Chapter 12

Dominic smirked coldly upon hearing the man's statement in front of him. "Good."

Amelia looked at Dominic with a meaningful gaze. To her, this was not just an ordinary battle—it was a war they had to win to save the world from the growing destruction caused by Victor, who only cared about his own satisfaction and that of his network.

Armed with the new information they had just obtained, they finally discovered that Victor was planning to escape using his private jet. This was their last chance to end this fight before it became too late and even harder to resolve.

"I want to end him with my own hands," Dominic said in a low voice.

Amelia, hearing this, looked at him sharply. She knew how deep the wounds Victor had left in Dominic's life were. But she also didn't want Dominic to face this dangerous situation alone.

"No," she decided firmly. "We'll do this together," Amelia reassured him. Dominic stared at her for a long moment before finally nodding in agreement.

Dante approached after ensuring Victor's men were neutralized. His face was tense but still full of confidence. "We don't have much time," he said. "If Victor is really planning to escape, we need to act fast before he disappears without a trace."

Rebecca, who had been busy writing down every detail in her small notebook, suddenly looked up. "I can find out the flight route of Victor's private jet," she said. "But I need access to some information networks that might only be available to insiders."

Marco, who had been silently listening, smirked slightly. "Leave that to me. I have some connections who can dig deeper into what you need. Give me an hour, and I'll get the data we need."

Dominic nodded. "Good, Marco. In the meantime, Dante, make sure our men are ready for this attack. Don't forget to prepare weapons and security measures. As soon as we know the exact departure location of Victor's private jet, we must move quickly."

Amelia took a deep breath. "Victor must have prepared everything. He probably already suspected we'd do this. This won't be easy—we need to be cautious and have a backup plan."

"Nothing is easy in this war," Dominic replied. "But we've come too far to turn back now. This is our last chance to end all the chaos he has created."

Rebecca looked at Dominic with a hint of doubt in her eyes. "Are you sure you can guarantee everyone's safety?"

Dominic returned her gaze sharply. "I can't promise a miracle, Rebecca. But I swear, I'll do everything to make sure we all come out of this war victorious."

With determination burning in their chests, they began strategizing to intercept Victor's escape before it was too late. Time was slipping away quickly, and they had to act fast before their enemy vanished into thin air.

An hour later, Marco returned to them with a serious expression. "I have bad news. Victor isn't just planning to escape—he's also set a trap at the hangar where his private jet is. He already knows we're coming and has anticipated it all."

Dante cursed under his breath. "Damn it! We can't just rush in without careful preparation. If we do, we'll be walking straight into his trap and handing ourselves over to him."

Amelia clenched her fists, her emotions boiling. "We have to outthink Victor. If he has set a trap for us, then we need to prepare an alternative plan."

Dominic smirked slightly. "We won't enter through the main route of that hangar. Rebecca, find out if there's an alternative route to the hangar and determine the fastest way in. Dante, prepare another team to infiltrate from two different directions. We'll make Victor think we're coming from one side while our main team attacks from the opposite direction. That will make it harder for Victor to handle our presence."

Marco nodded in agreement. "Alright, I'll contact my insider to get a map of the hangar. If there's another way in, we can use it to deceive him."

With a new plan taking shape, they prepared for their final battle. Their success depended on the right strategy and perfect execution. There was no room for even the smallest mistake.

That night, they moved in the darkness, each team infiltrating the hangar area without drawing attention. Rebecca, who had gained access to the security system, attempted to disable the surveillance cameras to give them a safe path.

"Team one, move in from the east," Dominic whispered through the communication device in his hand. "Team two, get into position on the west side. We capture him before he gets on his private jet."

Dante and Marco led their respective teams, creeping closer to the hangar with their weapons and equipment at the ready. Amelia and Rebecca remained at the monitoring post, watching Victor's every move along with his men and reporting them to Dominic.

When Victor finally appeared in the hangar, he was surrounded by several guards who were alert to protect him. But Dominic signaled, "Now!"

A small explosion echoed from the other side of the hangar, successfully diverting the attention of Victor's guards. Within seconds, Dominic's team stormed in, igniting a fierce battle to capture their greatest enemy before it was too late.

Gunfire rang throughout the hangar. Muzzle flashes lit up the darkness, casting flickering shadows among the cargo and Victor's private jet.

Dominic moved swiftly, dodging several bullets whizzing past him before aiming at one of Victor's guards and shooting with precise accuracy. Within seconds, the man's body collapsed instantly.

Dante remained vigilant, covering their backs to ensure their path remained secure. "We have to get to Victor now!" he shouted.

Elsewhere, Marco was engaged in hand-to-hand combat with one of Victor's guards who had spotted them. Punches and kicks flew back and forth, the sound of bone-crunching impacts echoing through the chaos. But with a swift move, Marco took down his opponent and ran toward Victor's jet after making sure his enemy was no longer a threat.

Amelia continued working on disabling the jet's security system to prevent Victor from escaping. "Just a little more..." she muttered, her fingers swiftly dancing over the electronic device.

Rebecca hid behind a cargo crate, her breathing heavy after sprinting to avoid enemy sight. Her eyes closely watched Victor, who was beginning to panic. The man was desperately trying to reach his jet as fast as possible, still flanked by two of his loyal guards.

"I won't let you escape, Victor!" Dominic roared before leaping forward and firing several shots at Victor. One of the bullets struck a guard, instantly taking him down, but the other managed to pull Victor away and tried to get him into the jet.

Seeing an opportunity, Dante quickly threw a smoke grenade toward the front of the jet. Thick white smoke filled the hangar, making it difficult for Victor and his men to move due to the limited visibility.

"Now! Take him down!" Dominic ordered loudly.

Marco and Dante charged in unison, shooting down the remaining guards. Meanwhile, Amelia successfully disabled the jet's security system, ensuring that Victor had no way to escape.

With no other options left, Victor glared at Dominic with seething rage. "You think this ends here?!" he snarled, his voice dripping with hatred.

Dominic walked closer, his gun still aimed at Victor's chest. "Yes, Victor. Your game is over."

Victor smirked, even though it was clear he was cornered, he refused to show any sign of weakness. His gaze remained sharp, burning with hatred.

"You think I didn't prepare for this, Dominic?"

Before Dominic could pull the trigger of his gun, a small explosion echoed from the other side of the hangar. In an instant, the steel wall to their left erupted with a deafening blast, creating a massive hole. From within the thick smoke, several of Victor's men emerged, fully armed and ready to fire.

"Damn it! He still has backup!" Dante shouted as he took cover behind a cargo crate.

Dominic immediately reacted to the unfolding chaos. "Take cover! Don't let them get Victor out of here!"

Gunfire erupted across the hangar. Dominic's team, already positioned at strategic points, quickly responded, covering each other while finding openings to take down Victor's men one by one. Marco and Dante worked together to hold off the attack from the left side, while Rebecca swiftly manipulated the hangar's security system, locking the main exit to prevent anyone from escaping.

Amelia, monitoring the situation from the surveillance room, noticed something alarming.

"Dominic! An armored vehicle is approaching the hangar from the north! They must have a backup plan to extract Victor!"

Dominic gritted his teeth in frustration. "We need to end this before they get here!"

With unwavering determination, Dominic leaped out of cover and fired his gun, hitting one of Victor's men as he advanced. At that moment, Victor seized the opportunity to sprint toward his jet, desperately attempting to start the engines that Amelia had previously disabled.

"Not so fast, Victor!" Amelia tackled him from the side, sending him crashing to the floor in an instant. They struggled briefly before Amelia managed to pull a dagger from her belt, pressing it against Victor's throat.

"Surrender now!" she demanded, her breath slightly ragged.

Victor let out a mocking chuckle. "You don't have the guts to do it, Amelia. You're not a killer."

Before Amelia could respond, Dominic arrived beside her, aiming his gun directly at Victor's head.

"But I," Dominic said coldly, "have no hesitation at all."

Victor locked eyes with Dominic, his gaze unwavering. But before Dominic could act, the sound of the approaching vehicle grew louder.

Dante shouted, "Dominic! Their vehicle is almost here! We have to move now!"
