The four of them returned to their room, and Sakura handed Jason a handgun. This was the first time Jason had held a real gun, and he was overwhelmed with excitement.
The heavy, cold metal, the image of a black rose engraved on the gun's body, and a faint scent lingering on it... everything felt surreal.
"This was custom-made for me by a German master. Since it was created, you're the first person to touch it besides me. Cherish it, and remember to return it when you get your own gun," Sakura said, her hand teasingly brushing over Jason's body, sending chills down his spine.
"Wow! This is awesome! Sakura, can you teach me how to use it?" Jason asked, captivated by the fine craftsmanship of the handgun.
"What's the rush? I'm a little tired. How about you massage my legs first, and I'll teach you afterward?" Sakura said, pretending to be exhausted as she lay on the bed.
"Wow, Jason, this is too much! You get both the beautiful woman and the gun! I suddenly feel a little jealous!" Simon said, drooling from the side.
"Want to give it a try? Go ahead," Jason shrugged, offering.
Simon looked at Sakura lying on the bed, remembering how close he came to getting hurt. He immediately shook his head like a rattle.
"Uh-uh, I'll pass. I'll go find Hank. I'm afraid Sakura would shoot me on the spot this time," Simon said, sneaking over to Hank.
After Simon left, Jason walked up to Sakura.
"Sakura, can I start now?" Jason asked, confirming.
"Mm-hmm," Sakura replied with her eyes closed.
This was the closest Jason had ever been to Sakura. Through her black stockings, he could faintly see the many scars on her legs—both large and small. Women naturally care about their appearance. Could she really not care at all?
"What are you staring at? Get on with it," Sakura gently kicked Jason, who was lost in thought.
"Ah, right!" Jason quickly snapped out of it and continued massaging her legs.
After Jason finished massaging Sakura's legs and feet, she began to teach him. She explained how to properly hold the handgun, how to disassemble and reload it, aiming techniques, and how to control the trigger.
Jason listened intently, absorbing every word.
"That's about all for the handgun. You need to gain experience from actual practice. There's a shooting range here, so you can give it a try. But be mindful of the ammo—I didn't bring much," Sakura said as she handed the handgun to Jason.
"Simon, how's it going?" Jason asked as he walked over to Simon.
"All good. Hank explained it in a way that was both professional and easy to understand," Simon replied excitedly.
"Great, let's head to the shooting range and see what the real combat feels like," Jason said.
"Got it, Captain!" Simon said.
"Alright, everyone, rest for 6 hours. Afterward, we'll train together," Jason said, turning off the lights in the room.
September 17, 2025 - Heavy Fog
Jason suddenly woke up from a nightmare. In his dream, a bloodied person attacked him. No, to be more accurate, it was a zombie! It pounced on him and bit into his neck.
In the darkness, Jason felt around for his phone in his backpack. Checking the date and time, it was now 10:00 AM on the 17th.
Jason had long lost track of time. In this place, day and night were only defined by the lights.
His phone had no signal here and could only be used for note-taking and photos.
Jason lay in bed for a while, then turned on the room's lights.
"Everyone, get up. Time to train," Jason said.
When everyone got up, the four of them gathered in the training hall again.
Jason and Simon were headed to the shooting range, while Sakura and Hank were on their own. After all, Jason couldn't teach them anything.
Before leaving, Sakura handed Jason a hundred bullets!
Jason looked at the ammo Sakura gave him. Was this really "not much" as she said?
At the shooting range, Jason held the handgun Sakura gave him. This handgun used the most common 9mm rounds, and the magazine could hold a maximum of 9 bullets.
His goal was to shoot through all 100 rounds.
Click. Jason pulled out the gun and checked if the bullets were loaded. He then released the safety.
Bang!
Jason fired his first real shot.
Sakura's gun, though small and delicate, had more power than he expected. The powerful recoil made his palms feel numb.
He missed. His first shot didn't hit the target.
Although he missed, Jason still felt the excitement. This was the kind of thing every man should experience. His first shot made him addicted.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Jason fired several more rounds, gradually finding his rhythm. After a few more shots, he hit the target's stomach and arm.
Jason removed the magazine and loaded each round one by one.
"So, Simon, how's my shooting?" Jason turned to Simon, only to notice Simon's target had multiple bullet holes in the head and chest. Jason immediately felt embarrassed.
"Simon, your shooting is impressive! Have you practiced before?" Jason asked, noticing Simon's smooth movements.
"Yeah, when I was younger, I loved guns and bought a lot of replica ones to practice with. The feel is pretty much the same," Simon said, raising his gun and firing a few more rounds. Jason watched as Simon shot with one hand, almost as if the recoil didn't exist for him.
