63. I Just Wanted to Fly, Not Die!

Holy shit!

That was my reaction when I suddenly appeared in the demon castle. It felt like I had stepped into an entirely different place. All the debris from the fight against the Demon Lord was cleaned, and repaired.

It didn't look terrifying anymore. Now, it was spotless, well-swept, and elegantly decorated. If anything, it almost looked like a human castle.

Except—

All the furniture had crawling legs. Just like the couch in Rose's tiny house, where I used to crash.

"I thought I sensed a familiar presence."

I heard Rose's voice echo from one of the many rooms. A moment later, she emerged into the throne room, where I had appeared.

"It's yours truly—your future husband," I announced with gleaming eyes and a smug grin.

"You mean a boy?" she replied flatly, completely shattering my confidence.
