After stepping off the plane, the first call I received was unexpectedly from Levi.
"Hello? Vivienne, want to hang out today?"
"I can't, Levi. I've already returned home."
I paused for a moment before adding, "I've accepted our advisor's offer to study abroad."
"Really? That's fantastic!"
......
Levi and I chatted for a long time about my research plans abroad and our aspirations for the future.
When I hung up, I felt a lingering sense of attachment.
It had been so long since I'd had such a relaxed conversation with someone.
In the past, I always focused all my energy on Nash and my mother-in-law, losing myself in the process.
I even considered giving up the studies I'd persevered with for so long to have a baby with Nash.
Thankfully, I found my way back before it was too late.
I quickly sold the house I shared with Nash and liquidated everything I could.
Then I bought a ticket for that same day and flew to Australia in a hurry.
