One week later, Nash was thrown behind bars.

On the police car surrounded by layers of neighbors, he sat silently with his head bowed, handcuffs on his wrists.

"That backstabbing snake! He got what he deserved!"

"What was he thinking? Vivienne treated him so well, and he still cheated!"

"Just a piece of trash! Thinking the grass is greener on the other side. Shame on him!"

The insults poured down like rain. Even my mother, who had always stood by him, remained completely silent this time.

Standing on the balcony, I held Levi's hand as I coldly watched everything unfold below.

Levi was worried I might be upset, but in reality, any feelings I had were worn away during the past days.

Now Nash was nothing more than a vaguely familiar stranger to me.

For the rest of my life, I only want to be with those who truly love me.

Thinking this, I leaned my head dependently on Levi's shoulder.
