Chapter 31

Alexander's eyes widened in disbelief as the officers moved closer. "No! You can't do this to me!" he shouted desperately. "This is a setup! They trapped me! You can't believe what they did! There's no way I could commit such a crazy crime!"

But the officers remained unfazed by Alexander's outburst. "You have the right to explain yourself, but not here. Anything you say can and will be used as evidence in court. Now, you need to come with us for further proceedings at the station."

As they reached for his wrists, Alexander instinctively stepped back in panic, his wild eyes scanning for an escape. But there was none. The walls seemed to close in on him, and the journalists relished every second of his downfall.

"You don't understand what's happening!" he yelled again, his voice trembling slightly. "I'm the victim here, and they are the real culprits! They can't stand seeing my company surpassing theirs!" He pointed accusingly at Amelia and Dominic.
