The Hell Wolf

Clash with the Monster

The deep silence of the forest was shattered by Vihan's harsh voice. "Be alert, something is coming," he said to his companions in the dense darkness. There was a seriousness in Vihan's voice that was necessary for them to face the dangers of this forest.

Everyone immediately took their positions. Aarav gripped his katana properly, Rudra lowered the tip of his spear and dragged it to sharpen the edge. Vihan checked the blades of his daggers and stood poised with them. He signaled his team to move forward. He knew the monster's attack was close.

This forest was not quiet from any direction. Suddenly, the roar of the monster echoed, and all three felt their hearts race. It was the sound of a gigantic creature, ready to devour anything in the forest.

Vihan moved everyone aside. "Listen," he spoke gravely, "All the challenges we have faced until now were nothing. This forest and its monster are something else." He took a deep breath and added, "In every situation, stay strong and alert. That's the way we'll survive."

Rudra's First Strike

As soon as Vihan finished speaking, Rudra's eyes gleamed, and he lifted his spear with full force. "Now, it's my turn," he said, and without further words, he began moving toward the monster.

The monster was now visible. Its enormous size, waving hair, and sharp claws made it even more terrifying. Its eyes glowed like burning embers. It moved slowly toward Rudra, and with each step, the fear grew.

Rudra raised his spear with full strength and struck at the monster's head. The spear sank deep into its forehead, and blood began to spill. The monster's roar sounded like a massive storm inside the forest.

But the monster wasn't about to give up. It attempted to grab Rudra with its claws and gave him a powerful jerk. Rudra felt the blow and crashed into a tree. Blood poured from his mouth, and his breaths became shallow.

Aarav's Fear and Vihan's Courage

Meanwhile, the monster's gaze fixed on Aarav. It glared at him with malice as it approached. Aarav gathered all his strength, but fear seized his body. His hands trembled, and the katana slipped from his grasp, falling to the ground. His entire body was shaking, and he could barely move his feet.

The monster continued to approach, staring at him with its bloodshot eyes. Aarav's heart raced faster, and he stood still, helplessly watching the monster move closer. The only thought in his mind was, "Will I survive this?"

Suddenly, Vihan leaped in front of Aarav, shielding him from the monster's claws. He stood firm and shouted angrily, "If you want to survive, you need to show your strength. Fear will never win; it's your inner courage that will help you. Now get up, and pick up your weapon!"

Aarav, still trembling, grabbed his katana again. He was frightened, but Vihan's words gave him courage. Slowly, he rose to his feet and tried to conquer his fear.

The Final Strike and Victory

Now the monster was completely enraged. Vihan readied his daggers once more and began deflecting the monster's attacks. He skillfully blocked each strike, but his daggers were beginning to break. However, his speed and technique showed no sign of slowing down.

In the meantime, Rudra, enduring the pain, tried to rise from his position. With all his might, he hurled his spear at the monster. This time, the spear plunged deep into the monster's skull. Blood gushed out, and with a deafening roar, the creature stumbled and began to fall.

Aarav saw that the monster was now weakened, and seized the opportunity to strike. He swung his katana with all his strength at the monster's head. The blade cut through, and the monster's skull was cleaved in two. The creature's life ended, and it fell to the ground.

Victory Notification

A notification appeared before Aarav's eyes: [Notification: Grade-1, Rare Hell Wolf Defeated] You have received: Rare Grade-1 Soul Reaper Full Suit Armor You can consume the monster's flesh and collect its genes.

But Aarav paid no attention to the reward. His greatest concern was Rudra. He immediately ran to Rudra and asked, "Rudra! Are you okay?"

Rudra nodded and smiled faintly, "I'm fine, just a little tired." He was trying to get up slowly.

Vihan came over and quietly asked, "Did you sustain any serious injuries?"

Rudra smiled lightly and replied, "No, I'm fine. Just need some rest." Then, he looked at Aarav and smiled, "You did well. I didn't think you had it in you."

Aarav lowered his head in surprise. "I didn't think so either."

Vihan let out a loud laugh. He was thoroughly enjoying the moment. "It was fun, wasn't it?" Then, he laughed some more and said, "Na na na na na~"

Even amidst a struggle between life and death, Vihan managed to find humor in the situation.

Seeking Shelter

Rudra groaned as he tried to push himself off the ground. "We should find a safe place to spend the night. It's getting dark, and we need wood too."

Vihan nodded and said, "You're right. We shouldn't stay out in the open. No one knows what else this forest might hold."

Aarav glanced at the lifeless body of the Hell Wolf and then at his system notification again. The reward, his new armor, his increased strength... but at that moment, none of those things mattered more than finding a safe place to spend the night.

He took a deep breath and said, "Let's find a safe place. We need to be ready for whatever comes next."

The three of them gathered their remaining strength and ventured deeper into the forest, unaware that an even greater danger awaited them.
