment.
The design remained the same, but using it felt like an entirely new experience.
"This feels even better than the technology from Sumeru!" she exclaimed, completely immersed in studying the new modifications.
Seeing her reaction, Takumi shook his head and left her to her work. There was no need to disturb her any further.
He wandered around, checking on the medicinal gardens he had built.
The land had already been plowed and was ready for sowing. Some vegetable seedlings had also been planted.
It was evident that Keqing had conveyed Takumi's ideas to the workers, and they had begun implementing them.
On the other side, a pharmaceutical factory was under construction. It wouldn't be long before everything was fully operational.
After observing for a while, Takumi felt reassured. Everything was progressing smoothly, and he didn't need to interfere.
Satisfied, he left and returned to Guili Plains.
At Liyue's harbor, the scene was bustling with activity.
The Dawn was now fully loaded with containers, preparing for its maiden voyage.
At the dock, Eula, Amber, and others were present.
The ship was carrying a large shipment of Diluc's beverages, but since the vessel was massive, there was still plenty of empty cargo space.
Because of this, Diluc had agreed to transport additional goods for Mondstadt's merchants.
Over the past few days, with the help of Eula and Amber, all logistics had been sorted.
After checking the schedule and ensuring everything was in order, Diluc turned to Kaeya. "If you're ready, you can set sail. The ship's energy has been replenished. You can depart anytime."
Liyue's harbor was equipped with elemental replenishment stations, which Keqing had designed long ago to assist in refueling ships.
Diluc had spent a considerable sum to fill the ship's energy reserves. Now, everything was ready for departure.
Kaeya smirked and nodded. "No problem! The captain is setting sail now."
Then, with a teasing grin, he added, "Remember what you promised me."
Hearing this, Diluc sighed. This guy had only been in Guili Plains for a few days but had already set his sights on a villa.
Kaeya had shamelessly claimed, "Since I helped you, as my dear brother, shouldn't you buy me a house? And don't forget my salary!"
Diluc had been speechless but had ultimately agreed. "Fine. If you want it, I'll give it to you."
For Diluc, spending tens of millions on a villa wasn't a big deal.
So, he had the property purchased and even arranged for it to be furnished while Kaeya was away at sea.
Once Kaeya returned, he could move in immediately.
