Chapter 26: The Lost Memories
Emma's eyes fluttered open, her mind foggy and disoriented. She was lying in a dark, damp room, with no memory of how she got there.
As she struggled to sit up, Emma realized that her memories were hazy and indistinct. She remembered being a vampire, remembered the Master and Alex... but everything else was a blur.
A figure emerged from the shadows, its features indistinct. "Welcome back, Emma," it said, its voice low and menacing. "We've been waiting for you."
Emma's heart pounded in her chest as the figure drew closer. Who was it? And what did they want from her?
And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, everything went black again.
